Dear Member, We regret your experience with Bay Area Heating and Cooling was viewed as less than outstanding. While it is a challenge to reply to your review because it does not explain the specifics of how we did not fulfill the terms of the agreement, we will try to mount a fair and accurate response none-the less. Your original purchase was a $49.00 Tune Up. When our service tech arrived to your home, your thermostat was not working, it was completely blank. Our tech could not complete the tune up with the faulty thermostat and recommended a replacement. According to our records, he provided a price for this and clearing the drain line. It is our understanding that you were not completely convinced the thermostat was broken and ended up speaking with our operations/service manager. Based on your situation, our operations/service manager explained you would have been better served with our other Storefront coupon at the time, $55 HVAC Service Call, Diagnostic Check plus $50 toward service. He offered to honor the $55 for $50. Basically, we were willing to eat the small $6 difference ($49 v $55) and offer the $50 toward getting the thermostat and if need be, anything else wrong with the system fixed. According to our operations/service manager, you chose to pass and since no real work had been performed or charged he directed you to call Angie's List for a refund. You also spoke with our Marketing Director regarding your refund. He explained refunds are completed exclusively by and through Angie's List. When you said Angie's List told you to call Bay Area Heating and Cooling, he called Angie's List to be sure. Angie's List confirmed their procedure has all refunds run through them. He called you back promptly and relayed the information and provided a number for you to call. After we received your review, we again contacted Angie's List to confirm your refund had been processed and it had. We regret your tune up/service did not go without a hitch. Per the above, we worked diligently to provide you the best experience we could under the circumstances.
