The job was done in 2 parts over weekends. Both teams who came in to do the work were clean & professional. The tile work was amazing in the end. I'm so happy. I'm hoping for my next project we will be working together again.
Description of Work: Remove shower pan in walk in shower. Poured new shower pan along with new tile and new grout.

+ 9 moreIt was smooth and easy. So happy I chose these guys. The neighbors even commented on what hard workers these guys were as they were there everyday, first thing in the morning.
Description of Work: I bought a condo down in Florida and it was in pretty bad shape. It had not been updated in 40 years except some repainting by do it yourselfers, that didn't know what they were doing. Some of the walls had thick paint with previous colors showing through, other walls were not even walls but wood paneling, which had to have drywall hung over to make it a real wall. They painted it all and it looks amazing!! We also retiled the shower, which had sunken down due to some problem, and we added nice decorative tile around the top and all new accessories and shower door. Also, ripped out the circa 1980 vanities and put in some nice new ones with matching mirrors from Home Depot. We retiled all of the floors with nice wood plank tiles and put in nice, beautiful 4 inch baseboards. We also had to replace two doors to a newer wood style. The place looks beautiful, I am so happy. Brian and Jeff answered every question and were very responsive. They helped me so much as I wasn't able to physically be there since I live in California. They were just incredible to work with and I am so happy with the results. We are planning to use them again to remodel the kitchen to put in granite countertops and updated cabinets, in about 6 months, when I come up with more cash. What I really like about these guys is that they know what they are doing, they do really high quality work, and they do everything; paint, tiles, showers, hang drywall, granite counters, install cabinets, and I am sure more. I really needed someone I could trust to work while I am in a completely different state, so I signed up for Angie's list to find them and am exceedingly happy with my choice. I highly recommend Suncoast Homes, and their guys Tyler and Dan are also very professional, helpful and of course, highly skilled in their trade.

+ 1 moreVery smoothly. Jeff called me back quickly after my inquiry on AL. He scheduled an appointment within 2 days of my request to give me a free estimate although they are extremely busy and booking jobs 2 months out. He was very thorough, professional and personable and I felt comfortable discussing my ideas and needs with him for Kitchen and 3 bath remodels. He provided much appreciated suggestions for flooring choices and educated me further in order to make the best choice for the long term. The cost of labor for his work would be the same but the durability of the two seemingly comparable products for me in the long run weren't the same although they are being marketed as comparable. I greatly appreciated his timeliness, responsiveness and overall professionalism. I haven't hired the company I am going to go with for these projects yet because I am waiting for 2-3 more bids to come through but Jeff's proposal came in less than 24 hours after our meeting which is impressive! I would definitely consider working with them.

+ 2 moreWe had a quote and they arrived on time and we booked the job. The technician came on time was very nice, thorough and cleaned up after himself. We had an issue with the laminate transitions getting too wet and bubbling up, but the company stepped up and made it right to our satisfaction! The owners are both very easy to work with and we were comfortable with all the work they did. The showers came out looking beautiful and the floors look almost new. We would recommend them!
Description of Work: We used this company to clean all the grout lines in our home - approximately 1800sf or so. They also cleaned two shower tile floors and brightened them up with grout whitening.

Description of Work: I have a picture window that has been leaking, causing the interior studs and drywall to rot. Jeff came out to do an estimate for drywall/stud repair work. He was on time and super friendly, called a couple window people for advise and suggested having the window re-sealed prior to any work being done. He did estimate the job in a range since most of the work is "hidden".

+ 10 moreJeff Cohn met us on the appointed afternoon and brought a second fellow with him to help assess scope of work. I would imagine this young man would have been the hands-on contractor with Jeff's firm being the necessary 'General Conractor'. Both were quite pleasant and seemed capable (believe me, we'd had a nightmare of a duo present themselves earlier that same day whom we wouldn't want within 2 miles of our home). We were completely unprepared for the sizable quote we received. By then we had spoken with a (Angie's List) general handyman as well as electrician(s), a plumber, and Home Depot on most of the individual line items. In using these professional(s) quotes we estimated that the same work might cost (if we contracted several of these ourselves) $13,500 - 18,000, at most. When we asked Mr. Cohn to give more isolated dollar amount quotes to the ten or so sub-projects he was arrogant in replying that this wasn't the way his company operated and that the job was too small to make it worth his nickle-and-diming it as such. Where we might then have used Suncoast for some of the work, he/they were obviously not interested. We ended up being our own general contractors and, while it wasn't the least bit easy, I'm grateful that we didn't hire Suncoast. I would advise others in a similar situation to consider using Home Depot or Lowes and a good and competent Handyman they can find through Angie's List.
Description of Work: Early on after having purchased a 'rode hard, put away wet' foreclosure property we intended to make our primary residence we contacted Suncoast to give a 'general contractor' bid for demolishing /replacing tile floor (not including materials), removing and replacing kitchen cabinets, removing slider tracks & repairing drywall, installing exhaust fans, replacing(1) / reseating (1) toilet, replacing decorative lights and fans (provided by us), removing an outside garden wall and replacing garage door opener. Quote also included exterior painting of residence (additional $3800 over 'Cost of service' noted).

+ 0 moreIt was perfect. I have used them before a year earlier and I had them again and they are great. I added two bathrooms and bedroom extra. The fact that they have a special kind of grout coloring that they are capable of doing that apparently nobody else has right now. Everybody else just cleans the grout they actually color it. They have number of different colors, but I am in the whitish grey kind of grout coloring. They can do virtually any color if you have large amount of area that needs to be done, but as far as did it in the bathroom where I guess dye or something like that from hair dye had stained the grout in the bathroom so I had them refresh that in both bathroom and the tile. I really think they had some sort of a product that they alone have developed and use. They aren't usual and very special. I intent to use them again.
Description of Work: I used Suncoast Home Solutions Big Deal purchase for tile and grout cleaning. It was for two bathrooms, a bedroom, master bedroom, family room and kitchen.

After a terrible and frustrating experience with the company who originally (and improperly) installed the shower during a bathroom remodel, I found Jeff, Tucker, and Ty's professionalism, honesty, and sense of humor to be quite reassuring. They quickly identified the problem, clearly explained what needed to be done, and then did it. Jeff originally told me that it would be a four day job. Since it took me five months to get the original installer to "fix" the leaking shower--which they obviously did not fix--I was surprised at the 4 day estimate. I would have been happy if he had said 10 days. To my amazement, they finished in three! Everything looks great. Needless to say, we are pleased with the results. I would most certainly hire them again. As a matter of fact, I look forward to working with them again.

Description of Work: Suncoast home solutions installed a ceramic tile floor in our lanai. They removed the old carpeting and scraped off ALL the glue. The old carpet was removed immediately and the work site kept very very clean. Tyler and Matt then installed ceramic tiles and grouted the tiles after they dried.

+ 0 moreWe hired Suncoast for a renovation of the kitchen in our 1926 "Old Florida" house. The "3-week" remodel soon turned into a seven-week rebuild, as new areas of structural concern were revealed as each "layer" was peeled back. While we were dismayed, Suncoast leadman Tucker Morton and his crew were undaunted, working six-day weeks with crews of at least 3 men, and sometimes more. They were the hardest working, most efficient and most cheerful gathering of men I have seen. Suncoast principal Jeff Cohn visited the worksite frequently to address issues as they arose. Obviously the work performed far exceeded the original plan, but Jeff came up with reasonable and fair modifications to the contracr to keep things going. While we all breathed a sigh of relief when the job was completed, the end result was spectacular! Jeff believes the job isn't done until the owner is happy. While we gave him plenty of opportunities to question this philosophy, he stuck with it.

The garage doors that we ordered took a little longer than expected to come in and when they did we discovered that they garage door openings were made a bit too small for the doors. The subcontractor had his guys back out at the house to fix the issue within 48 hours and they completed the job to our satisfaction. We're very happy with the finished product and would absolutely use Suncoast again for any future projects.
Description of Work: Enclosed existing carport into a 2 car garage, replaced hardie board siding on existing structure, installed gable vents, wired new electrical and installed garage doors and openers.

He answered every question, voiced every concern, made recommendations, and asked some good questions of his own. His estimate was higher than the other contractors we were in contact with, but you could tell his mindset was quality.
Description of Work: He provided an estimate on the labor only for a bathroom remodel. Items included were the remodel of the shower, installation of a glass shower enclosure, retile of the bathtub deck, replacement of the bathroom countertops with a quartz/marble, and a few other misc items.

They replaced tile in the entire house, completely remodeled the master and guest bathrooms (retiled shower, installed new vanity with granite counter top in master bath, installed medicine cabinets and lights in both baths), painted the entire interior, and replaced doors and hardware. Jeff and Bryan were very responsive and helpful as I made project decisions. They were extremely knowledgeable about the quirks of older homes and provided me with rock solid guidance and advice. As a snow bird, I was a bit apprehensive about having work done sight unseen, but my concerns were totally unfounded. Communicating with them was easy. Jeff kept me updated constantly. The work was completed on schedule without any issues or hassles. It was a seamless operation from start to finish, and I could not have been happier with the results.
Description of Work: Replaced all floor tile throughout the house. Remodeled master and guest bathrooms. Installed recessed lights throughout house. Painted entire interior. Replaced doors and door hardware. Repaired and painted laundry room. Cost above is labor.

Jeff made the time to give us an estimate and was patient enough to answer a billion questions from the Realtor. Even though Suncoast was very busy, Jeff kept in constant contact and was able to fit the job in. He even finished early! Definitely top notch...Jeff was kind, patient and punctual. Would use them again in a heartbeat!

We were getting ready to go out of town and he said not to worry about it now, he will come back out and clean the gutters for free before be installs the leaf guard. He was very kind about this.

On the day of service, they sent 3 guys to do the job. I have over 1500 sq. ft. of white tile and they moved all my furniture to clean and reseal the grout. They even gave me a great warranty on the grout! We are looking at using Suncoast to remodel our bath and kitchen as well.

I explored other service providers for their services, but found Jeff and Brian to be a one stop shop and single point of contact for all of our needs. They helped us make designed decisions along the way as well. Their team was responsive and accommodating when unplanned challenges and changes to the plan arose. If a task arose for which they were not experts, they leveraged their professional network and provided us with excellent quality referrals. We really had an excellent experience and are very happy with the results. We look forward to continued work from Jeff and Brian.

+ 4 moreGreat. Had to wait three weeks to get on schedule but that is understandable. Jeff came with two guys on Monday and they were courteous, helpful and very conscientious workers. The two workers always cleaned everything up all day long and did a really great job! Jeff came to check on them before they were done to make sure everything was done as we wanted it. Would definitely call them again.
