That went okay. It wasn't sensational but it was okay, it was acceptable. They were here about October 30th 2015. I wouldn't use them again. It wasn't a spectacular service call but you have an Angie's fee on top of it and it was more expensive. I didn't pay any more because the price was too high.

Technician arrived promptly at the designated time and was thorough in his investigation of the problem.

Greg showed up on time and was very pleasant. He checked and cleaned the entire HVAC system and presented me with a list of recommendations ranging from $50 to $1200. We did choose the $50 service, which included charging the system with additional R-410a freon. Total cost was approximately $100.

Jerry was extremely low-key and professional. Called first, arrived on time. Patiently ran through several tests re my concerns on loud compressor shutdown. Suggested a part that will extend life of unit, but no high-pressure sales tactics.

The service person who came introduced me to my (new to me) system, checked it and the compressor on the roof. When he wrapped up he mentioned a couple of proactive options that would improve the performance of the system and save on wear and tear. I appreciated the information. I asked how imperative the suggestions were. He explained his written suggestions and never pushed me to do the service. I greatly appreciated his honesty and will call them when I am ready to have the work done.

We had to ask him to clean the A/C unit, which is part of maintenance.

It didn't turn out well. We were looking to get into a new A/C system but they are overpriced and I don't want to call them back. They called back to check up on me and ask if I'm still interested. I said I found a better priced guy and they said they gave me their best price and asked what the other guy gave. All of a sudden they were able to match it. I said if they gave me that price back then, then I would have gone with them. They were asking me what the other guy gave me and now all of a sudden they could match it magically. I could hear him pulling drawers and his swivel chair squeaking around like he was doing something. They said they can match that price. It was too late. They came out and did the service, and as far as the new system, they were way overboard in their pricing. I had told to each person I called and they are the only ones from Angie's List that I went with but then I went to others, and they were the only ones who came in over everyone else then switched price at the last minute. The gentleman that came out and did the A/C inspection is a great guy. I've got nothing against him. He did his job and he did it well, but the people in the office were just kind of slimy. I know I've got another inspection through them but we're looking to sell the house. We're going to be putting it up in the market so I doubt I'm going to be using them for it so I guess I lose out on that money. They should have come already for the second one to at least cut space with me, and they haven't even done that so there's strike 2 against them. The guy that came out was straight up. He told me what it was and that we needed a new system. He told me to contact their main office and they will give me a quote. I did and I set out and did 3 others. They were the highest. They should be competitive with their pricing on new installations on the onset. What they did was they threw it to where I live and stuff like that without really understanding my situation throughout the high price and we'll take it, if not they would bounce it around. They should give a true price upfront. They shouldn't jerk people around. I didn't get my second inspection from them. Nobody contacted me back and I forgot all about it by now so they got a freebie out of me. They put me off twice. We set up a date and they skipped and they said that wasn't the date, but I already marked it on my calendar. They kind of lied about that. They pulled the plug on me at the end.

Phil arrived as scheduled. He checked out the air handler, showed me where the filter should be installed, and blew out the drain pipe. The drain pipe was clogged and he spent a lot of time looking for the drain pipe exit point outside the house. I helped him and we never did find where the drain exited. I told him not to spend any more time on this, as the system checkout did not require him to do so. Phil then examined the condenser, took the pressure readings, and checked out the evaporator. He gave me a full report on the system.

The inspection went very well. All voltages for each component were checked as well as refrigerant. Recommendations were provided.

See above. Plus, during the original call I asked the girl who scheduled my appt. to advise me what coupons were available since I was an Angie's List client and she walked me through the process which saved me about $50.00 on this work. Wonderful service.

The install technicians were here 12 hours changing out my existing Compressor and Air Handler. There were many previous issues they worked tirelessly on to include inside attic work the results of which I am very pleased with. Sean had identified some air flow issues when performing the initial estimate and Dave was by today to make some final modifications and spent the time necessary ensuring the system was running correctly. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

It went well. The price was noticeably higher than a competitor.

It didn't go that well. The guy came out and said we needed a $4000 re-piping. All the distribution pipes had to be redone. Then we had somebody else come out and say that's not necessary, nobody really does that. They did give us an alternative for $2000. It was like a scam. I don't believe what he told us. It wasn't that he wasn't pleasant. He was real pleasant. The price was okay if he gave us good information. My husband called him to find out exactly what was going on. He told him what he told me. So, he was responsive. I would tell a friend not to use them. They could have been honest.

They did exactly what was expected. But by 4 pm on the scheduled day , no one has contacted me or appeared. I called, learned the tech was running late, but that he would be there. And he appeared and performed the service. I've worked with BA H&C on multiple occasions, and they always do what they say they're going to do!

Provider was professional and on time. Called provider to get estimate on cleaning up electrical panel based on home inspection report to purchase our home. The provider clearly stated that the panel must be replaced or refurbished as it was a safety hazard in it present condition. (corrosion to wires, and burning circuit breaker). We chose to refurbished the panel. Work was done quickly and efficiently to minimize the amount of time the house was to be without power. The technicians were professional, polite and friendly. I would use this company again and would recommend them.

We had them come out and take a look at our AC system. There was a cap that wasn't covered and was loose. The company did the diagnosis to see what was wrong and we were told that everything was good. Two weeks later the AC went out and I ended up calling another company to take a look. I was told that there were loose wires on the AC and now feel that Bay Area Heating and Cooling didn't do a thorough job with their diagnostic service call.

Simple AC maintenance. Technician was on time and professional. Job well done.

Called ahead to say he was coming, arrived on time, did a system maintainence check up on A/C Heating unit, made sure A/C was draining properly outside a minor fix, repaired loose taping on system, gave advice on how to improve, answered all my questions, no hard sales pressure, very nice technician, used their coupon on Angie's List without any problems,will use again

Technician called before arrival; was on time in accordance with predetermined timeframe. Technician was cordial and extremely knowledgeable; did a great job; provided instructions regarding how I can avoid a similar problem in the future. I intend to use Bay Area Heating and Cooling in the future when needed.

The diagnostics tests were very satisfactorily performed by a courteous and pleasant professional.
