I am a residential home owner. I have an older lawn mower and pressure washer that were in need of repair and maintenance. I considered replacing these items. They are both good quality brand names, so I also considered having them repaired and maintained. A significant obstacle for me was the transportation of these items, as my vehicle is unable to carry larger equipment . I reached out to Mac Daddy and spoke to Tammy. I assume they mostly deal with large landscape or lawn cutting companies. Although I am a non-commercial consumer, I was treated with respect and seemed like my business was very much appreciated and valued. We discussed the work to be done as well as the transportation fee. I was happy to find a company that could pick up and deliver my items. Of course there is a fee for this service, but I gladly paid it for this convenience. When my equipment was returned, it looked brand new!! It runs great and works better than I expected. Not only would I highly recommend Mac Daddy for any small engine repair. I would purchase any future yard equipment from them as they definitely earned and deserve my business. Thanks Tammy ! Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. I brought in my working pressure washer for and engine oil change and pump oil change. After over a week (and me calling everyday) in the shop and an $80 fee up front they convinced me to do a full tune up which I did not want (charged $280 for tune up and wand—I argued it down to $200). Not only did they over charge me and upsell me but I missed out on 10 jobs because they did not make it a priority to fix my unit. And the best part is I got my unit back yesterday and there is no pressure. My unit worked before I took it to them and now it’s broken and they won’t even fix it. Terrible business model, terrible customer service, complete rip off. I would not recommend this company to my enemy.

Hours listed on web site are not accurate. I was told they were only open Tues, Wed and Thursday. I purchased the mower from Lowes and has a 2 year warranty. Mac Daddy is the only authorized dealer in the Tampa area. I took a day off to drive mower out to their location before my warranty expired. I encountered Tam and she was rude and made it clear if I wasn't spending money, I was wasting her time. Within 5 minutes of arrival, I was informed problem was not covered by warranty and I would need to pay $125 for a tune up. She had a young man look at it and he made this determination without a thorough inspection. When questioned how he could make that determination without even looking at the mower, he said he had seen other Troy Bilts and that was their issue. He also said we probably left the gas in the mower too long and it made the fuel line hard. The gas had not been in there over two months. I declined to pay for the tune up and left with the mower. A total wasted trip.

TRUE RIP OFF artists!!! I NEED A ZERO STAR RATING Brought my non working pressure washer in for repair. I was told that they PRE charged $140 for a 'TUNE UP'. After 2 weeks they called to tell me that I need a new pump for an additional $190!! I asked about the $140 I have already paid and was told that was a non refundable charge and could not be applied to the new pump...They did offer to allow me to come pick up my broken pressure washer...SO NICE OF THEM SO IF YOUR YOU HATE YOUR MONEY AND ENJOY A TOTAL RIP OFF GO TO MAC DADDY'S THEY ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO EMPTY YOUR POCKETS !!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED 1

Fantastic service and support. Tamara, owner, even taught me how to use the pressure washer. She calls it Pressure Washing 101. I highly recommend Mac Daddy for repair of your pressure washer. They also repair a lot of lawn mowers and chain saws. This is the cleanest repair shop I have even been in.

I will say that this place is big, high tech but lacking professionalism from 1/2 the ownership for sure. I was greeted nicely and professional like so i bit. I dropped my 1 yr old (still under warranty) mower off with them. Well after that forget it. I was told to use the online messaging, also told they upload every-step of work on their awesome web site? NOT. That website is a waste. It merely shows that you, your name, your machines serial # etc. was dropped off, THAT'S IT folks. No replies to messages EVER. 3 weeks later and calling them every other day (As instructed when speaking with the better owner) yet they have caller ID and my calls got picked up and hung up on way to many times. God forbid you get that other owner answering the phone and wow, you will never stand a chance. Look, bottom line is i will never again in this life time nor the next one ever again bring this place a dimes worth of my business. I will go without first before stepping foot on their property. It's just not worth the stress. Look up their reviews, we did (After the fact) and am sorry we didn't first. That *Good 1/2* owner is a great GUY and a pleasure to deal with but that other 1/2 makes it not at all worth the trouble. My opinion and experience.

I bought a Bad Boy Outlaw XP with a Kawasaki Engine from Mac Daddy. It's extremely fun to drive, which is why most often my wife and kids do the mowing. Mac Daddy treated me well. The feature that I love most about the mower is the life time guarantee on the 3 gauge steel deck. Other mowers with a welded deck only have 7 gauge thickness, so the Outlaw XP Badboy Zero Turn has has a deck twice as thick as other mowers. My Kawasaki has a three year warranty. They offered a free delivery. I qualified for 0 percent interest. Could not be happier with the mower and the customer service provided. Nice to see a local Family run business doing well. We recommend Mac Daddy for all of your small Engine repairs like pressure washers, your riding mower or Zero Turn Mowers.

I emailed Mac Daddy to repair my push mower, they replied fast. I have a Lexus and did not want dirt in my Lx 570. Michael came out and picked up my mower (I paid him directly) and he took My Honda Push mower to Mac Daddy. A week later he brought it back washed detailed and serviced all for under a hundred dollars. My son will be happy to have the mower serviced and ready to mow grass.

My mower works like a charm. I will definitely do business again, including getting my mower maintenance completed every year.

The place I purchased it from wanted to send it to Atlanta, Ga. for repair. It took Mac Daddy about half an hour to fix the problem and get me back on the road.

I called around to several mower repair shops, all of whom were quoting 2 or 3 week backlog. Mac Daddy said bring it in right now and we will do an assessment and give you a cost estimate within 24 hours. I dropped it off on Friday and they charged me an $80.00 deposit fee. On Saturday I didn't hear from them so I called the shop. Their phone rolled over to voicemail but their mailbox was full. On Monday I drove to the shop and they hadn't done the assessment or cost estimate yet but promised to have it by Tuesday morning and would call me. No one ever called me and their phones still didn't work. I then drove to their shop on Tuesday and they had the cost estimate done. I approved the work and reiterated that I must have the mower no later than Thursday. They said "no problem, it will be ready". Mind you, their estimate was for $668.59 worth of repairs! I tried calling on Thursday afternoon to confirm that the mower would be ready to pick up, but as usual, their phones didn't work. I drove to the shop Thursday afternoon at 5:30 PM only to find that they hadn't even started on my repairs. Further, they claimed not to recognize me nor remember any of our conversations about the criticality of having it done by the end of the day on Thursday. They had no excuse for not calling me, no excuse why they hadn't even started on it, and were not apologetic. When I pressed them for a revised completion date they got ugly and angry with ME like it was my fault! Clearly this was a bait and switch tactic to get me to drop my mower off, and then take their sweet time fixing it, figuring that I would patiently wait until it was convenient for them to do the repairs. Sorry guys, find another sucker. I packed up my mower and took it home. I certainly DO NOT recommend anyone doing business with Mac Daddy Mowers. Fortunately my Credit Card Company was more than willing to "charge back" to them the $80.00 "deposit" fee I had paid. Make sure you use your credit card for any an all deposits and purchases, just to avoid getting ripped off.

Took my trimmer in explained was hard to start would run awhile then stop and then finally not run at all. Was told usually basic tune-up would fix problem.Would take two days and would call me . Week went by I called myself was told was ready. Picked unit up first time I used it stared up fine but after awhile same problem. At one point stalled out and would not restart at all. Took unit back explained problem they said it was the gas I was using. trouble was this was the same tank of the fuel they but in and said to use. They said they would look at it have their part time worker use it and get back to me. After to weeks called them told could not find problem went back picked up unit person talked to said the way it sound from my explaination unit was getting vapor locked. If problem happened again open gas if it makes hissing noise come back they would have part for me. Well same problem no vapor lock and saw part at Home Depot bought and replaced myself unit still has problem.With age of unit (ten years) will look for new unit.

They are good. They would always make sure your equipment is clean. most of them are pretty polite. I've never had a problem with them.

My mother dropped off the mower and paid 40.00 for them to look at the mower. They said they would call me in a week with a quote...which did not happen. Then my cell phone was malfunctioning as sometimes they will. I got a batch of messages that were very rude and unprofessional. In several messages they stated that if I didn't come pick it up they would start charging me for rental space or be forced to get rid of the mower. I received these messages about an hour before getting on a plane to my father in laws funeral. I was so mad at how I was treated, that my husband called and told them if they needed to get rid of the mower, we were in the process of taking care of more serious matters. They seemed understanding. Then we got home mid week and I had work. Then I got a text saying to pick up the mower which I arranged to on wed. Another family's illnesses took president and I let them know I'd be in on Friday(today) but at noon I got another call. I was shocked when I got there to find I had a balance of 80.00 as there was not a quote emailed or sent to me. I paid and left, I would never take my service back to them again.

I have used Mac Daddy in the past and the return of my mower took what I thought was a long time which was almost two weeks for simple repairs. The reason I choose them again is because my mower broke and I do not have a trailer to carry my riding lawn mower to a local repair store. Most repair shops require you to bring your mower in. It took about three weeks to get my mower back. I would call, send e-mails messages and leave message on phone. Often their employees would answer and tell me that they'd have it delivered within an hour and then they never showed up and they never called to apologize or reschedule. They realized that they made a mistake and must have not the put repair work into their computer system correctly. The owner, Eddie called and apologized and I finally found out that some of the parts hadn't even been ordered. Again I was told that it would be returned in a couple of days. Eddie was nice, but I really don't want to hear about how your wife, Tamara (?) missed everything up. If service and getting mowers back is a routine problem then fix the issue. One suggestion is to provide your customers with a temporary mower (loaner) if you plan on keeping their mowers for almost a month. I had to hire someone to cut my yard and the day that I finally got it returned, I had to call and leave a message. Eddie's wife called me and if she was the reason for the problem she should have apologized. But instead, she asked me to pay with a credit card so that she could square the invoice up. I told her that I would pay with a check when my mower was on my driveway and I checked that the problems were fixed. She was supposed to call me back with when the driver would return my mower and guess what I never got a call. The driver is a third party individual whom has a trailer whom does the pick up and returns after his full-time job. Nice guy. I will NEVER use their service again. Shame on me for giving them a second chance after the first time took so long. I will rent a trailer and take my mower to a professional in the future.

I'm generally satisfied with the results - but my biggest gripe was the repair took much longer than I expected and the communication wasn't great during the transition. I'll cut them some slack as they were in the process of moving their business to a new location, but I was somewhat frustrated with: 1. The original estimate was about a week - and instead it took at least 2+. 2. When I called their phone, often it went to a voicemail that wasn't responding. 3. They were slow to respond to my emails as well. As I said though, as they were moving I'm willing to excuse it and I'll plan to use them again. What I did like is: 1. I trust them. They came across as honest and do good work. 2. They said they'd cut me a break on the labor due to the high cost. 3. They noted the delay in repairing the mower was due to a delay in receiving a part vs. due to their move. 4. They kept all the parts for me to inspect (and they all showed major wear or issues) Given the positive aspects of my experience and their great reputation here, I intend to try them again - and expect once they are settled in the new place, I won't see the communication issues as before.

We took the power washer over to them on a day that looked busy but were met by Tamara and taken care of quickly and informed what they would look at and repair as needed. We were told that it would probably take a week to 10 days which seemed reasonable to me. To my surprise, I got a call the next day that it was ready to be picked up. The problem was exactly as described and the estimate was right on as to the cost of repair, no surprises. Tamara took us out and hooked up the power washer to make sure that we were assured that it worked correctly. I've never gotten that kind of service at a big repair store. My power washer now works as if it were brand new. I would recommend this company to all of my friends with total confidence that they would also have a good experience.

I called two times over the next month to check the status; each time they had to look for my lawn mower. Finally almost two months later they called to say they couldn't fix it. Did I want it back? But at least they didn't charge me anything

The 2005 generator would not start. The generator was unused and had been setting with gas in the tank. I called MacDaddy Sales and Service, explained the problem and they agreed to pick up the generator, provide service and return the generator. Pick up was scheduled for 4-5 pm. They called ahead and arrived at 4:30 pm. The cheerful technician introduced himself and gave me a business card. Since a holiday was observed during the time the generator was out for repair, I was told that the repair would take less than a week. The holiday did not affect the length of repair time. I was further told to expect a call to arrange a drop off time. When the drop off day arrived, there were heavy rains and the delivery truck could not get through the down pour. I received a prompt call to explain the situation and delivery was scheduled for the next day. I was given a detailed price at the time I called for repair. She explained the mileage cost for standard delivery and gave a detailed explanation of the basic generator service. An invoice was e-mailed to me describing all service repair and cost as discussed. When the generator was returned, the technician explained the repair and provided education on how to maintain the generator to include monthly starting and putting a load on the generator so that the motor magnetism is assured. The generator left with a cover and was returned with the same cover. The generator was started so I could hear how it sounded. They thanked me for my business when I gave them a check.

They performed the tune-up and determined that it also needed a new carburetor (repeated carburetor cleanings did not correct the problem). So they replaced the carburetor and the generator is running perfectly now. Even though they're a very busy shop, they kept me well informed about the status of the repair job by calling me with updates. I never had to call them to ask what was going on.

Fabulous service, communication, and price. They also showed how to minimize future breakdowns. Fabulous experience!

Picked up mower, they power washed it, changed the plug, sharpened the blade and refilled the gas with ethanol free. Started up and it sounded like new, great job.
