Description of Work: Our representative Mike was great! The fence looks great but the process could use improvement. The fencing catalog we were provided was old and had stains on it. We were left without any fence for the weekend without any communication or option to do so. There was also trash/debris left over. Multiple concrete bags still lay throughout my yard. We wanted to support a local business. We did and the service was fulfilled. These are just the differences between rating them as an A or B.

Description of Work: Gulf to Bay Fencing put about 110 feet of board-on-board privacy fencing up and one 4-foot gate. At first glance (and in the picture my son sent), the fence looked great. |Problems: |1) When I was given the quote I told them I chose them based on their Angie's List (which was supposed to give me a slight discount...I think it would have worked out to $20-$50). I was told, "Don't worry about that." by the salesman. Never did get a discount. |2) They "lost" my paperwork and it delayed my project by about 2 weeks. |3) The gate was stuck on one screw that was not screwed all the way in. |4) Walking through the gate I nearly poked an eye out on a screw that was sticking out the side of the gate. (I have pictures) |5) My neighbor and I had to remove and replace about 30-40 nails that missed the 2x4 and stuck out the other side of the fence...right where his son and his dog could be injured badly if they got to close to the fence. |6) I had to pick up cigarette butts that were discarded in my back yard. |7) A shirt was left in my backyard by the installers. I get it...it's summer and you're working outside, but if you're going to take off your shirt while you're working, please take it with you when you're done. I don't have any need for your nasty shirt. | |I sent pictures to the owner via text message, but never heard anything back after I gave them the check. |

Description of Work: They built a fence the way I wanted.

Description of Work: Crew showed up on time and ready to go, installed my fence and cleaned up before leaving. Very happy have contacted them about doing another section.

Description of Work: My next door neighbor and I decided to get vinyl fencing and, after receiving 3 estimates, we decided to go with Gulf to Bay Fence. In addition, Gulf to Bay was recommended by another neighbor. It would take a month or 2 before they would begin the install, which was fine. The majority of the fence is very nice. However, the gates have yet to be fixed correctly. We have 10' opening (2 5' GATES) and they gates do not line up and are difficult to open and close. We initially noticed the problem before they left after the install. They worked on it and it appeared to be ok. I called them to tell them they were still not correct, not 1 but 3 times. Someone was sent out, and again, the gates are not correct. I referred Gulf to Bay Fence to 2 different neighbors up the street. They too were not happy with the gate situation at their homes. I will say that everyone we dealt with was very nice, which was awesome.

Description of Work: Set up for free estimate on fencing. The estimator called twice to say he would be late. While looking at the backyard, he immediately stated that they could not put in a wood fence because of a shed near my fence?! I explained to him that he was the 3rd estimate I was receiving and I got both wood and vinyl quotes from others. Again, he stated they could ONLY do vinyl? His estimate was far above the other 2 I had received and I felt he was NOT professional. At this point I decided NOT to use their services.

Description of Work: originally contracted to use this company. then went with Foremost Fence / Home Depot. Wood was cracked, split, warped so contacted gulf to bay again & Arnie came out to look at fence. He saw all of the above and advised me to get Home Depot to fix. I decided to have money refunded from Home Depot and go with Gulf to Bay and then Arnie refused to do the job. I contacted the owner Ben and at first he agreed then called to decline stating he did not want to get a bad review / reputation. Now all of a sudden it is my fault for refusing to accept cracked/split/warped wood. I am assuming that the reason Gulf to Bay is declining is that they can do no better.

Description of Work: No services performed. Very disappointing. Lacking in customer service skills. I was promised a quote, but never received it. After a telephone call, the quote finally came and I had to call back yet again as the quote did not contain the information I requested. I did not feel the company was interested in my business.

Description of Work: No work performed yet. We call for an estimate and they came out when we asked. The estimator called to tell us he was delayed in traffice before their appointment time. even then it was less than 30 minutes. Once we contract with them and work is performed, we will submit a complete report. This probably won't happen until May-Jun time period. (Update, 6/8/10) We had 176 feet of 6 feet tall vinyl fencing installed on 5/26/2010.

Description of Work: We used Gulf To Bay Fence Inc. yesterday and they installed a fence for us.

Description of Work: I used Gulf To Bay Fence, six months ago. They did some fencing work for me.

Description of Work: Shawn came out and took measurements and spent a good amount of time measuring, drawing and explaining to me what Gulf to Bay Fence would do. I was replacing 45' of old wooden fencing. I had questions and got a quick response every time I called. After several other quotes I decided to go with them. After changing my mind on what kind of fence I wanted they were receptive and had a new contract done and sent to me immediately. Don showed up with a co-worker on Thursday as scheduled. They tore down the old wooden fence and replaced it with a white vinyl fence. All the posts were carefully cemented and everything was measured accurately. Due to having about a 3-4' incline on one side, Don had it stepped down beautfully, better than what we already had in place. The other side of the house had about a 6" cement wall that the new fencing needed to be placed over. This section was probably the worst to deal with but again, Don did an excellent job. The gates had to be done the next day due to various issues and were installed as promised the next day. Don and several co-workers arrived on Friday to install the gates, removed the old fence and cleaned up the new fence.

Description of Work: We used Gulf To Bay Fence Inc to put a white vinyl fence around the whole property.

Description of Work: I wanted a special picket fence. PVC made to look a special way that I could only find in iron. I also needed the spaces to be only 2,5" so my dogs couldn't get through. They did a wonderful job! I even changed my mind after the contract was signed and they still accommodated me, happily! They were all very nice. I plan to have more fencing installed and I will be calling Gulf to Bay!!!
