Hydro Bright Pool Service

Paid several months of service for no service. Reached out several times through phone calls leaving voicemails each time and emails. No response, and each month the continue to auto withdraw. I reported them to the BBB who reached out several times with the same result as me. I had 6 months of continual auto draft taken out with no service. When they finally stopped I just moved on. Why fight with these people to refund me 6 months of services not rendered it's fruitless --- however they just reported my account to a debt collector to litigate unpaid invoices- of course I have all of those invoices with receipt of payment. I'm not the type to argue these things I'd rather just pay it to make the person go away - But these people are incorrigible. Do not use.

I have been using Hydro Bright (formerly known as Pinellas Chemical) for close to two years to do just the chemicals in my pool. They basically maintain the pool clarity by checking the pH of the pool and adding chemicals to keep the chlorine in check and making sure no algae develops. For the past two years my pool looks great week after week. Up until that point I had been using pinch a penny for well over 12 years spending on average $500/year on chemicals to keep my pool maintained. Since I use quicken to track my expenses it was very easy for me to go back and look at every expense I made at Pinch-a-Penny and I was shocked at what I was spending to do it myself. I probably could have spent less but I would always miss a week or two and let my pool get out of control only to spend twice or 3x as much to get it back in shape. I also would keep dangerous chemicals in the garage that are a definite liability with kids around. Sometimes I would stock up on chlorine only to find out that the shelf life of chlorine is limited and it would basically be useless a few weeks later when I put it in the pool. So basically, for about the same cost at doing it myself, I hired a company who comes out week after week and keeps the pool sparkling clean. I am pleasantly pleased with the quality and nature of the service. I would highly recommend this service to everyone so long as the weekly fees stay right about the same because it works and is better and cheaper than doing it myself.
