BUYER BEWARE! DECEPTIVE PRACTICES AHEAD! I scheduled a repair on 9/16/22 to be completed the following week for $957.65. This was the amount for 2 hours of labor ONLY as the small replacement part was covered under warranty. I realized this seemed unreasonable and requested to cancel the day before the work was to be done. They said there was a 25% restocking fee for their labor and they would be keeping $239.41 for restocking "labor". Although I'm no stranger to restocking "fees", they are always a fixed dollar amount vs a percentage (what if my canceled service was $20,000? Would I be on the hook for $5,000? Adirondack thinks so). I even offered to pay 25% of their cost for the part to no avail. After making my case clearly, the phone conversation became heated leading Adam? to hang up on me, but not before he threatened to give me $0 on my requested return. None of my additional phone calls were returned. This is a significantly unethical practice, at best. At worst, it's deceptive to a criminal level. I will never be doing business with them again. Let me see if I can paint this picture for everybody to understand how much I appreciate this company here. I am about Day five into having Covid, In addition to this I’m going through menopause and feel like my skin is literally on fire! I’m was in h***! I have two boys running a muck, meanwhile I’m stuck in My bedroom that also felt like a steam room! I must’ve called 20 companies however after I told them my situation every single one of those companies told me they couldn’t fit me in an appointment until The following week. Smh Adirondack‘s Was the ONLY company who had somebody come out immediately. Within 30 minutes Mr. Jack Lopresto came swooping in cape in all lol Well he didn’t I actually have a cape on but He may has well Of had one on because he was my AC superhero! He called me when he pulled up, within 10 minutes he Assessed the problem, and within the hour I had cold air blowing back in My Home!!! I know I thanked you, but I don’t know if you will ever understand the level of my gratitude you literally saved my life! Thank you so much Adirondack and Jack Lopresto for providing the best customer service ever!!!

I noticed my air conditioning wasn't working just before 7pm on a Wednesday evening. I called Adirondack right away as I've used them before and have always been very pleased with the response and service that they have routinely provided. Jack, the technician, called back in less than 10 minutes and arrived at my house just 30 minutes later. Jack immediately diagnosed the problem and my system was running again in just under an hour. Not only was Jack very responsive, but he was also very efficient and professional. Thank you once again Adirondack - and thank you again to Jack!

I notified Hansens Appliances located on Seminole Blvd. Rep Jack, from Adirondack Services replaced it, installed it & was very professional. Thank you Hansens & Adirondack Svcs. Pat Pantle Largo, FL

It was unsatisfactory and they changed the refund price on me.

I arrived at the residence around 10pm and it was about 80 degrees inside. I called Adirondack Services and we had a technician here by 10:30 pm. They were totally professional.

Great and professional service. Installers took their time making sure everything was running great after installation. Vicky, the office manager, was there for me through every step. After installation, we had a problem with a wire which caused my electric bill to double. Once the problem was detected, they were here right away, repaired at no additional cost and ever reimbursed me for my electric bill.

We would use them again in the future.

While talking with them the contractor tried to justify the $509 service charge by saying if they would have replaced part under warranty, 45 minutes service call would have turned in to 3 hour job. This "Jabroni" contractor was telling me that he will charge me for the time to complete warranty paperwork and then he would have to charge me for the time to order a warrantied part. I have never any dealer tell me that, That's why they are the dealer for this product. Yes I have agreed over the phone for $180 charge for afterhours call. But everything after that is totally ridiculous. Basically they lied to me on the phone by first telling me that $20 dollar capacitor cost some astronomic amount because they took it off their truck stock. What? This is why you do service calls and keep items like that on the truck. And aren't you a dealer for this product? Then this Contractor tried to justify his charge by telling me that he has done me a favor by not doing the job under warranty because this $20 capacitor would have turned in to 3 hour labor charge I have stated above. What? Unbelievable deceive and lies. We as a family have purchased (2) new complete installs from this contractor and this how we get treated? like little kids? know nothing about pricing and like other A/C contractors don't exist? News Flash "Jabroni" There are more A/C contractors in this area then houses. It is true internet does exist. By the way this contractor when asked to give you a quote for complete install do not tell you that He do not include any permitting fees or even planning on pulling any permits. That's how they compete. After system installed you come to find out they never pulled a permit and you stuck with what you got. Stay away from them, hire a contractor who would actually does proper permitting. Or good luck selling your house after wards. It wouldn't be that bad if they would actually install the system without permit but still do it properly. No, no luck there they have never installed proper disconnecting means as required by code, I had to call them back and tell them. "Jabroni" comeback and do it right. Chances are if you don't know code they will run one over on you. FYI "Jabroni" - Loser Beyond Repair, Loser who thinks he's something or just Loser.

.It was a saturday and I had water all around my air handler in the garage. I called them and a tech was here for service within an hour. He checked the air handler and it was fine...the crux of the problem was the hot water tank that was over to the side of the air handler, it seemed to be leaking and led to the belief it was the air handler! The tech checked out the hot water tank and YES, it was very bad and rusted out, leaking water. He quickly made contacts and within the first phone call to Adirondack and a few short hours I had a new hot water tank exactly like the one my husband and I wanted.My husband was not able to be home that saturday and spoke with the tech on the phone and it was installed exactly as he wanted, elevated off the garage floor, in case of water - living in Florida we have a chance of lots of rain sometimes - Don't want to ruin a new hot water tank! Everything was a success. The tech was very knowledgeable and polite. He also cleaned up all the mess in the garage! Remember I said it was SATURDAY.....Talk about service! You can't beat that for good service. Any place else I would have waited until monday for service and for a new hot water tank, maybe even another day for the tank! We had them out 3/28/16 for a real problem with the air handler. It was repaired quickly and my husband was very pleased with the work done by the tech. It's working great. We are taking a contract with this company. Good People~!

Had an issue with noise level that Adirondack confirmed will be correcting.

Adirondack Services discussed repair vs replacement. Once we decided to replaced based on the unit's ages, they gave us several options in replacement units. We had several to choose from. They also offer the Air Oasis UV system.

The company did everything that was asked of them. They were great! We had issues with the county inspection - such as moving the unit. The company did everything that the county inspectors asked & even went above & beyond that. They upgraded things that the county inspector didn't even recommend. Our electric bill after the first month of use went down about 50%. The unit is a little large, but it works fabulous. We've been using this SP since 1998. They are the only AC SP we've ever used. They are wonderful!! Thank to you Adam, Eric, Dustin, Vicki, & the rest of the crew - you guys rock!

Andrew came out the following day with the parts, on time and worked on the A/C until it was repaired. We were very happy with the service and the attention to detail he provided. We would recommend them for any related service, and will use them again should the need arise.

Technician arrived when expected and was friendly. He knew what he was doing as well. Work was completed properly and efficiently. I had a question regarding the pricing and the company answered the question and took care of things properly.

They were fine. They did a good job and they were very responsive. They came out right away. The price was not out of line.

Adam was very professional, took his time to explain everything thoroughly. His estimate was competitive. I can recommend Adirondack.

I called the owner of Adirondack, Adam Hanson and told him about what I saw as an overcharge and sent a bid from another well established A/C contractor for a much lesser amount to do the same work at overtime.. He told me he would look into it and called me back in a few days. He told me that that was the correct charge for that 40 and 5vf capacitor. He told me that is what he charges and he would not refund any money to my father. I sent him a e-mail about the overcharge and he wrote back telling me how they broke their backs to fix my dad's a/c and that there is always some a-- h--- who complaines no matter what. I never answered his last e-mail. His adittude and name calling has bothered me since then.I would not reccomend Adirondack or Adam Hanson for any work of any type.

We first called Adirondack Services to perform a spring preventative maintenance and 14 point inspection of our AC unit. Kenneth came out on 5/24 and did a complete cleaning of the outside and inside units. He found on the outside unit a burnt common wire on the condensor capacitor, build up on the coil and on the air handler blower. He replaced and cleaned all parts that were having issues. Then on Sunday July 24th we came home and found that the inside thermostat was bouncing 3 to 5 degrees and the whole house was "warm" and the AC didn't seem to be cooling properly. So, we called Adirondack Services to come have a look in this weekend "emergency" issue. Again, Kenneth was our technician. We called on Sunday and he came out within 3 hours. He inpsected the thermostat and determined it to be faulty. He also inspected the unit again and determined everything was working properly. So, Kenneth replaced our thermostat. We were able to use our home warrenty plan for the replacement of the thermostat and only had to pay the $50 deductable - the home warrenty company covered the rest. Kenneth was GREAT to work with. He was patient in systematically inspecting the unit to determine that the issue was really only with the thermostat.

On Sunday, July 11, they were called for service on the unit because it didn't work. I got a call back and they told me it would $187 weekend charge. This has a full, one-year warranty. They told me the charge would be for the weekend service. Nowhere in the warranty does it mention this charge. My father, going through chemotherapy for cancer, has his house without A/C. They wouldn't come out without charging the fee. They didn't explain a $1500 government rebate that they mentioned. My parents have no taxable income, so they didn't get it. Had they explained this, we wouldn't have bought their product.

It seemed to be OK. I didn't have any problems with the price or service. We had a check up and it was OK. Last December it wasn't cooling. They added freon and charged me $300. They checked it for a leak and they told me there were no leaks. I asked for my money back on the freon since there was no leak. I think the guy who had checked it out the last time had maybe let the freon out. The owner told me this was a possibility, but wasn't going to reimburse me.

I was not happy with Adirondack Services. The air conditioning unit was too small for my home. The problem that I have with them was that they did not tell me that the unit was going to be too small to cool my home. I had the unit replaced when the regulations were being changed for air conditioning units. The first season that I owned the unit I worked during the hottest part of the day so I did not know if the unit was working properly. The following season I was home and I could tell that the home was not cool so the unit must not be working correctly. I called them in and just wanted to get another unit and prorate the old one. They would not do it. They did not want to take it back because they knew it was too small. They knew that they could not do anything with it but give it to a low income landlord. They were not workable and I did not think that it was too much to ask. I am not saying that they were unprofessional, but they were not helpful or accommodating. They were polite and professional while I worked with them. They came out for the installation when they were supposed too.
