Description of Work: I called for tune up service. When they went through their questions and I advised unit not cooling, they had indicated that this would be more of a diagnostic call versus a tune service and advised on the difference and what was covered. They also provided discount for being an Angies List member. We agreed to wait until the service was performed as to determine whether to request refund or utilize for future use. We've opted on the refund since we've paid for diagnostic service which basically covered what would have been covered on tune up service.

Description of Work: Vicki is a lifesaver. My A/C wasn't running and house was heating up fast. I called to have a service person come out. My thermostat was off and wouldn't go on. Fan was running properly. Vicki gave me a most excellent suggestion and I followed her directions. Success! This saved me at least over $100 for someone to come out here. Wonderful caring company. Wouldn't hesitate to use for any A/C or heating needs I may have in the future.

Description of Work: Bay Area Heating and Cooling came out to perform the seasonal tune up, but quickly determined that our system was past it's usable service life. Instead of performing the service, they gave us a quote for a new system. They suggested that I try to get a refund for the big deal.

Had them come out when my air wasn't running properly and was told I had a leak in the coil and needed either a very expensive repair or a whole new system. He never did a leak test. Got a second opinion from another company. Turned out the caps in the air handler were loose. There was never a leak in the coil. So the average of A and F = C

Description of Work: Made an appointment to have spring tune up for both my hvac systems. A few days before they were they cancelled appt. they were too busy. I had waited weeks for this appointment. I got another company to do the work

Description of Work: Professional and well informed workers. Took their time to explain everything they did. They cleaned the AC handler and added freon and checked out the operation. All was good. That's all, the work was completed and they left.

Description of Work: When I called to make the appointment for an A/C tuneup, the rather unprofessional-sounding man I spoke to said that there were no appointments available right then. He didn't seem to know anything about the Angie's List deal I had purchased and essentially blew me off. So I paid $49 for a telephone call. Needless to say, I won't buy any more Angie's "deals." Judging by the phone contact I had, I would never call this company again either.
