They worked on the roof through some pretty heavy rain. The owner worked on our job, because he had a bigger job his employees were working on and he didn't want to make us wait. I would highly recommend this company!

Description of Work: requested professional opinion on sheet rock area that had gotten damp due to minor roof leak...will we see mold due to moisture. We had fixed the roof caulking leak immediately. He asked about how long ago the event took place...we said ~3 weeks ago. He said that since it had been that much time, mold would have already tracked the moisture if it was going to... he said leave all alone- no money to be made here :)

Description of Work: He said my small job was too far to be financially worthwhile for him. But, he referred me to a carpenter/handyman in St. Petersburg whom I did contact and use by the name of Tom Perreta. The job is ongoing and I can review in a month.

Description of Work: We had a Bathtub removed and replaced with a tiled shower. We are very pleased with the completed shower. The tile work turned out beautiful. Also, we had the screening from the back porch removed to make an open porch using the existing roof. They added support beams where needed and removed metal supports which were not necessary for supporting the roof. To finish they made pillars around the remaining support columns. We are very pleased with the outcome. They were neat while on the job and cleaned up after themselves each night.

Description of Work: This is my first ever Angie's List review and I wish I had the option of A+ regarding the overall experience. I've employed plasterers in 2 previous residences and this experience was by far my best.The plaster work I had done in the previous homes were on relatively newer homes.This newly purchased home required major plaster work and I was nervous d/t the age of the house - it was built in 1920. I had three companies come to the house with ideas and estimates. Jeff's ideas made the most sense and he seemed the most knowledgeable, especially in helping us restore this 92 year old home. Also the techniques he described and the time-line of several days was much preferable to estimates of 4-6 weeks!! I felt more confident with a written contract describing the specifics of the job. To say the house had significant plaster damage is an understatement.The kitchen ceiling had a huge hole in it that actually got much bigger before Jeff's crew worked their magic. The plaster damage extended significantly to all the walls in the kitchen, into the dining room ceiling and walls, the adjacent sunroom as well as the entire hallway leading to the basement The plaster was literally falling off the walls in many areas.This was my main focus, but once we had possession of the house, it was very evident that the upstairs rooms were also damaged and in need of Jeff's attention. Specifically upstairs, Jeff replaced the bathroom ceiling and the area adjoining the tub.He put green board on the area above the bath/ shower enclosure and sealed this area He also covered with drywall a ceiling in one of the bedrooms that looked as though it was in imminent danger of falling down. His crew also skimmed a bedroom that had significant cracks. All of these rooms turned out extraordinary, but it was the downstairs that was the most incredible transformation. His crew did an amazing job upstairs but it was downstairs where their work can only be described as miraculous. They quickly had a new kitchen ceiling in place and expertly repaired the holes in the entire dining room ceiling as well as repairing and skimming areas on the walls in the kitchen, dining room and sunroom. The work in all of these rooms was phenomenal. In addition they tore out the damaged plaster in the downstairs hallway, replacing the ceiling with drywall and skimming the walls. Jeff said that the entire job would only take a few days and he was absolutely true to his word. He runs a very efficient crew and their level of craftsmanship is amazing. Jeff was a constant presence, quickly handling anything that had the potential to slow the project down. They filled in misc. cracks and holes - the house re-wiring was finishing up as Jeff started and they graciously repaired the many holes created by the electricians. We were very appreciative of this. Jeff took an interest in the entire house, offering suggestions for things we could do on our own. He really has an appreciation and knowledge of older homes. After the plaster work, the job was so phenomenal that we decided to hire him to paint the downstairs.(of course, this was in addition to the orig amount for the plaster work). His input in picking the colors was invaluable and needless to say, the same level of professionalism and craftsmanship created a superb paint job. They left the place spotless and in better shape than they found it. They cleaned the floors and all the woodwork had been wiped down. We would highly recommend Jeff. It was a stress free, fun experience and we're thrilled with the outcome.

Description of Work: I can not say enough about the amount of service and professionalism by Jeff and his team. I was looking to remodel my bathroom and after looking on Angie's List I found 3 contractors in my area. The first, his proposal was over 9,000. The second cancelled the appointment and then never called back. My third find was the best, Cleveland's Best. From the moment of meeting Jeff I knew he was the man for the Job. He listened to my input and gave some great suggestions. After that he was very punctual in getting me his proposal. Afterward we did a final walk through to estimate the materials needed, since I was using a third party person for the materials. Jeff's concern for the job, he brought his electrician to make sure everything was in line for the new bathroom. The day of demolition Jeff and his crew were punctual and on time. They made sure that every precaution was taken to secure everything. After demolition his team wet to work constructing a beautiful new bathroom. At every step of the project Jeff kept me informed making sure I had no questions, everything was on schedule, and most importantly I was pleased with the work. Jeff was here everyday making sure every detail was taken care of. His crew went above and beyond making sure my 3 month puppy went outside while I was at work. If and when I did have questions, Jeff answered them promptly and made the whole project a smooth success. Again, i could not be happier. Jeff and his crew are great professionals. I would recommend Jeff and Cleveland's Best Construction in the future, and I am already planning on remodeling my Kitchen next Spring, and definitely will be calling Jeff for the work. Take my advise search no further then Cleveland's Best Construction... You won't be disappointed!!

Description of Work: Jeff and his team built a two-room suite in an unfinished area of our basement. It looks incredible! He came out, gave us an estimate, his workers showed up, on time, polite, clean and professional. We will definitely use him again!
