+ -1 moreThey come out to treat if we call them in between when we see any termites. I really like their warranty which is fairly reasonable. It puts them on call whenever we need them.

+ -1 moreHomeGuard has always offered a professional and thorough approach to addressing pest problems. Their products are non-toxic and extremely efficient. I have every confidence and have used them for a number of years.
Description of Work: A baiting system using no pesticides, only a neutrally occurring mite, borate solution sprayed in crawl space, behind walls etc and a borate solution sprayed around baseboards in closets and around the house.

+ -1 moreThey have been on time and treated the house annually. They come back for call backs and treat again. The termites are still there. They still leave their dust and wings in the house. We have been using this company since 2003, but will try another company now.

+ -1 moreMY INITIAL CONTACT & WHEN WORK BEGAN I WAS PLEASED, BUT THE CAULK USED TO FILL THE HOLES DID NOT MATCH MY WALLS. THEY DID NOT WARN ME THAT THE ATTIC SPRAY WOULD SEEP ANYWHERE, SWITCHPLATES, BASEBOARDS, ETC WERE NOT TIGHT AND MY BIRD DIED FROM THE SAFE PRODUCT.
Description of Work: TREATED MY HOME FOR WOOD DESTROYING TERMITES WITH A BORATE TREATMENT, SPRAY FROM ATTIC AREA AND IN HOLES DRILLED IN THE WALLS.

Description of Work: WE HAD THE PERIMETER BAITING SYSTEM FOR TWO YEARS. IN OUR OPINION, INFORMATION ABOUT THE LIMITATIONS OF THIS SYSTEM ARE NOT STATED CLEARLY FROM THE BEGINNING, AND LETTERS CONCERNING RENEWALS ARE MISLEADING... THEIR RENEWAL CORRESPONDENCE SAYS SOMETHING LIKE 'KEEP YOUR WARRANTY - OR DON'T LOSE YOUR WARRANTY'... WELL, THERE IS NO WARRANTY. SO THEIR RENEWAL MAILINGS CONTAIN IMPRECISE 'MESSAGES' AT BEST... AND MISLEADING AT WORST. WE HAVE NOT CHOSE TO NOT PAY THEM FOR A THIRD YEAR OF SERVICE BECAUSE THEIR SYSTEM IS NOT EFFECTIVE IN OUR SITUATION. AND, THE RENEWAL CHARGE IS TOO COSTLY (IN OUR OPINIO) FOR WHAT THE SERVICE CAN DO.

I REALLY DID MY RESEARCH BEFORE SETTLING ON A TERMITE TREATMENT AND A COMPANY TO USE, AND I FEEL THAT HOMEGAURD IS THE GOLD STANDARD AS FAR AS COMPANIES WHO USE SODIUM BORATE, AS THIS IS THEIR SPECIALTY. THEY ARE RELIABLE, FRIENDLY AND I THINK THE WORK WAS GOOD, ALTHOUGH MAY BE TOO EARLY TO TELL, AS THEY JUST DID IT AND TOO SOON TO TELL IF IT IS GOING TO WORK OR NOT, BUT I THINK IT WILL. THE TREATED THE BELLVIEW BILTMORE, A LOCAL LANDMARK, WHICH IS AN IMPRESSIVE REFERENCE, I THINK.
Description of Work: THEY SPECIALIZE IN NATURAL PEST CONTROL AND THEY USED A LIQUID SODIUM BORATE (TIMBOR BRAND) TREATMENT ON MY HOUSE FOR DRYWOOD TERMITE PREVENTION AND ELIMINATION. THIS IS AN ALTERNATIVE TO TENTING. THEY HAVE IMPRESSIVE REFERENCES ON THEIR WEBSITE AND ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL TO DO BUSINESS WITH. THEY ARE PUNCTUAL AND SHOW UP WHEN SCHEDULED. I THINK THEY DID A GOOD JOB.
