BOB JARVIS INSULATION INC

After a small problem with the estimator the workmen arrived on timely and on schedule. They then proceeded to explain that they could not perform a portion of the contract due to conditions that were fully apparent and explained to the estimator. They said they could only complete the work in the attic area after I paid them additionally to evacuate the old insulation. They proceeded to install insulation in the cathedral ceiling and then left saying they could return after the old insulation was removed. After contacting the manufacturer's representative I found out that they were in fact willing to complete the project as originally estimated but they then lied to me about having a conversation with the same rep in explanation of there willingness to complete. Following this apparent lie and the apparent bait and switch scheme they had attempted and very poor workmanship, I was unwilling to allow them to return. Fired.

MR. STACY KOTIS (BOB JARVIS INSULATION) PREPARED AN ESTIMATE ON 8-4-06. ESTIMATE QUESTION ON CALCULATION OF SQUARE FEET. MR. DAN KIBURZ STATED WHEN THE TECHNICIANS ARRIVED TO SPRAY THE INSULATION THE CALCULATION WOULD BE REDONE. AFTER TWO DELAYS, THEY ARRIVED ON SEPTEMBER 6 AND DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT RECALCULATING THE PRICE. THEY SPRAYED THE LOWER PORTION OF THE BUILDING AND UPON THEIR RETURN, I MENTION SOME OVERSPRAY ON ONE OF THE FOUR SKY LIGHTS. I WAS IN THE HOUSE WORKING AND UPON BEING NOTIFIED THAT WOULD WAS COMPLETE AND INSPECTION REVEALED THAT ALL FOUR SKY LIGHTS WERE COMPLETELY SPRAYED OVER. THE TECHNICIANS STATED THAT THEIR WORK ORDER DID NOT STATE NOT TO SPRAY THE SKY LIGHTS. I IMMEDIATELY CALL MR. JARVIS IN CANADA AND WE DISCUSSED THE SITUATION. HE SAID WHEN HE ARRIVED IN FLORIDA, I WOULD BE CONTACTED AND THE MATTER WOULD BE CORRECTED. REPEATED CALLS TO BOB JARVIS WERE UNANSWERED.
