Serviced unit / technician had me climb up to show me where to unplug the line to clean regularly so drip pan won't overflow and shut off AC unit.

I ordered this Big Deal to go along with an Air Duct cleaning Big Deal I got on the recommendation of the person at Bay Area Heating and Cooling. When they came to fix my current system I was told I probably need a new one so this Big Deal is useless if I get a brand new system.

Service tech was punctual and did all work requested for the A/C checkup.

He arrived on time and diagnosed the problem immmediately. He replaced the capitatorand suggested i have a vavle installedto make monthly care easier. i agreed and he added a vavle. He was fast, courteous and price was reasonable. i will definetly call them again if needed. I bot two. One for me and one for mom. I have yet not used second one.

I had a lot of problems with the central air previously. This call seemed to clear up the previous problems. The unit was running almost constantly on really hot days.

I'm very satisfied with this company. They do the regular maintenance of my air conditioner and always do excellent work. In this case, there was a misunderstanding of just what "sanitizing/cleaning" of the air ducts meant. I've already made an appointment with Ductz to provide an estimate of the work I need to have done.

Cleaned out all ducts and serviced air handler. Everything went fine and dandy. No issues at all.

Everything went as planned, no surprises, very happy with them and my new Trane unit, even the city inspector commented on the workmanship, you cant expect more than that.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was excellent. They worked very hard to meet my schedule. They were very thorough. The people walked me through what they were doing and why and how to prevent it in the future. They were extremely helpful and taught me a lot.

They quoted me on two units and I had them replace my broken unit. I love the company including the sales people but the installer was not as professional as I would have hoped. He put the slab down and it was not level. The installer put a damper on my experience with this company. I had some issues with the unit since the installation because it was making some noise. The same installer came out again and said the unit was fine and the unit is now running smoothly. They recommended the right product for this house. It takes the humidity out very effectively. Out of the three quotes I got for this AC unit they were one of the highest but it was the salesperson’s explanation that sold me on the unit. Despite the installer, I would still recommend their services to others but would probably not go with them myself due to the installer.

Bay Area service went fine. They were definitely more professional than Air Zone which came out last fall via our home warranty Co. They worked on the wrong air handler , disabling the only AC we had working downstairs. Them we waited over a week for them to come back to discover they had been the culprit of the downstairs AC going out & had a part for a unit that was working fine prior to their visit. They left my home without fixing the AC unit I had called about to begin Witt! What a fiasco! Bay Area was professional & I would trust them to work on my unit.

We purchased three of these deals at $49/deal, one for our rental house a/c unit and two for our primary home where we have two units. They showed up on time, seemed knowledgable and generally professional. We were not thrilled at the additional $430 (+/-) in expenses incurred over and above the $147 spent on the deals, which we were under the impression included more than just an inspection. Whenever an item requiring additional work was found, we were required to decide at that instant whether to perform the work or move on. It seemed like a pressure sales tactic. The deal was described as a routine inspection and tune-up, with "tune-up" implying that some work was included for the AL deal price that was paid. From our perspective, it seemed a bit misleading, as though the AL deal was just to get them to the house, and any work associated with the visit was additional. Nonetheless, they provide quality work and professional service, with the exception of the "you must do it now or never" approach to work they deemed necessary. For these reasons, we would hire them again, but not without considering other options. We are not convinced the deal provided on AL was a price differentiator.

The technician was on time for our scheduled appointment. He thoroughly examined my air handler and heat pump. He told me my heat pump capacitor was about to go bad and showed me why he thought that. I agreed and he fixed it. He also showed me what he had found inside the air handler - black mold. I was recovering from hip replacement surgery and the thought of breathing black mold while I was trying to heal was scarey. The technician cleaned up the black mold on what could be reached. The technician sat down with me and explained to me what they could do for my a/c system to rid the black mold. He explained that it would not be cheap - over $1000! Yikes! He called his office and they checked to see if I could be set up with a Wells Fargo credit account where I could pay within one year with no interest. They also scheduled an appointment for 3 or 6 months later (I forget which) to check to see if the ultra-violet system was killing the black mold. At the next appointment, they showed me that the mold was better. I felt better, believe me. Paying within one year with no interest was good for me, too.

They canceled our first appt and rescheduled. The guy came and really had to clean out our vents, he seemed to do a good job. It was a good price for the cleaning which we clearly needed.

They did a good job but had issues after they left very responsive came right back and circumvented a new problem so we were cool and up and running quickly

I was satisfied with their work and I would probably use them again next year. They had to reschedule me for another day, but they did come out and I had no problems.

I quite satisfied with the overall work, however the man was covered in dirt. Clothes, shoes and work bag. I realize the technicians can not be spotless. He does not need to at least attempt to clean up, some.

They were very good and very prompt. They were everything that I thought they would be but it was just a service call. They were also on time.

The service worked out fine. There was no additional work done. They were on time. They were nice and friendly, and they were clean. I thought it was a good price.

Very well, evidently other people in our tiny attic had detached some of the sealed ductwork and our air conditioned air was helping to cool the attic before coming into our home. Great guys.

I wasn’t real happy with the service. They did the service on my two air conditioners. They had to put a part for $133 for the air handler in the attic that blows the air through our home. About two weeks later it died and they went through a whole thing about how the motor went out and that it would need to be replaced. They then gave me a ridiculous price on the replacement. I am wondering why they even had me replace the part. I am now using someone else to do the replacement of the system because of the cost. Bay Area Heating and Cooling wanted $2000 more than comparable systems. Overall they were prompt and the guy was nice. I am just questioning the service provider and if this is a way to make money.

Had a great experience with Bay Area Heating & Cooling. Our air conditioner was 21 years old and finally gave up! The owner came out and gave us three different options on units and prices for our size condo. Installers were great guys! Very pleased!
