The experence I had with "Bay Area Heating & Cooling" was very professional, both in my conversations with Vicky in the front office & Ron & Steve the installers. Dave was the orginial service person who found a problem, and who returned to give me an estimate as to the cost of repair. Dave advised me of said amount. I asked him how old the unit was, and he replied "10 years". At that point I deceided it was time for a replacement. Dave checked the wiring & other items to make sure the replacement unit would match up with everything that was pre-existing in my home. He quoted me a price that I was comfortable with, and also told me of the rebates I would be receiving. With the rebates I would receive, it knocked the price down almost $1000. I gave Dave the verbal "OK" to go ahead with everything. A few days later the very nice lady in the front office (Vicky) called and asked me when I wanted to have my new A/C installed. I told her, and she said they would be out in two days. Ron & Steve were prompt and couertious. They explained what they were going to do and how long it would take for the removal of the old unit and to install the new unit. They were hard workers and did an excellent job of installation. Upon completetion they checked the unit for proper working oder, then explained the thermostat panel, since the previous one was different. They took the time to check the air flow coming from the ducts. I asked them some questions and they did not hesitate to answer them. Before they left they made sure, once again, that the unit was working properly and if I had any questions about the unit. They cleaned up the area & took ALL debris with them. This type of customer service use to be commonplace many years ago, so it is VERY refreshing to see a company like "Bay Area Heating & Cooling" continue the pratice of customer satisfaction. The money I spent was worth every penny. I now know that I have something that was installed correctly & will last for a long time. If you need any service work that needs done, do not hesitate to call these people. You will have a pleasant experence, and be dealing with VERY COUERTIOUS people espically Vicky in the front office.

Purchased a Big deal for Bay Area Heating and Cooling, Inc. They did good job on the inspection on the furnace and AC unit. He suggested we have some additional work done. The other company that came out and gave us a quote to clean and replace some ducts. The cost seemed extreme, didn't have that work completed.

Indicated unit was old and inefficient. It was 17 years old, and likely very inefficient by todays standards. They wanted to know if I was interested in maximizing the performance of old unit or the cost of a new unit. I asked for the price of a new unit. They recommend that I should get a 3 ton Trane brand unit, with a seer rating of 17 for a price of about $7500. I checked with the A/C tech at my church and ultimately went with a 2 1/2 ton Rheem brand unit, with a seer rating of 15 for only $4,000.

I have used them before and have always been well pleased. The phone contact was with Vicki, and she is always pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The technician, Marc, came on the date and time scheduled. He did a thorough job and explained what he was doing. I will definitely use them again - not only for yearly tuneup but for any problems I may encounter.

After having the unit installed, we seemed to have several issues with it cooling, however once it was determined that a leak was present, John had his crew over here to get the leak repaired and made sure that we had cold air before they left. Any issue that we had was resolved in a very professional manner. They are prompt, courteous and fully able to address any of your needs. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have not had my a/c serviced in 5 years. Lack of funds. I believe my A/c is very very old. He cleaned the muck out of my system, explained to me that my coils are rusting and the a/c will go bad to start saving to replace. Did maintence and work to keep it running, and explained how the different parts of the a/c, air handler, duct work all works. I have never owned a home before so I really had no clue. He educated me, answered my questions. My maintence took up a good part of his day, because of my lack of earlie maintence, but he did not take any short cuts and was patient and through. My a/c is running well, and I will use them when I am ready to replace me entire unit.

Although they were a little late in arriving because they had to pick up additional equipment that they don't usually carry on the truck with them to clean the ducts, once they arrived, they started immediately and explained what they were going to do before completing the work. I explained my situation to them that I really wanted to hold off on replacing the unit until next year if that was at all possible. When they completed all of the work, he explained that usually he would have recommended that I have my duct work sealed because there was a fair amount of cold air leaking out, but since I was planning on replacing both the air conditioner and air handler next year, that they would do that service as a part of the replacement for free so I should wait and do it all together. The service work took several hours to complete and I really felt like they did a great job. Additionally, when I need to replace my unit, I will definitely use this company as they are honest. They did not do a huge sell job for additional services and they did not tell me that there were a multitude of things wrong with a unit that I know is working, but instead just gave me recommendations for what I should do when I am ready to replace the unit.

Technician did a very thorough test of my a/c system. Told me where it was not functioning as it should and made recommendations based on cost effectiveness of repairs.

Overall the service was fine. We were having our annual maintenance performed and used Angie's List "Big Deal". They did try to sell us a few repairs/replacement of parts, but we declined.

I called them to make an appointment but they didn't have any openings until mid-June and there would be several extra costs involved as well. Instead I found another Big Deal for a lower price and a higher value than this one.

Overall, very pleased. Comprehensive analysis and examination.

THEY ARRIVED ON TIME AND DID THE JOB AS REQUESTED. THEY WERE HELPFUL AND POLITE.

As previously stated, the whole transaction was satisfactory to all parties.

The serviceman fixed the problem with our a/c flooding in the garage. He also found found a part in our heat pump that wasn't working up to snuff. Great job....

They missed the first two scheduled appointments. I had a company here when they came here when they came out for the 3rd scheduled appointment. When they came out, I was not here so i asked that they just clean the units for the time being. When I called back to have them replace the thermostat, we worked it out that they would service fee. They said they would do the job for $231.18. They came out and replaced the thermostat and told me that the unit was working before they left. When I tried to use the unit the next day, it didn't work. When I called them back to come out, they came and said the unit was not working at all. So they installed the thermostat and said the unit was in working order, only to tell the next visits later that the unit no longer works. I don't think I should have had to pay for the installation for them to install a thermostat into a non-working unit.

They did a wonderful job. They gave suggestions on what needed to be done.

Arrived on time; did everything he was supposed to do and communicated not only what was done but what why and made suggestions re other things we could do long term to improve system.

I liked everything about them. They were very professional and came in and looked over all my equipments for the heating and air.

The check-up and the two add-on went well. While the guy was performing and trying to re-create a loud start because I mentioned it seems loud to me, he accidentally blew out my circuit board on the outside unit. He came the next day while I was at work and installed the part with no extra fee for part or labor.

Dave from "Bay Area" Heating & A/C arrived before appointment time. He asked what problem I was having.(just to verify what the work order stated) After confirming everything was correct on the work order,he went to work checking the A/C unit. He advivised me that my system was low on freon, and that he will recharge it. Before doing the work, he showed me their book of services and charges. I agreed to the amount quoted to me by Dave. Dave noticed that my "Quick Disconnect" box on the side of the house was very loose. I visually saw for myself that it indeed was loose. I asked Dave if he could replace the box and he said "yes". He showed me what they charge for that, and I told him to replace the box. Dave was always ready to answer any and all questions that I asked of him. Dave did his work in a neat and professional manner. I felt very confident that the work he performed was up to code and no problems would arise. I am very glad I chose "Bay Area Heating & A/C for my needs. I'm sure you will feel the same way one you give them a try. Oh, one more thing I failed to mention, when you call for a service problem you will talk to very knowledgeable and couretioues office staff. They can diagnose your needs and then write the work order so that the tech can be ready to fix your problem. Summer is approaching rapidly, so if you need a check up or work done on your A/C give "Bay Area" Heating & A/C a call.

I purchased a big deal to use their service. They planned to sell me the whole system. They said the mold wasn't unusual. They put some bleach through and removed it.
