Christopher called about 30 minutes before he was due to arrive to say he was on time. That is always nice. Inside and out he did a very good job. Christopher is very personable and professional. Will call again for a check up or any problems I might have. Nice to know my a/c is working like it is supposed to.

I had my AC stop working over the weekend and spoke to someone in their scheduling area where it was decided it was best to wait until Monday to schedule, noted the coupon in Angie's List and said someone would call Monday morning. I got a call Monday as promised and the service was scheduled. The company called me during the day with a status of the timing of the Technitian's arrival time and the basics of the service call which I appreciated very much. The technitian (I believe his name was Vince) was very professional and worked quickly. I know a little about plumbing and electricals but nothing about AC repair. He could have told me my Flux Capacitor was broken or I needed a new inboard phlange or some other nonsense and I would have believed them, just needed cool air. Vince looked things over and suggested replacing the fan and compressor capacitors and thought that would do the trick. So far it has. He also ran through how to clean the outdoor unit and general internal maintenance tips too. I really appreciated the treatment and the tips. I would recommend Bay Area to anyone and will use them again as needed.

They were timely and professional. In have not had any problems since they have replaced the motor. The price was a little more than what I was expecting but it was fair.

They came by promptly and inspected it without even charging me a service charge, then came back the next day at the agreed upon time and fixed the problem. The repairman that came was great about explaining the problem and my options.

They were great. It seemed like they were really honest. They also remedied the problem. They came to the appointment on time and customer service was great. I also bought a Big Deal from Angie's List for them to do some work in the future.

They came so quickly, I had just called and he was here within the hour. He found out what the problem was and told me a whole bunch of stuff about what the problem was. They got right to the quick, fixed it and left.

Everything went extremely well. The office was prompt and responsive. Their price was very competitive. In fact, a competitor’s bid was the same as Bay Area’s, but for a far less superior product than a Trane. We’re really enjoying our new unit. It’s doing an excellent job, and our electric already lower than it was.

Two days later my heat pump/condenser was replaced, an ultraviolet air sanitizer and correction of my duct work was installed. The technicians were polite and explained each step as they performed it. I have since recommended them to a friend who had a new unit installed and she is equally pleased.Thank you Bay Area!! I had a great experience with them. They were very good. Every time there was a problem with the system, they were very responsive. They send the technician out very quickly and take care of it. I would use them in the future.

These guys were great! I have a crazy schedule and they worked around that. Sean came in the evening to access the job and stayed until all questions were answered. When the initial financing did not work out, they were patient in waiting for me to explore opitions. I needed for the whole job to be done in one day and they stayed after 8:00 pm to get that done. Vicky coordinated every thing from the consultation to the post-job codes inspection with a step by step "Hand holding" that made me feel confortable.

The representative recommended a new system due to the age of the system. He told us that the system was 14 years old. I pointed out that we havn't owned the house for 14 years and we had a new system installed since buying the house. We were told that the coils would have to be removed to clean them properly but the coils were rusted too severly to successfully remove and reinstall them. New ducts and returns were recommended due to their deterirated condition. The quote ranged from $3,834.00 (with $200.00 Angie's list discount) for an air handler only to $5,650.00 for a complete system. We paid him and asked him to leave. We then called 2 other companies for 2nd and 3rd opinions. We have now gotten the coils removed and reinstalled for cleaning, the fan removed, cleaned and reinstalled, a UV light installed in the air handler to deter mold and the ducts cleaned for a total of $745.00 using both companies in tandum to reward their honesty. They agreed that the system should last another 2 or 3 years. We went from a minimum estimate of $3,834.00 to a final payment of $745.00 because we got 2nd and 3rd opinions. I'm not happy.

I live in a home that is 30+ years old and this was my third system to be installed. Bay Area originally came out because I did not have AC working. Sadly, the system was too worn out to fix. They came and installed a new Trane Heat Pump, Air Handler, Thermostat (that even tells me the humidity in the house), The crew arrived on time, did their work, cleaned up afterwards. I could not have asked for a more considerate team to work at my home. Plus Vickie in the office kept me updated on when the crew would arrive, etc. It is painful to have a AC Heat Pump bill for almost $10,000 but the experience was wonderful. The crew also upgraded my unit by installing new hurricane foundation pad, hurricane clips and total removal of old equipment. Because I am an Angie's List member, I benefited with a $200.00 credit as well as a $500 discount from Bay Area for winter trade in promotion and the TECO credit of $275.00. Next year I will also have the $300 Federal Tax Credit to include in 2012 tax . So after the discounts and creidts the installtion total was $8,424.. There was a need to return to correct two items to have the county permit OK's and they were prompt and took care of this as well. Great to do business with Bay Area Heating & Cooling.

They were personable, knowledgeable, and the gentleman who came out even gave me instructions on how to program the thermostat myself. They were in and out in one day, used drop clothes, and swept up after themselves. Their salesman gave me a follow up call, and offered me several packages for the project. One of them included get interest free funding for 60 months for the equipment.

They were very professional when they replaced our home air conditioner. We were please with their services, and thought the pricing was fair. We would definitely use them again.

I had an extremely bad experience with them. I wouldn’t recommend them. They are my worst enemy. I did not like the guy who came here. He was extremely pushy. I have dog. I told them that I dint want him to come in the house. I told them that if he needed anything, my husband would get him. He said that he just loved dogs and he barged into the house. Then he wanted to complain as one of the dogs was not friendly enough. He wanted to go and see the thermostat. He was not a qualified technician to do that. They were supposed to give me a new permanent filter for the units. I never got that. When I called them, they said that we didn’t need any filter; that was part of the deal. They told me that it wasn’t a part of the deal. I printed out the deal and showed them. They told me that they had to get back to me. They always told me that they had to send somebody out to measure it and they didn’t know when somebody would be able to come. I sent a mail to Angie’s list and they called me back and told me that they would send somebody on 13th December at 11:00 clock. It wasn’t convenient for me that day and I told them that. After that I haven’t heard a word from them. They told me that Freon was not required so I called the people whom I used earlier and was happy with. They told me that Freon was required. I would not use them in the future.

My overall experience with them was excellent. I compared prices with other companies and they were in the ballpark of what I wanted, so that was excellent. They were definitely very responsive. They were here when they were supposed to be here. They also followed up. They were here on time. What I bought from them is guaranteed for ten years.

They did a really great job. I was very pleased with them. It is a great unit and it works great. They have done the service checks. They were prompt and everything they said they were going to be. They were great and I will absolutely continue using them.

We're very happy so far. It was supposed to be a three day job and the crew arrived on time and got straight to work, so it was done in two days instead. I never saw any of the crew standing around not working, breaks were very minimal. They took their time making sure everything was perfect, checking and double checking everything. They were extremely professional and courteous.There were no problems answering any questions I had. Work areas were kept tidy and they even swept the floors in my house when they were done each night. This was a big job and this crew was excellent! My new HVAC system is working wonderfully, it's so quiet and my house is more comfortable than ever. I am very happy with Bay Area and highly recommend them, you wont be disappointed! Update: Today the Hillsborough City Inspector came to inspect the work completed by Bay Area. She said that she is very impressed with the quality of workmanship and said everything is above and beyond. She said you simply do not see this quality these days, no cutting corners or skimping. Everything was done to perfection. If that doesn't speak for this company I don't know what does!

This Big Deal Coupon was money well spent! I was nervous about this air conditioning tune up as the condo is older and we are new owners. The Bay Area Heating and Cooling office worked with me to schedule an appointment within my travel schedule. I especially appreciated being told who would come out representing the company to service our unit. They arrived within the time frame given, were courteous and professional. Routine maintenance procedures were explained and options for further unit protection were provided. Bay Area Heating and Cooling will be our go-to person!

They were wonderful! They even let me know about an online coupon ahead of time. The technician was very nice as well. Their price was very fair ($100 to $200). I felt that I was treated very well.

They were terrific. I happened to be in Chicago once when they had installed an air pump and air handler for me. They handled everything for me on the phone. The owner of the company called me and told me about the choices I had and warranties. Within three days of that conversation they were here to install the unit. Everything went very smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone. When I called them for the present service, they came out an hour after I called them. Their customer service is terrific. Their staff is very personable. They always try to remedy the problem. They found out that there was a loose connection that was causing the problem. They cleaned out the whole system while they were here and did not charge me for that service. I would use their services in the future also.
