The office staff at this time of interface was LESS than professional. The office staff called with a business solicitation. She tried to have a conversation with me on the phone and participate with the office small talk at the same time. I hung up. She called me back and tried to engage me again; I told her have I had hung up. She did not apologize, but rather tried to defend her behavior. I disengaged. A simple apology would have been appropriate. Again, I have done business with this firm before. Office support staff is the weak link.

The Bay Area Heating and Cooling HVAC representative arrived on time, was so professional, explained everything in detail and what to expect in the future. His professionalism was impeccable!

Work was diagnostic - to determine why H/AC system installed by Harrell Home Services did not provide heat. They found that heat unit was inadequate. Harrell did not install the correct heating part t! Unit cost almost $7,000. Having their diagnosis in hand, I was able to prove what needed to be done to correct the probem. I will contact Bay Area for any future service, for sure. Sorry I didn't call them in the 1st place to install new entire unit

System restored to normal operation. No more issues in the past 6 months. Staff had a tech at my house within an hour of calling to set up the service call. Tech was friendly, professional, and did quality work. The booster might have been an unnecessary "up-sell", but with no A/C in FL in August I wasn't really in a position to haggle.

It didn't go well at all. When they came to our house they tried to fix something and after that the same thing broke again so they weren't really good. I did not take them for another job; I got someone else.

Everything went smoothly from the evaluating/estimating thru the installation and cleanup to the bulding inspection. I wanted a reverse cycle heat pump; one contractor told me the wiring between our condo apartment and the roof where the compressor unit is was insufficient, but Shaun from Bay Area did a more thorough job of evaluating the wiring and we had enough. It's a Trane system and it's working great.

I liked them, and I used them last year. I bought a coupon and used them for winter and will use them for the summer. They are personable, when I call them, they answer the phone, and they answer my questions. She is very helpful, and they change my filters. They have been pretty honest with me.

This was completed back in February. Since day one of installation, humidity levels were very high "Between 50% to 70%”. They have sent out 3 different techs to make adjustments. The unit is Amana unit. They told me, they would have to contact them to see what the issue was and how to adjust it. They informed me that they would have to send out the Amana Goodman tech to make the adjustments but that tech has never contacted to get the service scheduled. Bay Area was supposed to contact Amana Goodman for me but I haven’t heard from them either. Last contact was with Chris Gourdien ,one of the managers, was on December the 5th about this situation. He informed me that he would reach out to Amana Goodman and would follow up with me on Monday but now it is Friday and I still haven’t heard from him.

They discussed several options with me and installed a new unit the next day. Installation was very professional, including a thorough cleanup. Everyone we dealt with was very polite and professional.

Bay Area stood 100% behind their work! In 2010 they provided a new heating and air conditioning system for our home. It was the perfect size and made our lives wonderfully comfortable. Recently, I had to take something down from the top of a bookcase over which was a vent directly coming from the plenum. I was horrified to discover the object was completely covered with mold. I call Bay Area and they came out to inspect and give us an estimate of the needed work. I was rather upset because this was a health issue. After they carefully inspected their own photographs, they admitted the plenum they had installed in 2010 had not been insulated properly allowing humidity to enter the system and cause mold to grow. For various important reasons, they did the entire job at their cost, an incredibly honest move on their part and one that relieved a retired couple from having to take out a loan for $1600! We have been their customers for nearly ten years and I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere. Their workmanship is always excellent, they are on time, they have been incredibly helpful in getting financing for us, and they fulfill our service contracts with regularity. Everyone is always pleasant, careful and caring. They deserve every A they have been awarded.

They were nice, but it took us three times to pass inspection. I wasn't happy about that. It wasn't the work that was the problem. They failed to pull electrical permit and then they failed to take pick up a certain box so the inspector knows exactly what type of unit was installed so that he can make sure that everything was correct for that unit size. They did good work, but they were flabby with like the details so that a cost of time to have inspectors come out take some time.

My 50s era house had thru-the-wall air conditioning units and baseboard heat that were inefficient and unmanageable. They needed to be replaced. I contacted three top rated Angie's List companies for estimates. One came to look and never followed through with an estimate. One emailed me a selection of equipment to choose with no direction of what the house needed. Shaun provided a clear selection of three plans of differing efficiency for heat pump systems (all were Trane because I'd specified that was the manufacturer I preferred), and the specifications and price for each. He explained the strengths and weaknesses of each level of package and I chose one. The next week his four-man crew was here at the house to begin the install. They put in the duct work, ceiling vents, outside heat pump and in-attic air handler, and thermostat in four days. The crew was wonderful and worked so well together. They cleaned up each day and did a final cleanup at the end of the job when one of them walked me through managing the system. Shaun even initiated the application for an energy star credit from Duke which the company granted. I'm completely satisfied and recommend Bay Area without reservation.

I first contacted Bay Area Heating & Cooling to service my mother's a/c unit which was not cooling. The team came out in July 2014 and did an excellent job replacing the a/c units. Arrived on time, very professional, conscious of other tenants in the community (not blocking parking area for other tenants). After I saw how happy my mother was with the services provided, I hired them to do a tune up on my units. Again, the gentleman arrived way ahead of schedule (wonderful!) and explained what he was doing as he performed the tune up. He was very informative and knowledgeable in his field. I will hire this company and/or recommend them to every one I know. And Tina is the one to call! Thank you for a job well done!

They came out and did annual maintenance and it went well.

So far, I am happy with them. It had been a year since they installed the system. They did not charge me anything for the annual service because they installed the unit and I get one free service. They have an outstanding service. They were on top of it the whole time. Their pricing was very good for the installation, but for the service, I have to go to somebody else. They were the least expensive that I could find for the installation and they were so professional. For the service, they are like three times more. The quality of the service was just fine, but they did not even change my filter. Unfortunately, I am not going to use them because of their pricing for the service.

DISCLOSURE: We didn't hire Bay Area Heating and Cooling (a competing offer was too good to pass up) That said, our experience with them was excellent. Bay Area called within 24 hours of my initial email to schedule an appointment for a load calculation and potential HVAC replacement. They came out and were able to quickly get a load calculation and provide a proposal with multiple options. Based on their proposal and our conversations, Bay Area is extremely competitive and we'd be happy to work with them in the future.

They contacted me and said that they do not service my area.

This company ended up surpassing our expectations. After a misunderstanding between me and the technician the owner was involved right away, corrected the situation and left us with a perfectly working system. The technician took the time to show us how to maintenance and clean ourselves. We were so extremely happy with the company and technician that helped us.
