I'm on day 11 with no working AC. In February 2024 I had ABC install a new air conditioner. Less than 1.5 years later the AC started blowing warm air. On May 21 I called and a technician came out but couldn't fix it. The following day they sent another one who discovered a leak in the refrigerant lines. Since then, I have been given no clear timetable on when this is will be fixed. Each day I get the same speech from the call center saying technicians will be sent out to fix the issue, but nothing ever happens. I have constantly asked for portable units in the meantime but received no reply. One of the technicians mentioned they are severely short staffed, must be an awful company to work for. It's in the mid 90s here in Florida and this is becoming a health issue. It is impossible to actually talk to someone from the company since they use a call center to dispatch technicians. I feel helpless after spending so much on this new AC only for it to not work, and the company does not seem to care at all. STAY AWAY.

This review pertains to ABC Air Conditioning based at a home on Georgianaa Street in Largo, not the similarly named ABC Plumbing, Air and Heat in Clearwater. I have had good luck with handyman-type operations in the past, but not this time. Brian K and a helper came out on 7.25.22 when my A/C was only cooling at about 20 percent capacity. Brian checked the freon, found that it was low, and added three pounds from a small tank. He observed some leaking oil, but made minimal attempt to look for a leak or analyze the system. Predictably, the A/C worked a little better for a few hours and reverted to its substandard state. The next day, Brian came back out and noted some freezing in the air handler coils. Again, he made no attempt to evaluate or repair the system. I was simply out $310 from his first visit, while needing to call another repairman and start over. The second repairman was able to find and seal the leak and refill the freon, including the amount Brian charged me for that leaked out. If you're reading this, you probably know that freon is really expensive. Brian spoke knowledgeably about A/C units, and I confirmed that he is licensed in Pinellas County However, I do not feel that he made a good faith effort to solve my problem, and it caused me to throw away $310. I cannot recommend him due to that experience.

It was very refreshing to not feel that I had to stand over his head because I felt comfortable safe and I knew that I had a very knowledgeable employee in my home. Thank u Tammer and ABC for the very fine job that you did and it was also nice that's the bill was very reasonable

It's a small business. They are responsive and come when you need them.

I have used them for 30 years.

They advertised to service the equipment for about $57 and by the time they left, they had billed me for over $3,000. It looked to me like every price they listed was about 5 times as much as it should be. They weren't discourteous and they were professional, but I felt as though it was a bait and switch operation. They also left me a pamphlet and I had lost it, so I requested another one and they never sent it.

He made us feel as though we were a priority, even though I'm sure he had other calls. Since we were without AC, and we have pets - he had a sense of urgency about the repair that we really appreciated.

I AM GOING TO USE ANOTHER COMPANY ON YOUR LIST AND WILL REPORT ON THEM WHEN THEY COME OUT.

HE CAME SATURDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE IVAN ON AN EMERGENCY CALL. SUPER, QUICK, CLEAN, REASONABLE AND NEAT.

THIS COMPANY IS VERY RESPONSIVE AND VERY REASONABLE.
