quite disappointed. The estimation went well, the contractor is professional and know how to handle the project, but price is high because they wouldn't "just fix" but want to "rebuild" things. his mason comes later than what he told me. his window guy missed the appointment and came in a wrong day, and never apologize to me, and never showed up/contact again; he also didn't send me his design on time, which he said he did. last time, I want to use him to fix my gutter, he promised to send out his gutter man, but... Nobody ever contact or showed up.

Everything went smoothly. Jeff Cohn kept in contact with us by phone or by stopping over to keep us informed of each step. All workers were very professional. Work was done on time, and all debris was cleaned up. First the tree was removed and the stump was ground out. The garage was knocked down, and the pieces were put into two dump trucks. No debris was left behind. A massive hidden root of the tree was removed. The foundation was poured and allowed to cure. The framing only took a day and a half. The garage door was installed. The electricity was installed connecting to our house with underground cable. Finally the gutters and downspouts were installed and tied in to the previously installed French drain. The city inspectors gave the construction their approval.

Overall experience was very positive. Contractor stuck to the bid -- finished project within budget. Quality of work was good -- contractor handled the various challenges presented by the project well. The workers were respectful. Work took a little longer than anticipated, but I really appreciated their willingness to take the time to do the project right. Contractor also stands by the work. About a week after the project was complete, I asked them to return to correct a minor problem with a closet door. Most contractors that I've worked with tend to be very unresponsive after they've been paid. This contractor returned to my house the next business day and fixed the problem without additional charge. I would recommend them for future projects.

Jeff is SO easy to work with! Within a few hours of him coming to give us an estimate, the electrician had come and gone and made the repair without even pulling us away from work to come home to assist. He has a vast network of contacts in all areas of home repair and does an excellent job of doing all the behind the scenes work to set up appointments and schedule repairs. We plan to use him extensively in the future. He also came in significantly lower on this project than the other estimate we received, and the work looked much better than the pictures we received from the other electrician of what he could make it look like.

I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Jeff and his crew. The home that I own in Cleveland is rented out to tenants and I live across the country. I was able to coordinate everything through phone calls, emails, and pictures with Jeff. He always returned my calls and was prompt in getting me what I needed to submit a claim to my insurance. He managed to get the work done in one week so my tenants would not be inconvenienced. He also was very attentive to both my needs and my tenants concerns. He made recommendations and suggestions along the way and guaranteed his work. He was an absolute delight to work with and I already have future plans to work with him in redoing my kitchen and bath.

Cleveland's Best Construction was a very professional and honest group to work with. Jeff let us know when the job would start and held to that, keeping to the planned schedule. He was willing to work with us, making adjustments to the plan as the work was going-on. He stayed within his estimate even with the adjustments. He and his entire team were clearly seasoned professionals. The entire staff was professional and punctual. We felt the entire team to be honest and hard-working, we even felt comfortable to give the team access to our home even when we were not there. Everyone on staff at Cleveland's Best Construction had the attitude of wanting to make us happy and doing the job right. We are very pleased with the outcome and would certainly recommend Cleveland's Best Construction.

Great response obtaining bid, beginning work. Once work begun, reliable, friendly skilled workers on time and cleaned up daily. Bid significantly under two other A rated companies, yet quality work. Done on schedule, with no surprises. Could have draped a few areas to prevent dust, but they cleaned that up when finished. No complaints with the entire experience and our friends and family have raved about the finished project.

Just fabulous! Once I told Jeff we wanted to move forward, he and his workers arrived about a week later, exactly as promised, and performed the carpentry work including installation of the window and creation of 2 closets. Originally, Jeff thought they'd make the closet doors out of plywood, but was concerned it wouldn't look right and recommended we use standard doors instead. The price differential was minimal and the closets look great! I also asked Jeff to replace the entry door to the room. (Not in the original scope.) Previously, there were 2 doors back to back at the entry to avoid heat loss. This created some extra work because Jeff noticed that the current door had been cut away at the bottom to avoid hitting a step. He purchased a new, solid core door and made the necessary alterations so that the door could swing freely without cutting away part of the door! The drywall job was excellent, especially considering these walls aren't totally straight. Once that was complete, they came back the next day and did the finish work. It took longer than expected, but Jeff stuck to his original pricing. Jeff and all of his employees are extremely professional, punctual and knowledgeable. They also have a nice sense of humor! Not only would I hire Jeff again, we're already discussing the remodeling of our master bath. He recommended a designer who will first create a set of plans and then they'll start work again. I know it will be beautiful.

I can honestly say from start to finish my kitchen remodel was flawless. The cabinet manufacturer forgot to ship a base cabinet on the initial load, but Cleveland's Best Construction was able to space the cabinets appropriately, install the granite and slip the cabinet into place. CBC made it look easy! I am very particular about my home, as most individuals should be, and I can state without a doubt that the project was effortless for me. By the time I returned home from work each day the crew was gone and my kitchen and garage were spotless. If I knew it was going to be such a pleasant experience, I would have had my kitchen done years ago. I have heard nightmares about remodeling projects and general contractors. Jeff was so professional and accommodating. Demolition and repairs took less than a day: repair of my floor (leaky dishwasher), plumbing and electric, cable, T.V. install, wall oven...CBC was installing my cabinets on the second day; by the third day we were ready to template for granite. Amazing!!! I wish everyone could run their business so efficiently. I have already referred Jeff Cohn and Cleveland's Best Construction to many friends.

Amazingly well!!!! Timely on providing an estimate, clearly outlined the scope of work for approval, accurate estimate of when the work could be started, focused on one job, used crew wisely to get the work done quickly but well, accurately estimated the amount of time it would take to complete the job, in touch at least daily by phone/email to provide updates on status and checking to see that things were done appropriately, very professional,personable, and punctual crew- no concerns having them in the home while at work and willing to share thoughts on approaches based on expertise. Have already recommended to others and will certainly use again.

Jeff seemed nice at first but became more and more annoying to work with as time went on and it became apparent that he rarely paid attention to what I said to him and he seemed to be more interested in getting the job done fast then doing a good job. He also went way over budget. There were dozens of little issues throughout the job- here are a few examples: The first day when his plumber forgot to solder one of the pipes and when he turned the water on it flooded my kitchen and leaked into the basement. He was apologetic and cleaned things up, but not an auspicious start. They installed the shower handle way lower then I thought it should be (just a few inches above the tub spout), and Jeff argued with me about it and told me to look at a web site that would prove that shower handles are always installed that way, but the web site showed handles mid-wall, which is where I thought it should be. Then I showed him the installation instructions that came with the shower head and handle, which stated that it should be installed at the height I had been requesting. He begrudgingly moved the handle. I bought the shower trim set myself and told him it was a brushed nickle finish and that he should get brushed nickle finish on the tub overflow and plug which he was to purchase. He did not listen and got shiny chrome finish, which is still in the tub now so nothing matches. There was crappy old plastic stick-on baseboard molding which he was going to replace with a real wood baseboard. It turned out he "couldn't get the old stuff off" and he installed the wood baseboard ON TOP of the old plastic stuff! He said I would "never notice it was there." Wrong! I notice it all the time when I look at the thick caulking he had to do to cover up the fact that the new baseboard is not flush against the wall. We were planning on keeping our pedestal sink, but the plumber broke the base and said he would buy us a new base. When he went to the store he couldn't find a matching base so he bought a whole new pedestal sink. I give him credit for doing this at no cost to me, however, I really dislike the style of the new sink and it was already installed by the time I saw it, so it is still in our bathroom today. The fireplace tiles was another example of Jeff not listening to what I said. We had natural sandstone tiles, and many of them had a grey side and a tan side. I told him no less then three different times, including on the morning when he was to install the tiles, that I wanted him to use whichever side was more tan in color. I walked in when he was halfway though the job and saw he was using mostly grey sides. He acted as if I had never mentioned it, and it was too late to remove the tiles that were already installed. Though nothing ended up horrible, the whole experience was unpleasant and the remodel was not as good as it could have been. I would like to rename the company "Cleveland's Most Mediocre"

Jeff and his team were very responsive from the very beginning. There were a few glitches along the way(as there are with all remodeling projects), all of which Jeff and his team handled quickly and efficiently. They were honest and upfront and gave me several options to handle the unforeseen problems ranging from the least to most expensive. He updated me daily and he made sure the job site was left neat and tidy at the end of every day. He was respectful of my 1 year old twin girls and dog especially when it came to the dust. The basement looks great now and I'm very happy knowing that we all have a safe and inviting place to hang out.

The project went very well overall. Jeff communicated daily what the plan of action was for the day and asked many questions to make sure we were getting what we wanted. Very friendly, honest, straightforward and professional. Fit and finish is what can be expected for the cost of the work. Excellent plumbing work. Workers were very respectful. CBC was great to work with and we are very happy with our new bathroom.

The job turned out better than we could have imagined! The project included a small amount of tear out before actual framing could occur. All pieces were removed and cleaned up with precision. Our job also included a substantial amount of electrical and plumbing work with whom the subcontractors were excellent to work with. Everyone was respectful of our time and privacy and all work was completed to our utmost satisfaction. All contractors worked very well together including those that were contracted by us, not by Cleveland's Best. The project was completed on time.

I was very pleased with all of the services performed and the outcome. The new cement driveway looks great, the new windows work well and the front door is beautiful. I am very pleased with the performance of this company.

Our experience with Cleveland's Best Construction was great from start to finish. My original phone message was returned promptly by the owner, Jeff, and the work was first rate and was done in a timely fashion. Everyone who worked on our powder room was efficient, prompt and courteous, and a pleasure to have around. Our home was built in the 1920's, and consequently some unexpected problems popped up during the remodeling. Jeff and his crew met each new "challenge" with equanimity. We have since used this company for other jobs and will continue to do so in the future. We highly recommend them.

After much phone tag on both ends, Jeff set up a time for us to meet at the property. He was detailed and gave me a lot of good suggestions with the property. Unfortunately, he called me a few days later to state he did larger projects and did not have the resources to do all the small projects I needed. I did not feel that the person he recommended was as detailed and organized. I offered to send him the home inspection list ahead of time. This may have saved everyone time if he had reviewed this before going through the property.

Jeff was very nice to work with, professional, and very good at keeping in touch with me. I felt the price was fair and I would have no reservations in recommending them to others.

The project went great. He kept me updated on when they were going to start the project (since they had to finish another remodeling first). He came out a few times before hand to go over the project and had alternative ideas on what to do with his carpenter to make sure everything went to plan. His crew was very professional and got the job done in time and on budget. This was even when his drywaller had a death in his family right when he was going to finish our walls. Jeff kept us informed on their plans and we were able to work around this issue without altering the time line significantly. He did charge material prices as an add-on which made it easy for my wife to get exactly what she wanted. It also made it easier to reconcile the final price because he stuck to his labor cost even with slight modifications to the plans. The material prices were higher just because my wife wanted what she wanted (not limited to a $500 or $1000 bathroom fixture costs that others built in).

Outstanding. Jeff returned my call the first time I called to request an estimate. The work was done quickly and very well and each member of the company was a pleasure to deal with.

We came across Cleveland's Best Construction LLC through a mutual friend who suggested that we contact Jeff Cohn. Jeff's quote was right in line with others quoted. The work was completed as he promised, 4 weeks! We were blown away by his ability to complete the job within this time frame. Others quoted 14 weeks. Jeff and his team performed just as promised. There was very little mess and attention to detail was evident. I would strongly suggest others using him for kitchen and bath remodels. In fact, his work was so good that I used him at my office as well. The same quality and workmanship was seen there too!

Jeff and his crew showed up on time, and were very professional. I never did this before and was a bit nervous, but Jeff was always available to give me progress reports. They did a wonderful job...and it was completed one day ahead of schedule! My floors are just beautiful!

Way cheaper than other companies. John did the work and is an artist. Cared about his work and had good suggestions.

Overall-an excellent A rating from start to finish. I was amazed that each day the crew left the area neat as a pin.

Jeff gave an estimate several weeks before the work was performed and said to call him when we had a delivery date from the appliance store. Contacted Jeff the day before the delivery and Jeff was on-site when the appliances arrived. Jeff assisted with appliance inspection and installed all appliances the same afternoon that they arrived. An issue was found with the water line to the refrigerator. Jeff and his plumber came back several days later to replace the line. Final cost ($585) was higher than original estimate ($300) due to the need to replace the water line to the refrigerator. Very pleased with the job that Jeff and his plumber did on this job. The site was left very clean after the job was completed. Both were very reliable and honest. We will definitely hire for additional work in the future.
