Professional small business owner - job well done

Initial trouble in procuring the product we wanted but Jerry pushed hard to find replacements and get the job done on time. Installers he used were very professional and a pleasure to work with.

We were very pleased with the work they had done! They did a very good job!

I initiated the purchase in their showroom on Missouri ave. I was able to see several types of wood flooring and chose the desired pattern. Ordered it there, and set a date for install. Since I was remodeling the entire house, I waited until after the walls were done and any celling work was done. The order was delivered as promised, they came in installed in designated time, cleaned up and left. No problems, all installation as promised. Now 6 months later, the floors are in very good condition, and i love them. Will never have wall to wall carpet again.

They will put the new floor in, in December while we are in Michigan for the holidays. I will be able to answer the questions more fully after installation.

I spoke to the owner's wife on the phone just to ask a few questions about what kind of damage a dog can do the a hardwood floor and she gave me 5 time more free helpful information about renters and hardwood floors than I would have even thought to ask. She was very friendly I willing to go out of her way to help me with the advice I was looking for.

I agreed on the start date and made a deposit of 50% to pay for wood. They came on-time and every day to finish the project. It was estimated to take 5 days to prep and install the 966 sq ft of flooring. Prep took a little longer after they ripped out the carpet, which they disposed of, and found huge gashes and uneven flooring. This led to additional cans of prep to even out the floors. The project manager had me come by the house (they worked while I was at work) to show me the situation and have me make a decision on whether I wanted to spend the extra money. I paid an additional $65/bucket and they had to use several buckets. They moved rapidly but had to rearrange some larger pieces of furniture that I couldn't move. I got daily updates on what to expect to be completed the next day. They installed the shoe molding, but had said in advance that they would not paint it. They finished in the estimated time. So far the floors look good and I havent' found any loose parts. They said if the floor does lift I should call and they would come back to fix it.

Installation was good work with one exception . Had some problems with asmall area by our bedroom entrance that squeaked after the installation. Jerry came out and tried to inject some glue but it was inefective. Upon other calls he basically indicated there was nothing he could or would do or that if he did, he would charge me. I eventually hired someone else to repair the squeak of which they did sucessfully. I was told it squeaked because the preparation in that area was not done correctly. Also has stairs done. Afterwards I found out that there were solid treads and risers availible (in lieu of using 2 1/2 inch strips) Had I been aware of this I believe I may have opted fpr the latter. I was disappointed that this was never mentioned as an option to me. Overall my experience was good and with the exception of this one problem Jerry was very proffessional. I should note that the work was subcontracted but it appeared that he has a good relationship with that sub and used him on a regular basis. I later did a substantial addittional project but I did not use Bell Hardwood because I was unhappy wth the way he would not take responsibilty for repairing the one improperly prepared area that squeaked from his previous installation.

Company was professional and price was completive. Workman were on time, clean, and professional.
