Mark's bid was very reasonable. However once work began he told me he would not be able to do the knock-down texture along the backside of my deck because it was too narrow. He also told me he would only do the horizontal surface, not the vertical surface facing the interior of the pool. This was never discussed during his initial on-sight visit. I was told it would be challenging but not a problem to do. The contract was vague on this so unfortunately I am out of luck. Mark was very nice but not always timely. A job that I was told would be about a week turned out to be over 5 weeks. The work is also a bit sloppy. I brought this up to Mark and he did try to clean up the dripped and uneven concrete and concrete on my bird cage and screen and then the paint that was uneven and dripped on the birdcage and my door sill. At the end of the day I am disappointed that I have a pool deck surface that is not what I envisioned. The crack was repaired but I now have 2 different textures on my deck. Now that I am in my pool swimming, I can really see where the concrete dripped down the vertical side and was just painted over. The grout under the rim of my pool was to be "touched up where needed". I now have grout and paint all over my tile where they did the touch up and many spots were missed. I will need to redo this myself. I did not pay the full price that was quoted because the full job was not completed. I still feel like I paid too much for the job that was done.
