 + -1 moreI was very pleased with the service. My 93 year old mother in law needed a computer and the folks at PC Land did an excellent job before and after the review. My mother in Law needed a single click option and they showed me how to do it.

 + -1 moreI was told it was buggy and it needed to be cleaned. I had no idea that I would lose so much of my files, passwords, programs, etc. etc. I was told they would need the computer overnight. Well, I finally got it back after more than a week and was missing some critical software and files . Since I was doing away for about ten days, I gave it back to them again. Not much had been done but at least I could boot it up.
Description of Work: MY Apple iMac was possibly exposed to a threatening email. I asked for it to be cleaned up and to ensure that it was virus free.

Description of Work: Replaced power cable to PC by checking it out. Another service would only replace the battery, which is much more expensive and just plain wrong.

 + -1 moreHe was helpful in telling me how to unplug the wires to bring it to him. He took 24 hours to evaluate the computer and call me with an estimate. This is where I think he could have described the clean sweep concept and the removal of all the programs. I asked for an itemized list of what was done to the computer and that was provided without any mention of the deletion of the programs. It took about 3 days to get the job done and when called to pick it up, I was delayed a day because of my work. He loaded it into the car for me after we waited for the downloads to complete.
Description of Work: He is no longer in Wesley Chapel but in Land O' Lakes address just south of the PO on Rt 41 The task of removing the viruses and sweeping clean the computer was done satisfactory. Being the first time I've had to have this done, I was shocked when I got it home, plugged it all in and all of my programs were gone and no mention of that. That was a critical thing to me having used these programs for my work. I had to call my boss over to re-install all of the programs. This could be a standard operating procedure but it would have been a great service to the customer to have been told.

 + -1 moreI'm a realtor and rely heavily on my desktop PC.Had an incredibly annoying jumping mouse cursor issue that wanted to make me throw the computer out the window.Charles from PCLAND came by the morning after I called and within a half hour, had everything working smoothly again. I can now go back to work.Very professional. Very timely. Got things corrected as I had expected.
Description of Work: Reviewed my PC in general and the issue I identified with the tech.Quite possibly I messed with soem things that I should not have and my mouse cursor would blink off and on and made a mess of my typing.

 + -1 moreThe one thing they did not do was that they did not figure out what was wrong with my computer so I would not use them again. Price was inexpensive. Through the security system I found some people to fix what was wrong, they located other service for me to use. I was glad that they were tied up with the security people, it was one good thing they did. I would not work with them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of P C Land. The last time I used their services was in October of 2010. They did not diagnose the problem in my computer but they did introduce me to a security system and upgraded my capacity by putting more memory.

Description of Work: had a failing computer. brought it in for diagnostics - they found some problems and sent it back, but eventually it continued to have problems and finally failed. They did look at it again but could not find a fixable problem, suspected the mother board was dying and gave me some options regarding repair versus replacement. Eventually decided to buy a new computer.
