Repaired broken spring. Jim was very knowledgable and helpful. The garage door had always been excessively noisy when opening and closing. He did a great job in reducing the noise and it is much quieter now. Would definitely use him again if I had any problems and would highly recommend him.

Jim is a friendly, "old school" fixer with a can-do attitude. My garage door is very old, they don't make parts for it any more. So when a wheel fell off, he didn't have the exact part. No matter, he worked with what he had. He drilled a larger hole to accommodate the thicker shaft that was attached to the new wheel and my garage door was as good as new. Price: $65. His ingenuity saved me from buying a new garage door!

The service was great since the phone call as he said he would come the same afternoon and we agree on the estimate. He arrived on time and worked with professionalism and expertise. Even though that the coupon was not applicable because was for service but not for repair (our misunderstanding); he gave us a 10% for his work.

As my fiirst experience with Angie's List, I am VERY pleased. The experience was excellent. Very professional, yet always listened to my concerns, with attention to what I wanted, providing sincere advice and solutions. His repairs were completed promptly and are high quality, with complete respect for my desire to keep the panel doors. A nice surprize was the willingness to bend his timing to include MY schedule. In addition to repairs to the garage door itself, the opener needed to be replaced and I am very happy with the replacement. It is a MUCH better system, both in function and quality. Another nice surprize, even including installation the new opener was less expensive than the unit we installed when first moving in 13 yrs ago. The quality of work is excellent and I am very happy with both Advanced Garage Doors and Angie's List.

They answered the phone promptly, and they came right now and assessed the job and determined that I needed a new garage door, which is what I expected. They did a good job and I was very pleased.

Replaced spring with one he had in stock on the truck - took less than an hour and I have not had a problem since.

I heard a loud bang come from the garage. Upon inspection, one of the springs and it's holding bracket had broken. My truck was stuck inside the garage! I called Jim and he was there within the hour. He put in a temporary bracket and together we lifted the door and got my truck out. We then discussed options. The existing door, springs and track were very old. Since I had some previous problems with the springs and track, I decided to go ahead and replace the entire door, tracks and springs. Jim said he could be out with a new door on Tuesday morning. (this was Friday afternoon) That seemed fine with me. I got a call shortly after we talked and Jim asked if he couid do the replacement on Monday instead of Tuesday. Even better. Although the installer was a little late Monday morning, the removal of the old door, tracks and springs went quickly. Jim also stopped by during the installation to make sure there were no problems. The jobsite was cleaned up and the door and trim were cleaned to remove any marks made during installation. The new equipment looks and works great!

Our garage door was stuck down and our car wasn't inside. We called around for different door openers and very few ever called back. One did call back and they couldn't get us in until Monday. On Saturday a man from Advanced Garage Doors pulled up here and apologized for not answering his phone and didn't know why he didn't get the message on time. We had a broken spring and by then my sons had already taken apart the mechanics and all the guy had to do was put the spring on and it was good to go. He said he could put a clamp on it and I said I didn't know about that. I only wanted a spring because we knew were going to paint the house. Another company came on Monday that we had already scheduled and acted like he didn't want to do the job, but he did put the spring on. We weren't happy with the job, the door didn't close all the way to the bottom when it did close and we didn't like the attitude. We called Advanced Garage Doors back to come when we were ready for a new garage door. We called and set up the day, they came and installed the new door. We have a button for the inside and two buttons for our car. I would use him again and next time I would let him use a clamp, it would have worked and I never thought about it. We were very happy with it and very happy with the work.

A spring broke in the garage door on a Friday,we called different door repairs, all were busy and one did a greed to come on Monday. As the cars where not in the garage it was not an emergency. On Saturday one of the other ones stopped by to apologize for not answering the call Friday. We explained what we want and he said he could put a clamp on for $20. to get us by till we decided what kind of door we wanted. As my sons and I have replaced many spring in the pass we were a little speckle of this. And as we already had some one come Monday we decline his.offer. The other door repair guy came Monday. By then my sons had the old sping off and ready to put the new one on,as they wanted to do. We let the man put the new sping on but were not happy with it or him. when we decided what door and color we wanted we called Jim at ADVANCED GARAGE DOORS asked him if he could get this door and he answered yes and order the door. When it cane in he called we agreed on the day. He and his helper came as stated put the door on that day with all the things we wanted. We couldn't by happier with the door or the service. If there is any problem with door we would definitely call Jim.

He came out and gave us all of our options. He didn't pressure us at all. He explained the difference between a regular garage door and a door that is protected in up to 130mph winds. We purchased the door and they installed it. The difference in quality is obvious. It is a very strong door and we are very happy with our choice. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

This business is owner operated so he is very busy. Jim was late for our first meeting but ended up matching another competitor's bid so I awarded him the job. He was punctual in the following meetings and did a very professional job. He even helped me install a mailbox on my wall to replace the one in the old garage door.

Jim showed up that same day, on time, gave us and estimate. He didn't have the parts on hand; came back at the about the time he promissed and replaced the garage door spring. He was very personable and did a thorough job. The garage door opens a lot smoother now. He provided a lot of info and did some extra tweaking on the door itself (which was not included in the original price). Overall, a great experience. I would hire him again and recommend him.

EXCELLENT! My old door was 25 years old, and the opener no longer worked, and the spring was broken. Jim came in and replace the door to hurricane standards. He was prompt, professional, and neat. All was done in an afternoon!

He came out promptly and saved us a ton of money. Another company wanted $700. to do the repair and all we needed was a $90. adjustment. Very honest and reliable. I would not use anyone else Jim was honest and trustworthy and does great work. We are very pleased.

Excellent quality of work. Jim (owner) was very professional, meticulous with his work, took his time and did the job right. He took care of all aspects of installing a new garage door, removal of the old one, clean up and very good instruction on new door and opener operations.

TRUST ME ON THIS ONE! This company is awesome. A really rare person who owns and operates his company and treats customers the way he would want to be treated. I had two other companies out before Jim Parker came and repaired a door that one company said had to be totally replaced. Another company that I got from Angie's list with a good rep wanted 500 dollars to replace the whole motor box and tension springs. Jim definitely knows what he is doing and will not rip you off! A super nice person that you don't mind having in your home! Actually, he straighten the door and it was not even included in the estimate or charge. On a very hot day.

The whole process went smoothly from start to finish. Jim Parker, the owner of the business, was prompt in providing an estimate and completing the work. I was especially impressed with Jim's willingness to take on a particularly difficult installation; our garage is small with low ceilings so it took some ingenuity to make the new door and opener fit the space.

Jim did a great job. He was pleasant, professional, and very knowledgeable. He had the problem diagnosed and fixed quickly. I would definitely recommend his company for any garage door need.

The spring on my old wooden door was broken and the door in bad shape. The door was inoperable. On a Monday morning, I called Jim Parker of Advanced Garage Doors who came to measure and gave me the estimate the same day. The door was delivered and everything installed in 2 days. I was able to park my cars in the garage by Wednesday night. What a great company to do business with! I highly recommend them.

Woo hoo! Jim showed up promptly as arranged to give us an estimate, left some brochures and a detailed estimate and called to follow up. Once we agreed to the work and selected our garage doors, the work crew was prompt, orderly, organized, thoughtful, courteous, brave, clean and reverent. We are thrilled with this experience and would recommend them to everyone.

Called in the morning and Jim showed up a couple of hours later. He completed the work in just over an hour. He was very professional and efficient. I would use him again.
