Bay Area Heating & Cooling installed my daughter’s new air conditioner five years ago. I was extremely pleased with the job they did so, when I needed more work, they were my first call. It was time to replace the obsolete two-zone damper system and thermostats, which takes the air conditioning from one A/C unit and distributes it between two different areas in the house using separate thermostat controls – for example, upstairs and downstairs. Despite some compatibility issues, Bay Area Heating & Cooling worked through the problems with dedicated effort. Their honesty, integrity and professionalism impressed me once again. They made sure I was completely happy with their service so I’ll be using them in the future, not only for my daughter’s house, but for mine, too. Highly recommended!

Kenny the technician was terrific! Very experienced, willing to explain what he was looking into and results. Athletic... we climbed to roof of building without a hitch so he could examine the actual unit. He was friendly, very personable , and knowledgeable. will certainly ask for him again! appreciated the coupon as well!

They came quickly, diagnosed the problem, went to get the part & installed--all in just over 2 hours. I have used this company for 6 years & been pleased with their competence & professionalism. Weekend service can be a problem if parts are needed. Sometimes need to speak with a manager or above. I have maintenance contract.

I'd like to start by stating that everyone I worked with was extremely pleasant and friendly. These folks are great to speak with and are nice and accommodating --from the ladies in scheduling to the technicians. I had quite a few issues and the team was always willing to fix the problem to try to make it right--my concern is that there were so many problems to fix. I am not very happy with the (lack of) attention to detail and quality of work and time it took to get the job done correctly. I had an upstairs air handler that was dripping and leaking condensation (only four years old). I had the same issue previously (a year ago) that I thought was fixed. I had a similar leak issue pop up and it took 3 different visits to diagnose the issue and on the fourth visit, I paid to replace the evap. coil. This was an expensive replacement, and when I checked on the work after the techs had left, I saw that the drain line connection had been broken and was leaking all over my upstairs. They were quick to come fix it, yet it wasn't sealed correctly. After two more visits, I think the air handler is finally functioning without leaks. I paid $1,700+ and had 6+ visits. To me, this is unacceptable. I asked for additional compensation (discount off the work based on the consistent issues and extra service visit inconveniences). There wasn't much urgency in responding to my requests that weren't service related, and ended up being told that no such discounts would be applied. It's just disappointing that this seems to be an acceptable standard for the company. I'd be embarrassed if I was responsible for a customer experience like I had. It's difficult because everyone was so friendly, but at the end of the day, it took too much time and money to get the job done right.

Spoke to Tina who very efficiently managed to send a tech out although they were booked solid for the next 2 days. Vince came out, checked everything thoroughly, and no problem was detected, so we believe it was a temporary glitch caused by the power surge. Vince was very polite and professional. I very much appreciate both Vince and Tina who both went out of their way to help me. I would like to add that the a/c unit was installed only a few months ago, and there were no service charges.

I was less than thrilled to be searching for a company to install a new AC/Heat Pump unit in the July heat in Florida. Time was of the essence and money was not growing on trees! We had received 5 estimates for a new install about year ago. One of the estimates was from Bay Area Heating and Cooling. We called them on a Monday and got a personal call back from the owner (most companies had secretaries or associates handling calls and estimates). They still had our estimate from a year prior. John was so helpful and walked us through all of our options. John even invited me to the office and gave me a personal tour of the operations and all of the different options we could choose. John worked with us on the pricing and financing options. We ended up getting a much better system than we had ever expected. The guys came out Thursday and after sweating away in a hot attic for most of the day had the system completely installed and running the same day. The installers were professional, informative, and very clean. The area of the install looked better after they left than when they arrived!! To say we had an amazing experience with Bay Area Heating and Cooling would be an understatement.

Everyone that they sent out were very conscientious and thorough. They will give you a detailed check list for what they have done.

Literally the worst company i have ever hired to do anything ever. Went from a 10 year old under-sized unit for my house that at least kept it cool, to a brand new 2.5 ton unit and now its 80 degrees in my house. The a/c runs constantly and barely puts out cold air, and oh yeah.. they want $1200 to fix what they think is wrong with it despite having a warranty and they arent positive that will even fix it. Use ANYONE else but these guys.

The service technician was prompt, friendly and quick in fixing my AC problems. After going through several AC companies in the Land O Lakes area, Bay Area Heating & Cooling is now my go to A/C company.

I am very much a reviews person, and they did not disappoint here. The tune-up done was great. He was very thorough. I would highly recommend.

The job went very well. Good installation team and follow up supervisor. The county inspector signed off on the permit and commented on the good job they had done.

Two weeks ago, I called them when my air conditioner wasn't cooling. They accommodated my schedule, came out and fixed the problem quickly. One week later, my elderly mother's heater wasn't working. They came out within a couple of hours of my call, identified the problem and fixed it right away. The technician even called me before doing the work at my mom's to explain the issue and authorize service. Everyone I have dealt with - from the receptionist who answers the phone to the technicians - are responsive, courteous and professional. They get the job done quickly and don't try to oversell. I will use them again and whole-heartedly recommend their services.

Contacted Tina at Bay Area H&C during the coldest day of the year. They were swamped but Tina managed to schedule a tech for that morning. Mike, the technician, contacted me about 15 minutes prior to let me know he was en route and arrived exactly on time. Within 15 minutes he diagnosed the problem which was a bad thermostat and replaced same with a new one he had with him. He was very polite and professional and took the trouble to explain what he was doing and the correct operation of the new thermostat. Bay Area H&C is my go to company for HVAC issues.

After hours on holiday weekend,I was able to get someone from BayArea to come out as we had no heat. There was a mistake made by a different company, Bayside Heating and Air Conditioning.. They did not have answering service and I learned to go with company that has a service 24/7. So now I will use this company and the tech was very knowledgeable.

They came when they said, they cleaned up. They were the lowest bid and they were the only ones to come out and actually look at the system. I have absolutely no complaints they were great!

good. It took two trips, but credit was given for the first trip. Price was higher than I expected, but I guess in line with Florida pricing.

Called Bay Area Heating. Left message with answering service since it was before they opened. Had a return phone call shortly after 8am. Staff was pleasant to talk to. Stated they only had one appointment available which was first thing. As my A/C was out I quickly agreed to it. A technician responded (Greg) within the hour and diagnosed my problem quickly. Greg was polite, friendly and professional. Greg provided me with a quote, one just to get problem fixed, the second was if I wished to join their service plan. Greg advised they did not have the part in that I needed and could be as late as Monday. Several hours later i received a call stating the part was in and that a technician was available to install it. i then met with Justin approximately an hour later who installed the part and had my A/C up and running again. Overall i was pleased with the workers and the ability to get my air fixed quickly. My one and only downfall I had with this experience was the pricing. Total cost was over $600 to replace the motor which was still under warranty. So basically it cost me the $600 for about half and hours worth of work if even that. Not sure if this is an overall average price for this type of work, but lesson learned to at least get a second opinion next time. Overall the rest of my experience with this company was great.
