+ 2 moreThey provided extra protection @ kitchen entry to ensure my cats couldn't access during the 24 hr drying time. Some overspray that they fixed within a week. I then scratched the surface and they returned to fix (since it was not their mistake but mine, there's a charge for this, otherwise there's no charge)
Description of Work: Resurfaced kitchen countertops. Word of warning to all considering reglazing rather than stone or laminate: the surface scratches very easily (ex: I pull my ceramic coffee holder across the counter each night....this scratches the surface...requires pads be placed on all objects).

+ 0 moreIt went better than expected as working with contractors can be challenging. They were timely and kept to the schedule they set so the work was started on-time and completed pretty close to their expected end of job time. The owner was just a phone call away if we had questions or concerns that the workers couldn't address. He stopped by the job site almost daily to check on the work and it was wonderful knowing he was easy to reach. Everyone we worked with was pleasant and friendly and they did a great job. We had a few issues which were addressed and corrected immediately and we are very happy with the work they did. We would definitely use them again. The only comment I would like to make is they said the smell of the chemicals for the reglazing wasn't that bad and wouldn't last more than a couple of days. Well, the smell was very strong and with the windows and doors open as much as possible, lasted more like 3 - 5 days and we couldn't eat in the house during that time because it was so strong. I wish they had communicated that more clearly with us as we would have made alternate meal plans for those nights and included it in our budget.
Description of Work: The provider re-laminated kitchen cabinets and provided new cabinet doors and door handles. They also re-glazed the counter tops. We have a fairly large kitchen with lots of cabinets and most contractors (including re-glazers) wanted a minimum of $10,000 which was way out of our price range.

+ 0 moreWorkers were punctual and quick. When I returned to see the work and all the plastic was up and my stove was in the middle of the living room. I also noticed there was an area that was missing the product. I called and they met there so I could show them the missing area and move the stove back to the kitchen. The service man agreed that it was a mistake and we scheduled to have it fixed. I hid a key and they fixed the missing area. The missing area came out wavy and looks rushed. Luckily it is in a spot that is not that noticeable. Also, I am convinced that they got over spray on the ceiling and covered it with some random paint they had bc in the kitchen there is a shiny white spot about a foot by a foot wide on a "ceiling white" ceiling. I had this house painted top to bottom and the counters were the last project before renting out....my painters that I hired agreed that there was paint painted over something in the kitchen. The company denies it. I know it wasn't like that before. I think that their pricing was not competitive for non perfection. I will use this process again, but I will most likely not use this company again. The stove left in the living room, the part of the counter that was missed, the splotch on the wall......all too many "oops" for the money that they charge. If I had not called them back, I guess the assumption was that I was to remove the plastic sheeting myself as well? The end result is nice but again, if you are going to give discount service, give a discount price.

+ -1 moreWhen I last called them saw on the back of the contract a warranty which states suction cups should not be used. The salesman never went over the warranty on the back of the contract, which is still not filled in or signed. There is already a spot about 3" in diameter where the paint came loose, probably from the suction feet. This was repaired 12/13/13 when they came to fix the runs on inside of tub. The repair person told me this was probably my first and last FREE service call. I refused to sign the warranty when touch-up was done as they would not amend the suction cup warning. I asked for the owner to call me to no avail. 3/6/14 UPDATE : GO GREEN NEVER OFFERED ANY SOLUTION AS THEY CLAIM. THEY WERE THOROUGHLY SHOWN THE APPLICATION, A MEDICAL TRANSFER BENCH WITH SUCTION FEET, AND THE TUB IT SITS IN, BEING USED BY AN AMPUTEE, THE VERY FIRST THING. AFTER BEING TOLD IT SHOULD WORK THE SALE PROCEEDED AND WAS COMPLETED. THE BENCH CAUSED A FAILURE, FIXED ALONG WITH A TOUCH UP OF PAINT RUNS. AFTER THE FAILURE, I FIND OUT THE BACK OF THE SALES CONTRACT IS A WARRANTY NEVER SHOWN OR DISCUSSED WITH ME AND STILL TOTALLY UNCOMPLETED AND UNSIGNED WHICH STATES NO SUCTION CUPS. GO GREEN CLAIMS NOT TO HAVE UNDERSTOOD HOW THE BENCH IT IS BEING USED AND WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE GETTING IN AND OUT OF THE TUB WITH THESE BENCHES. GO GREEN TOLD ME THAT ANYONE SHOULD BE SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW A BENCH CAN NOT BE USED IN A TUB... WERE THEY REFERING TO ME, OR THEIR SALESMAN ???? THEY HAVE EVEN REFUSED A SOLUTION PROPOSED TO THEM BY ANGIES LIST. I HAVE NOTHING CONCRETE TO HELP ME SHOULD ANY PROBLEM OCCUR.
Description of Work: I have one leg amputated and must use this bathtub with a shower bench and mat which have suction cups and the salesman was shown this set up with exact usage discussed before anything else transpired. Sales contract was signed and the work completed.

+ 3 moreOUTSTANDING! We had the estimator come in and look at the work required which included a very badly pitted tub which also was chipping and pealing. He arrived on time, went over the procedures and what they could perform. We went to the show room 2 days later to get a better idea of available colors on a larger scale and chose a dark beige stone look to cover the old dated pink tiles from the 1950's. We scheduled start of work approximately 3 days later. We had removed the vanity, the mirror and cabinets. We had some problems removing the toilet and the gentleman actually assisted us with a tool we didn't have to do the job. The technician was neat and did a great job with the refinishing allowing us to take pictures as we went through the processes for documentation purposes. It took 2 days to complete and then we had another day that it took us to install the new vanity and cabinet along with some touch up painting. We have a great new bathroom that was so well done that we're considering having the tiles done in our kitchen by them as well. Excellent priced and workmanship.

+ -1 moreWe set up any appointment when we called and the saleman came the next day. We had a sample of ceramic blue tile to match for our retro bathroom. They matched the sample perfect. Came the following day to do the work. The worker worked until done and did a great job. We are very pleased with the results but since we just got it done we cannot attest to durability, but were provided with a guarantee for 5 years.

+ 2 moreThey did a beautiful job! The workman fixed a couple of bad spots in the sink before re-glazing, and now you can't even tell they were ever there. The cabinets look 1000% percent better than they did before. Everything was carefully masked off and a plastic barrier was put up so that the dust from sanding didn't go anywhere and when painting, no overspray. They even used a reverse blower to take the dust and fumes out doors. I'm very pleased.
Description of Work: Re-glazed the kitchen counter and sink in white with a black border and refinished the cabinets in white.

+ 0 moreOur shower tile had been reglazed with a white color before and the paint/glazing was coming off and revealing the old dark tile. The price that was quoted was around $1500 which was as much or close to the cost of new tile so we didnt proceed.

+ 0 moreThey were very responsive initially and seemed to be a company that was very focused on creating a positive customer experience. They go off to a great start but then they hit a wall. I paid them a significant amount of money for a pretty large project (kitchen plus two baths). Included in that pricing was new knobs and handles in the kitchen. They were short two knobs and one handle but I went ahead and paid them - mistake. Almost 8 months later after many many calls and promises, I still don't have the knobs or handles. Will probably never see them after posting this but would have wanted to know this before I spent $6000+ with them. Be sure to hold final payments until you have everything you are supposed to have.
Description of Work: Hired this company to refinish the cabinents and countertops in our kitchen as well as the cabinents and bathtubs in two bathrooms. The quality of the work was ok and they were quick to take our money in the beginning. The surfaces look great.

+ 2 moreWe were and are completely thrilled. Amazing is right: I had no idea this was possible! When we bought our house it had a grungy pink tub (installed c. 1964) and awful pink tile. We interviewed several people from Angie's list; all came when they said they would. We were most impressed by the friendliness and professsionalism of the folks from Go Green, and by the less toxic process they use. Went to their showroom and saw amazing looking results, but were frankly still a bit skeptical that our bathroom would look as good. But it looks perfect!. They came when promised, masked everything they were NOT doing carefully, and gave us a gorgeous white gleaming, like-new tub., surrounding tile. and tile on the walls. Due to a misunderstanding, they did not remove the shower door rail; when I called, they sent someone back who did it, matching the prior work on the tub completely invisibly, for no additional charge. I continue to be amazed just about every time I go in the bathroom. These guys are GOOD!

+ -1 moreWe are a repeat customer of go green and are just as happy with our second experience. I called on a Friday afternoon for an estimate to paint the tile in a large shower. Mike came the next day and gave us the estimate. I called him back on Wednesday to schedule the work. They came one week later. The technician was right on time and completed the work in the estimated time. This is a great way to change the color of existing tile. It saves a lot of time and money.
Description of Work: Painted the ceramic tile in a large shower in one of our bathrooms. The tile was good, just an outdated color.

Description of Work: I worked with Mark for a few months from long distance to repair several kitchen cabinets which were damaged by the oven. I had replaced thermafoil kitchen cabinets. Mark and his crew came over and did the job with the design cabinet doors I chose from their selection. I am very happy with their input on the selection of the doors and the doors seem to be of good quality. I also like that their door manufacturer is a local business as well, which I liked. I would use them again, but hope I don't have to.

+ -1 moreGo Green resurfaced one of our tubs and it only took about three hours from start to finish. When it was done we noticed the finish was not smooth it had a wrinkled look to it. There was also a small run on the side of the tub and over spray on our new tile. When we asked the tech about the finish he said it's an old tub and what you see is what you get. the next day we called Michael our salesmen to explain how disappointed we were with how the tub turned out. He scheduled someone to come out and look at the tub. A day later someone came out to look at the tub and said he could sand out the defects including the runs and over spray. Friday the guy came out and sanded the tub and cleaned the tile. The top of the tub is smooth but we can still see the wrinkles. The sides of the tub still have wrinkles that you can see and feel. We called Michael back and he said he would get with the tech and call us back that was last week and we still haven't gotten a call back from Michael. We will not be using this company for out second bathroom tub.

They did a great job, and worked around our tenants' schedule. More than a year later, the tub still looks very good. They were very professional, prompt, and had good follow up after the job. I would recommend them!

+ 1 moreI was a fair job at best. While they did replace the A/C filters and the light above the kitchen, that never should have happened if thingswere done correctly. If it does happen, then clean up the mess before the customer sees it! When they removed the paper from the protected area, dust particles fell on the the still wet surface on the countertops causing a "rough" feeling after it dried. The workergave me some sanpaper to smooth out the rough areas. I just payed them $3200, and I'm supposed to finish the job they messed up?!Do yourself a favor go buy NEW cabinets. The aggravation and stress will be a lot less!
Description of Work: I contacted "Go Green" about refacing my kitchen cabinets. Mike came out & showed me some samples. I picked out a color andasked Mike what he thought. His reply was "excellent choice". I asked if he thought it was too dark, his reply was "it will get lighterafter it is applied and has dried". I put my trust in the man and said OK. After the spraying was completed I found that the color DID NOT,as Mike said it would, get lighter. It was a depressing shade of brown.Upon closer inspection, I found overspray in my A/C filters that I replaced only a week before. Also, there was overspray on the lightabove the kitchen sink. There was also overspray outside of the containment area where they had used plastic sheeting.I called Mike to express my extreme displeasure with what I had discovered. He told me Mark would be out the next day. Mark came out with one of the workman that did the job. He repainted the ceiling around both of the A/C filter areas, replaced the light above thekitchen sink.At that time I told Mark about what Mike had told me about the color, and that I was not happy and asked what he was going to doabout a "redo"? At that time he advised me he was "developing" a way to paint the cabinets so that they look like a "natural wood".I said I would be interested. I then waited patiently to hear back from him. I tried getting hold of Mark, but he was never available toanswer any of my questions. He did not return my phone calls. He finally called me and we set up an appointment time. He broughtwith him samples of painted surfaces. I chose a color I liked. He said he would have to charge me so he could pay his employees. Heended up charging me over $500 to paint the cabinets. I found a box that they used that was from a home improvement store that hadall the materials to redo cabinets! So much for the "developing" story. I feel like I had been ripped off. They did not clean up after the work was completed. There was still painters tape on the inside of the cabinets they failed to remove,also they had paint on the top of both the microwave & fridge that were only six (6) months old that they failed to remove. I called Mark and told his voice mail that I was very upset, and that i could not give him a good review with Angie's List. I have been thru enough frustration and stress with this company.
