1ST CLASS HANDYMAN SERVICES INC

I have dealt with a lot of handymen over the years, and this company was excellent. They scheduled me in less than two weeks. They came promptly with two men at 8 a.m. and finished everything in less than five hours. The price was fair and they were extremely courteous and polite. They used their own fasteners for the cabinets when they thought those enclosed in the package were too flimsy. A very helpful extra touch. One can save a lot of money buying bathroom cabinets "in the box," but assembling and putting them up can be a nightmare. This company took care of all that with four cabinets and saved me a lot of money plus transforming my bathrooms. Same with the shelving I purchased and which they installed in a useless hall closet thus turning it into a badly needed pantry. I will use this company again for any handymen services I need in the future.

I had severe time constraints and made appointment for Saturday morning. Message was left on my office voice mail that they could not make it, but I did not receive it until it was too late. I hired another handyman for this large job since I had to have occupancy as soon as possible.

1st Class Handyman first called to confirm the appointment the day before, which was much appreciated, and then arrived even a few minutes early to start the job the following day. Easily accepted concerns and requests for particular specifications (extra blocking to reduce gutter sagging, making end of gutter flush with architectural feature, use of wood brackets to attach downspout away from shiplapped wall, etc.) Completed the job efficiently and in good fashion.

The new closet they built was amazing. Great attention to detail: they matched the texture on the new closet with the texture on the wall and installed molding inside and out on the closet to match the rest of the room. Worth every penny.

HE WAS VERY PERSONABLE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

The owner of the company, John Mongeon, and his son, Scott, arrived on time. John assessed what materials would be needed to make the requested repairs, made a quick trip to Home Depot and began tackling the project. When we created the list, we figured that it would be a day and a half to 2-day project judging from our past 22 years of experience with typical, area handymen. We immediately sensed that John and Scott knew exactly what they were doing, and this was confirmed as we viewed the high quality of the repairs as they were completed. They completed everything on our list in 4 hours, we were amazed. We have nothing but glowing reports about John and his company. We're almost reluctant to rave too much about this company because we're afraid he'll get too busy and be really back-logged next time we call which, incidentally, brings up another great aspect of this company. When you call, you won't be leaving messages will be talking to John's wife who is incredibly nice.

COMPANY WAS REASONABLY PRICED AND VERY PUNCTUAL. VERY GOOD WORK. WOULD RECOMMEND TO OTHERS. THEY ARE COMING BACK TO DO EVEN MORE WORK FOR ME IN THE FUTURE.

OVERALL IT WAS A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. WE HAD GOTTEN 3 ESTIMATES AND THEIRS WAS THE BEST PRICE. THEY CAME WHEN THEY WERE SCHEDULED AND COMPLETED THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY DID THE JOB TO COMPLETION.

VERY PLEASED WITH THE PROFESSIONALISM AND ATTITUDE OF THE WORKMEN. WILL HAVE THEM DO MORE WORK FOR ME. THE BEST I HAVE FOUND IN THE TAMPA BAY AREA SINCE I HAVE BEEN HERE.

MANUFACTURER OMITTED SOME SCREWS, THEY HAD MATCHING SCREWS IN THEIR TRUCK. NO NEED FOR EXPENSIVE TRIP TO HARDWARE STORE. ALSO-NO MINIMUM CHARGE.

THEY WERE VERY INFORMATIVE AND TOLD ME THE REASON IT HAD ROTTED WAS BECAUSE IT WAS NOT REAL WOOD. THEY DID A REALLY BEAUTIFUL JOB AND USED REAL WOOD. THE PRICE WAS ABOUT 70% OF ANOTHER COMPANY'S. THEY RE-HUNG A LAMP FIXTURE FOR FREE. THEY ALSO RESET THE PHONE WITH THE CORRECT TIME STAMP WITHOUT CHARGE. THEY ARE POLITE AND NICE YOUNG MEN.

NICE OVER THE PHONE, BUT NEVER GO TOGETHER FOR AN ESTIMATE.

WE CALLED 1ST CLASS HANDYMAN SERVICE AND DESCRIBED THE WORK WE NEEDED TO HAVE DONE. THEY SAID THE FEE WOULD BE $30.00 PER HOUR PLUS THE COST OF MATERIALS WHICH WE AGREED TO. THE WORK WAS PERFORMED THE FOLLOWING DAY! SCOTT AND BOB FROM THE COMPANY ARRIVED ON TIME AND WERE POLITE AND EFFICIENT. THEY COMPLETED THE JOB QUICKLY AND THE END RESULT LOOKS GREAT. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK AND WOULD DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN.

HAS NOT BEEN RESPONSIVE FOLLOWING THROUGH ON THE JOB. HE HAS LEFT THINGS UNFINISHED. WAS SUPPOSE TO COME BACK AND INSTALL MICROWAVE AND IT HAS BEEN THREE WEEKS AND HE HASN'T SHOWN.

IT HAS BEEN 12 DAYS AND I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HIM.

THEY WERE VERY DETAILED ABOUT THEIR WORK. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, ARRIVED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, AND THEIR ESTIMATE WAS TRUE TO THE END COST. IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE.

EASY TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. I GOT AN ACTUAL PERSON AND NOT A VOICE MAIL WHEN I CALLED. THE APPOINTMENT WAS SET UP FOR 2 WEEKS AHEAD BECAUSE OF HIS VOLUME OF WORK. THE DAY BEFORE HE WAS TO COME I GOT A CONFIRMATION CALL WITH THE EXACT TIME. HE CAME AT THAT TIME!! WORK WAS WELL DONE AND DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER.

WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL FOR THE PROFESSIONAL CARPENTRY WORK PERFORMED BY JOHN OF 1ST CLASS HANDYMAN SERVICES. WE HAD A UNIQUE SITUATION CAUSED BY THE NEED FOR A LARGER PIECE OF AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT, NECESSITATING THE REDUCTION IN SIZE OF A PANTRY. THE SERVICE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND PROMPT.

HE WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! HE MATCHED THE WOOD WITH THE HOUSE AND HE WAS MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THE OTHER TWO QUOTES, IT TOOK A WHILE TO GET THE WORK DONE, THOUGH HE WAS WORTH IT.

HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. HE CHARGES BY THE HOUR, BUT WORKS VERY FAST. HE WILL GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE AND TELL YOU WHETHER HE CAN OR CAN'T DO THE JOB.

JOHN PERFORMS SUPERB WORK ON ANYTHING HE DOES. HE IS COURTEOUS, PUNCTUAL, AND EFFICIENT. HIS WORK IS REASONABLY PRICED: A GOD SEND FOR A RETIRED SINGLE WOMAN. I FEEL EXTREMELY LUCKY TO HAVE FOUND HIM. A+ ON QUALITY

I HAD TO WAIT ABOUT A MONTH TO GET AN APPOINTMENT, BUT THIS SEEMS TRUE FOR ALL THE HIGHLY RATED HANDYMAN SERVICES IN OUR AREA AT THIS TIME. THIS SERVICE CALLED BACK AND WAS IN CONTACT BY PHONE THOUGH OUT THE SERVICE, WHICH I APPRECIATED. SERVICEMAN WAS POLITE AND PERSONABLE.

THEY WERE A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH. THEY RETURNED CALLS PROMPTLY AND WERE EVEN EARLY FOR THE APPOINTMENT. WHAT IMPRESSED ME THE MOST WAS THE FACT THAT THEY COULD HAVE MADE MUCH MORE OF THIS JOB BUT DIDN'T. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORKMANSHIP AND WOULD CALL THEM IN A MINUTE FOR ANY WORK IN MY HOME

THEY CAME OUT WITH ME TO A HOME CENTER AND HELPED PICK OUT THE CORRECT CABINETS. THE REPRESENTATIVE THERE GAVE THE INCORRECT SIZES. WHEN THEY FOUND THIS OUT, THEY RETURNED TO THE HOME CENTER TO HELP US GET THE CORRECT CABINETS. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. THEY WILL BE COMING OUT A THIRD TIME AND I THINK THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE AND FAIR CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF WORK THEY HAD TO DO.

THEY SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO COME OUT FOR AN ESTIMATE TO REPAIR THE TWO GATES ON OUR PRIVACY FENCE. JOHN CAME OUT ON THE DATE PROMISED AND REPLACED A GATE POST AND ALL HARDWARE ON BOTH GATES. NOW WE CAN OPEN AND CLOSE THE GATES WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE AT ALL. WE WILL DEFINITELY CALL JOHN AGAIN FOR ANY HOME REPAIRS.
