We bought a water softener from the company. It has had to be replaced (under warrantee) 3 times in less than 8 years. They are rude and very hard to schedule, especially when it is concerning something under warrantee that they won't be making a sale on. This particular softener was less than a year old, therefore, still under warrantee. The serviceman came by, fixed the problem in five minutes, and when he left said, and quot;No charge.and quot; He had no service order for me to sign. A month later, I get a bill for $85. I contacted the company, to no avail. They are very rude and would rather lose a 10-year customer than waive that $85. Then they sent me a work order showing $85, but where the customer usually signs when the work is completed, it was blank. It was obviously written up after the fact.

For years we wanted one of these systems installed in our house but we didn't want to go through all the hastle. I found Culligans online one day and they claimed to have a simple install and maintenance program, if I rented one of their systems. They even say that if you are not happy with their product then they will uninstall it for free. I figured we'd give them a try since it seemed relatively simple and they would do all the maintenance. We are very happy we went with that choice because we are still quite satisfied with our reverse ozmosis system and it saves us the time and money of buying bottle water. The tech showed up in a clean vehicle with a nice uniform on and was willing to answer all of our questions beforehand. He literally had the system installed within 10 minuntes!He did not have to drill out anything and the system doesn't require electricity so there were no outlets to deal with and it only takes up one side of our undetr sink cabinet.

We have our whole house done as well. We have used them for many years. They have always been responsive. They have excellent customer services. The always taken care of any problems that we have. The equipment gives us the piece of mind that our water is good quality.

Salesperson gave me lots of misinformation when products were initially purchased, especially about longevity of Big Blue filter and its installation. Now working with director of operations, who appears very dedicated to making things right, will be crediting me for lots of work to be done and changing out the Big Blue unit for a 20'' and trying different filter elements to get things to work correctly. I flunk the salesperson, but everyone else has been good to work with.

I AM IMPRESSED WITH GULF COAST EVERY TIME WE USE THEM. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL, QUICK AND STAND BY THEIR WORK.

Rebuttal: Customer had them move water softner installed by someone else. Company does not charge for site assessment (fist visit). They must assess to find out what type of materials because there are so many different piping materials used in this area. Also, customer didnt know if they wanted it inside or outside. Company went out to place where customer wanted even though the placement was against the installers advise. Customer then decided they wanted it placed somewhere elso so company went out a third time at no charge to relocate softner. Customer never contacted company to let them know they were not satisfied. Company will go back out to correct at no charge.
