POLSON PAINTING

We are so pleased with the work Polson Painting did on our house. Rich was professional, thorough, tidy and punctual. He worked non-stop and finished the job in 2 1/2 days. We had ordered new doors for the house and they had not arrived before he was finished painting. Mr. Polson arranged for him to come back a few weeks later to complete the painting. Everything looks great and our neighbors have all complemented the work that was completed. I would recommend Polson Painting without hesitation. It was a pleasure to do business with them. We had to have the entire interior of the house painted and chose Polson because of reviews, fair price, and quick response. The work was started right on time and was completed within one week. This was a very challenging project because there was a combination of previous oil paint, polyurethane, gloss paint, black paint, murals, acrylic paint, etc. that all had to be primed properly and covered. They used really great paints which led to a great finish, especially on the trim and doors. The doors look like new and are very shiny and smooth as they were sprayed. I really do not know what else to say other then they did a great job, were very punctual, provided a very fair price, worked with us when that was required, and finished the job on time. I definitely will use them in the future.

Our original impression was not good, as we made an appointment for an estimate to be done. No one came to the appointment and no one called after we called them. We posted on Angie's List our trouble and got immediate feedback and an estimate. For our trouble, they gave us a slight break on the price. It was a completely different experience when it came to the actual painting service. A crew of 5 showed up on a Monday morning ready to work! They were quick, clean and delightful. They showed up on time every morning and finished at 5 pm every evening. In 3 1/2 days they painted the inside of our 2400 sq ft house and the outside as well. I still can't believe how efficient they were!

Our experience with Polson Painting was very disappointing and I have delayed adding this review as I was having difficulty finding a way to word it as a narrative while sticking to the facts. Here goes... We were moving into a new-to-us home and purchased the "$399 for Two Interior Painters for a Day" deal. Having no idea what a painter's calendar is like we noted our preferred dates of service as that same week. Don messaged me the next day saying that their schedule was pretty full, but they could get to us in 3-4 weeks. We were a little disappointed as we were trying to get the house painted before we moved in (thinking it would be more convenient for everyone) but it still sounded like a good deal, so I messaged back asking that he put us on his calendar for as soon as possible. He responded with a date for the job and requested we meet the following week to go over what we wanted done. I replied that anytime that week would be fine and to just let us know. He responded with a date and time that would work for him... later changing the time, but that was not a problem for us. I confirmed the appointment, noting that we would make a point to be home all day in case he needed to make another change. We were at the new house on the appointed date and waited and waited. Finally, I received a message from Don saying that he had gone to our old address and that no one was there. He was right, we weren't there, we were waiting at the new house which was the address noted when the deal was purchased. (I still have a copy of the purchased deal and Don's reply to it and it does indeed show the new address.) I can understand his frustration, though; showing up for a meeting and feeling stood up. We were frustrated, also. We had driven to the new (empty) house early that morning to be sure to be there when he arrived. Sitting in an empty house for hours was not fun, either. I asked that we try again, this time confirming the correct address. His abrupt reply was that they don't work in the area of the new house and to contact Angie's list for a refund. We were completely taken aback. We had chosen Polson Painting because their listing noted Hillsborough County as their service area... and the new house was in Hillsborough County. I get the feeling that he was so frustrated with the missed appointment that he decided to just write us off. I am sorry for the 'hiccup', but there was not anything else we could have done. As noted before, the order clearly shows our new address on the emailed receipt and the message that went to Polson Painting... I still have no idea how he ended up with our old address. When I did contact Angie's List for a refund, they asked "why." I said it was because Polson Painting told me to request a refund as they do not service my area. The Angie's List rep confirmed that the new house was within their service area and suggested she call them to work it out. I declined as I was concerned they would feel coerced into working with us... the result being a drop in quality. So we went with the refund, which showed up quickly, I will add. So thank you Angie's List for a timely resolution.

It was a waste of everyone time. I was willing to spend but he just wasted my time. Don't bother I found another painter who quoted and painted the same day.

A few years ago he painted the exterior of my house and did a good job. It will need painting again in a couple of years and he will not be considered because of his lack of professionalism and courtesy in returning calls and honoring commitments. In addition, when he did paint the exterior of my home he took a picture and posted it on his Facebook page without asking for my approval. He was clearly unauthorized to do so.

I like the paint job very, very much. The thing I really liked, was that they used a 3m film product that keeps paint from getting on our windows. I liked all the prep work they did too.

He gave a discount for Angie's List members. He was punctual. He didn't pay attention to detail as much as I'd like them to.

He is very professional, he knew what he was talking about, and their dates and timings for doing the job worked very well for me. I found him on Angie's List. He gave me a very good price.

Not well never contacted by Polson Painting.

I have used this company before to paint the inside of our two story house also. Don is really good at helping with color coordinations and paint type. I have recommended this company to other people who were also very pleased. They do a great job with very little mess, clean up after themselves and come back until you're satisfied.

Polson never bother to contact us again. In fact we've been waiting for their proposal but they must have fallen off the face of the earth. They didn't extend the courtesy of informing us that they had decided not to submit a proposal. Not good business; but it's not unexpected in central Florida. Beware if you intend to contract with Polson.

There was an issue with painting our vinyl siding that was ultimately resolved.

In all took five guys five days total, and they did a really excellent job. Arrived on time, were polite, and cleaned up afterwards. It was expensive, but worth every penny.

The service was extremely professional and fast. This is a large house in Seminole Hgts and he was finished in 3.5 days with all the work done well. He had a large crew of well trained people that got right on the job and finished it. His approach to getting the contract was very professional and he always showed up on time for his appointments. I would not hesitate to use this contractor in the future.

Their estimate was well below a separate estimate from another company. The work was of good quality and the crew was very polite to work with. The weather and the height of our three story house made the work difficult but we are very pleased with the service. They did adjust the price as a coupon was used after the initial estimate. We have had a lot of compliments and one of our neighbors is going to use them as well. I asked them if they can do interior work next year and they will be doing that at that time.

This is the 2nd time I have used Polson and they are GREAT. I had 3 painters at the house from 9am-3:30pm and other than taking a quick lunch break to eat the pizza I bought them, they kept their heads down and worked! They do an EXCELLENT job of masking everything off. They probably spent the first 1.5-2 hrs masking everything perfectly which allowed them to very efficiently paint all of the moldings and my stairs without getting paint anywhere it shouldn't be. You really get excellent VALUE for your money with Polson Painting. Thanks again. I'm sure my wife will have you guys painting several other rooms in the house shortly.

Chris was great to work with, very professional and knowledgeable. The painting crew were awesome. I will use them again and refer them as well.

After a couple of appointments, Polson arrived on time. Pressure washed, filled in all cracks, caulked, rolled paint, hung new light fixtures. All completed in just ONE day! I was mire than pleased with results. Great job!

They were extremely polite,very neat and and would stop what they were doing to change something for us. They were on time and even worked the weekend to get finished. We would definitely use them again.

They set an appointment for an estimate: didn't show, didn't call to cancel or reset.

Overall I am very satisfied with the quality of work and the value I received with this Big Deal from Polson Painting. The details: - Scope of Work: We wanted the walls in approximately 1/2 of our downstairs, wall up the staircase, and hallway on 2nd floor painted the same color. -Materials: I had 5 gallons of Behr Premium Plus Ultra on-site waiting for them. They were painting over a light color so I felt that one coat of this all-in-one paint would do the trick. It did. -Timeliness: Don Polson (owner) told me his men would be there between 9-9:30am. They were there by 8:55am and ready to work. -Painters: the Big Deal was for 2 painters for a day. They brought 3 painters and finished the job shortly after lunch. -Quality: was excellent. It was an excellent value and quality work done very efficiently. Don Polson came out shortly after his painters got going in the morning to check on everything. He is a very nice and personable guy. I am having him quote some additional work now that we've seen the quality of work his painters deliver at an excellent value.
