I was told horror stories by friends of the potential mess and the extended timeframes...up to 6 monthes...of how long this kitchen remodel would take...but I want to say that this was the most pleasant experience I've had ...!!!! First,the crew was spectacularly clean... every night when they finished work, the dust and debris was gone! Everything was covered beforehand...sure there is a certain amount of dust as this was a major construction event in the house. Second, the job was estimated to take 4-6 weeks. Everything was complete in the 4th week, and they completed the punchlist in the 5th week. Only the granite contractor for just the granite tile work in the bottom of the garden window extended this job to 6 weeks...still within the original quoted timeframe. I began using the kitchen in the 5th week. It is now October; the work was complete the end of July... and I am still thrilled with the job completed. The kitchen 'makeover' has honestly changed the house...and it is due to the extreme quality of the work. The workers were of the highest caliber skill-wise and they were all very respectful of the house. As I work from home, I was able to work successfully from the house 75% of the time during construction... Because I wanted to give the old cabinets and appliances to Habitat for Humanity, the crew literally took down every single cabinet during demolition and every cabinet was able to be donated...Nothing was destroyed by a swinging sledge hammer. I also want to mention that the contractor used very sophisticated tools to calibrate the cabinets, for example... every tool was well cared for ...this says a lot about the quality of the workmanship. I have never worked with a contractor of such high quality and I would refer this company to everyone without condition.
