We didn't have any problems with them. They were great. We were quite happy with them - they did an excellent job.

Showed up on time, pleasant workers, cleaned up after themselves very well. Worked efficiently, beautiful roof.

When I called Cockney for an estimate, he was very prompt in returning my call and scheduling the appointment for repairs. He and his staff were very polite and professional when at my home. They had to make two visits to complete the job and I was unaware of the second visit until after they'd left, so when I went outside it was quite a pleasant surprise to see the finished job. They did an excellent job! The roof and soffit areas look better than before the fire.

Cockney Roofing was recommended by Handyman Carl. He contacted my son-in-law in California and discussed the roof problem and the installation of a new roof and cost. The Cockney Roofers arrived on time at 7:00 am and they were non invasive.

They did an excellent job before, during and after the work was completed. We were not easy customers as it rained and there still seemed to water puddling on the flat roof. They came back twice to put more of slope on it until we were satisfied. I don't know if it was supposed to have more of pitch but weren't happy and they corrected it immediately. We also asked for a full consultation (get us on the roof with them) to show us what they were going to do. The man who came over (Chaz) was a pleasure to work with. He answered all questions, no matter how silly they were (he was dealing with two ladies that don't know anything about roofs). Very pleasant and professional!

This was not the lowest of the 3 bids, but we got a good vibe from Cockney. The roof looked great to us until we noticed the city inspector left a note and did not signed the permit. There were some shingles sticking up. That's why the city inspector failed the roof a second time. The city inspector said the shingles were not set right and the shingles are "railroading", whatever that means. Cockney Roofing fixed and passed the inspection the third time. But before that, I noticed other things. (1) I immediately noticed 1/4 inch gap between two fascia boards on the front. I saw that from my driveway before I even got out of the car. I had them do that over. (2) I noticed a board cocked next to the end of one of the rotten trusses. One end of the board was touching the truss and the other was 2 inches away. The board should be parallel and flush. I had them do that one over. (3) They only re-enforced 2 rotten trusses. I had to ask them to do 5 or 6 more. (4) In one spot I noticed they had put new flashing over rotten wood. I pointed that out and the guy told me they could not fix it because the edge shingles were already sealed down. But I noticed the next day they had fixed it. Cockney Roofing was highly recommended by a friend of a friend and had good reviews here in Angie's List. We are very disappointed and I'm still noticing things such as, the ends of some re-enforced truss boards do not even touch the fascia board, and in one spot they totally missed hitting the new re-enforcement with their nail gun when shooting it through the fascia board, Yep, those staples just are hanging there in the air and didn't hit the board at all. The company is responsive, punctual, pleasant to speak with, and excellent at replacing shingles. But if there is any carpentry work involved, this is not your company.

I was happy with them. They came out with a good bid. They even showed up a day early and got the job done which was fine with me because the house was vacant. They cleaned up after themselves too. They charged exactly what they said they would. They didn't try to add any add-ons.

Cockney roofing was recommended to us by a long-time successful real estate professional/friend.Chas responded quickly to my telephone call and arrived at my home precisely as scheduled.His observations and comments on the "not-so-great" installation quality of the roof was spot-on. I wish Cockney Roofing was the installer of my roof. Chas was quick, neat, professional and courteous.We would definitely use Cockney Roofing again!

When you inherit a house you also inherit the problems and in my case that meant a leak in the roof. I called Cockney Roofing (in all honesty, I chose them so that I could find out if they were real Cockneys or not - They are!) and scheduled them to come out to give me an estimate. They arrived within the time frame given, took a look at the water damage on my walls and headed up to the roof. After about 20 mins, they came back in and I prepared myself for the worst. The report I got? "It was your flashing. I sealed it up. Give us a call if it leaks the next time it rains. Have a great day." Amazing! And even more amazing? It has now rained and the area is as dry as a bone. I will NEVER use anyone else for my roofing needs. Update: Several weeks after this, it rained from the right direction and I did see some water. Cockney came right back out, and sealed it again, still no charge. They are wonderful!!

Great job, everytime, big or small!

From the moment they showed up to provide an estimate to the day they ompleted the work was a great experience. Chaz the owner was very friendly and accomodating to our schedules when inspecting the storm damage and preparing a quote. The workers were very friendly, showed up on time for the three days they were here, put in hard shifts and never once left a mess. I have recommended them to a lot of friends (all very happy with their results) in the bay area and wouldn't use any other company. There are a lot of bad eggs out there in the roofing business and only a couple of years before we were ripped off badly - in fact - part of which caused the damage we had. It was refreshing to have met and worked with Chaz and Cockney roofing.

From beginning to end Chaz and his crew were professional and trustworthy. They cleaned up everything and ran the magnet over the yard to pick up any nails. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would highly recommend them.

This was a great experience . They returned my call promptly and came the next day to give me an estimate for a repair to a bad place and/or have a new roof put on the house. Their estimate for the repair was under $500 with some wood being replaced and the new 25 yr roof was $4320. I was told that actually I could wait another year to two years to replace the roof, but I opted to go forward with the roof replacement since I felt that in two years I may no longer be working or prices may go up. The roof was done within a few days, they cleaned up everything and it passed inspection the next morning. They immediately gave me the release of lien paperwork I requested. It was the smoothest, least problematic thing I've ever had done at my house.

I've been very happy with them. The jobs go very well, they say what they are going to do and then they do it. They give very fair pricing. The last time they did something extra and what they billed me I thought was extremely reasonable.

My experience with them did not go well. In spite of their third visit, the leak did not stop. Their representative who gave the estimate was very professional. However, the crew that came to do the work were not professional.

Chaz had a few of his crew come out and make some repairs to our tile roof. This entailed some work to flashing and replacement of broken or cracked tiles. They were really helpful in pointing out some areas that needed work that we were not aware of and would have caused a lot of damage inside our home during the storm season if left unchecked. We appreciated them going over and beyond their call of duty to help us on a very limited budget and when it's time to replace the roof in a few years there's only one roofing company I'll be calling for sure!

While doing laundry in the garage I noticed the wall was wet. This was the same area I had a leak last year and Cockney came out and repaired the area. I phoned them in the afternoon and they responded the next morning. They not only remembered the area in question, went right back and pulled surounding roof tiles and identified the problem. In the time it took me to put away my garden tools, the roof was repaired and the gentlemen were on their way. There was no charge for this visit and repair. I only guess the reason for no charge was because it had be repaired previously by them 9 months ago. This company also ngave excellent service to a friend of mine. If and when I ever need to get a roof replacement, I will definitely call Cockney back. Kudos to them!

I was so appreciative of these gentleman (Charles & Graham). The other two roofing companies I called had not even called back. These two guys showed up the next day and took a look at the roof. They said it wasn't more than two shingles sticking up which they could easily repair. They worked on it for about 30 minutes and would not take any money for the work. They asked that I remember them if I needed work done in the future.

YOU DEAL WITH THE OWNER CHAS CONLON. HE IS EXCELLENT AS WELL AS HIS ENTIRE CREW.

THEY WERE PROMPT IN GETTING OUT TO REPLACE OUR OLD ROOF, BUT AFTER THEY FINISHED, A LEAK DEVELOPED, WHICH WAS NOT THERE BEFORE THEY DID THE WORK. WE CALLED THEM OUT TO FIX IT THREE TIMES, AND THEY WERE TERRIBLE ABOUT RETURING OUR CALLS OR CALLING BEFORE THEY WERE TO COME OVER (SO WE HAD NO IDEA WHEN THEY WERE COMING OR WHAT THEY DID). WE ARE CURRENTLY TRYING TO GET THEM OUT TO FIX THIS LEAK, WHICH HAS RUINED THE CEILING IN PART OF THE HOUSE, BUT CANNOT GET THEM TO RETURN OUR CALLS.
