Very professional. It was extremely warm. Discovered that part of unit had been replaced by someone, and helped sort through a solution. because of that issue, did not use for replacement, but would definitely recommend the firm for others.

On the initial service provided my this Business I purchased a "Seasonal AC Tune up" through Angie's List. I have had this Air Conditioner Serviced every year since it's purchase and decided to try this company, through Angie's List primarily for cost savings and the good ratings provided. On May 1st I met the Service Technician at the house and he did his check. I ended up paying more because he needed to replace the Capacitor. September 5th my Tenant called and said the Unit had "frozen up". I called Bay Area Heating and Cooling. My problem is that the only way you lose AC refrigerant is if there is a leak. For me to lose 2 pounds in 4 months I think the "leak" was there and should have been found on May 1st. I spoke to the owner who basically said there was no way to "see" this problem and that I was only covered for 30 days after my service. Would anyone pay $50+ for a 30 day Tune up on their AC? I sure wouldn't

Prompt response to late Saturday evening call for emergency service. Vince arrived and was polite and professional, and repaired the problem. Total length of call was less then an hour! We are very pleased and will call them again if the need arises.

The owner who I only talked to over the phone seemed nice enough and gave me a discount on the 2nd time they had to come out. But that didn't make me feel very confident in their knowledge. I would've liked the first visit to be more professional. The tech should've told me the correct part the first time instead of using something else, having it break and having to deal with another appointment and another tech (who wasn't very nice or professional) and subsequently having to haggle over the phone.

Two gentlemen showed up on time and know exactly what the problem was within 5 minutes. They gave me an immediate estimate and completed the job within 2 hours!

Our technician was very thorough and explained everything he was doing. He cleaned the drain line, gave us advice on keeping the line clean, reset our thermostat to best keep costs down.

The current AC unit is 11 years old and seems to be underpowered. It is a 3.5 ton and he felt I needed a 4 ton. The lines also seemed to be clogged as well as too small for the unit according to him. They responded quickly to my call for an estimate and diagnosis. He gave me estimates for a new Heat Pump which is needed. My electric bills are very high...>$400 a month so I will be looking into this.

Had to call several times before a technician called back. Scheduled service for the afternoon. 30 minutes prior to scheduled arrival, technician called and said he would not be able to come.

It went well. I thought it was very helpful that they called me to remind me it was time for a tune up. They are professional & punctual.

Our system is working great, they did a good job.

I called for service whwn my air stopped blowing cold. The rep arrived as scheduled and quickly found the damaged part and replaced it. He also gave me some advice regarding future service. Prompt, professional and friendly. I was very happy with the service.

A panel to the heat pump was dented. They made arrangements for replacement before we even noticed. Could not have asked for better workers. They took care to explain the thermostat and answer questions, although the hour was late and they had to be exhausted from working in the heat. The company did the paperwork for our energy rebate of $350. We also received a $200 Angie's List discount.

They did the tune up on the AC unit. The service worked out very well and they did a good job. I had no problems with them at all.

Went great and they were there at the beginning of the time window. Only thing I would like better is to have smaller window of when they would arrive as I work and have to meet the technician at home. I also bought a leaf cover for my AC unit which was extra but given all the leaves I get in my yard it made sense for that add on.

I have had my A/C serviced every year like clockwork. I found it strange that all of a sudden, I needed $250 worth of work but I have no way of knowing whether or not I was getting ripped off. I didn't feel right but I know nothing about heating and air conditioning so I was at their mercy. I was trying to save money by using an Angie's List "Deal". I guess time will tell.

Water was gushing onto my garage floor yesterday (Sunday) from my a/c air handler so I called to see if anyone on Angie's List had emergency service. Bay Area did. The repairman came about an hour later and cleared the drain line. He also told me to pour bleach into the air handler drain pipe periodically to keep it clear of algae. Because the service was done on the weekend, higher rates applied, so I could not purchase the service coupon the company offered (bummer). I was charged $95 for the visit and $176.79 for clearing the drain line. These costs were indicated prior to the work so I knew what I was getting into. I have no idea if these costs are reasonable. From start to finish the tech was here maybe 15 minutes. Well, I'll be sure to pour that bleach in there from now on! Algae are a problem in Florida, so home owners are advised to keep drain lines clear and save money and aggravation. Luckily, my air handler sits on the garage floor and not in the attic!

The service went fine. They were very responsive and easy to schedule. They did exactly what the deal stated and also installed a new relay switch. I was very happy with their service. One technician came out for the job and did not try to do work that was not needed. He was happy to explain the issue to me. The relay switch he had in his van was not made for my unit, but he made it work and saved me money.

It didn’t turn out great. I felt that the tech was more of a salesman, trying to sell us a more expensive duct system. I didn’t feel like he wasn’t that knowledgeable. The tech was nice, but it feels like the company is more focused on selling.

It was fine. They came out very quickly. While I felt the prices were high, I felt like the work they did was good. I have since replaced the unit with a different company.

Quick, simple service -- on time and pleasant.

They were prompt and arrived as scheduled, the service was completed as promised, and everything back in place when they were finished.

Dave Myers arrived on time and first started checking the air handler unit in the apartment before going up to the roof to check the unit. He determined there were "no issues at this time" and recommended we perform a tune up in 4 to 6 weeks to check the system. Dave was very helpful in recommending the next steps we need to accomplish prior to replacing the a/c unit and air handler. He was very thorough in checking the units. We were very happy with his professionalism and courteousness. That being said, we will definitely stay with Bay Area Heating & Cooling to perform the tune up. Dave also provided an approximate cost to replace the units, but will discuss further upon completion of the tune up. Thank you, Dave, and thank you Bay Area Heating & Cooling!

They arrived during the time they said would. Completed the service with in a hour .

It went well. The technician was very knowledgeable and explained all the issues.

I called because my air conditioner is only blowing cool air and not enough to keep the house cool. I called this company based on reviews here and also I had seen the coupon here . The appointment was made for the next day , which was good . The tech called a little early and said he was on his way , again good. He went outside and comes back in and says the unit is low on freon. That would have been my guess too. Then he says he can fill it at $98 per pound. I told him it was filled 2-3 weeks previous so there must be a leak so why would I fill it , just to have it leak out again. So he says ' Well I can fill it now so you get cool air now and we can apply that amount to a new unit I asked if they routinely replace every unit with a leak and he said 'well it is 14 years old' I also mentioned the other firm charged $50 a pound -- he just looked at me , I doubt the other firm was losing money on Freon, this company is just gouging us. Plus, I have never met an AC tech that doesn't know the price of Freon, they fill systems all the time, so his making a big deal of looking at his price book was really just a show I told him to leave What a waste
