Description of Work: I called Jon the morning after my home had an attempted burglary. He came over IMMEDIATELY to repair the door, screen and lock for security. He was so concerned for my safety that he did additional work to make my home was safe and secure without any add'l charge. I cannot express how grateful I was to not only his excellent work but empathy and concern for my well being. He actually left the job he was on to help me !! Yes, this was an emergency but the alarm company did not have the same ethical behavior. They "could not schedule" me until the following day. I would refer Jon to any customer. His work is superior and he is just has excellent character.

 + 2 moreOur call was returned within the hour and an appointment was scheduled within the week. We have used this company several times in the past and they have always been outstanding. John and a helper, Scott, arrived bright and early on the scheduled day and quickly proceeded through our "To Do" list. We were replacing a family room ceiling fan with a larger 60" version with light fixture and John had no problem at all installing it. We are always amazed at how quickly and efficiently John works. He always comes up with great ideas and solutions to fix our household problems.
Description of Work: We called 1st Class Handyman to do several jobs. We wanted two existing ceiling fans replaced; a chandelier centered; leaves removed from the gutter around our birdcage; an area of rotted wood on the fascia repaired; small plumbing and electrical repairs, and a bathtub/shower enclosure removed.

 + 0 moreHe charged $30 dollars an hour. I didn't feel like I could trust him, because he took one of the baseboards, that I had already paid for. He talked often on his phone, and a sink that he had repaired still leaks. He'd charge for an hour when he was not doing work for the entire hour and wouldn't discuss the job with me, very poor communication.
Description of Work: I hired John to to fix my baseboards, as well as, do some other jobs around the house.

 + -1 moreHe promised me he would do other work for me. I've talked to Diane several times and set up appointments for him to come and he never shows. I got up early for him to come and he did not show.
Description of Work: John repaired security light and handle and I paid him $45. I needed more work done and did a walk through to see the work I needed done. I spoke with his wife Diane and was advised I would buy all the parts and would pay $35 an hour.
