I purchase a Big Deal discount coupon for drywall repair. Jeff, the owner, called me to make an appointment before I had a chance to call him. He arrived a bit early and was ready to start on time. The drywall repair work went very well and he patched up all the problem areas that I had including a crack in the ceiling. He was very professional and had a nice personality and was willing to answer all of my questions about the best way to patch and repair holes and damage to the walls. Overall, I was very pleased with my first Big Deal coupon purchase from Angie's list.

Jeff, the company owner, was utterly professional in his assessment of the situation he was there to repair and timely in the work. Clean-up was great. My fiancee purchased the Angie's List BIG DEAL coupon (Up to 4 Hours of Drywall/Plaster Repair, etc. for ONLY $99!) 'blind' from CLEVELAND'S BEST CONSTRUCTION, LLC; and we can attest that it, truly, is a 'BIG DEAL'...and, in this case, a good one, too. When I called to schedule our much-needed hallway drywall job, owner JEFF was friendly, accommodating, punctual (returning missed calls), and diligent (in addressing any questions or scheduling issues, we had). He explained that our Angie's List coupon entitled us to either 1 [work]man for up to 4 hours (or 2 for 2 hours, etc.) for $99, excluding the cost of parts. Previous to my scheduling call, Jeff took the time to respond to my fiancee's initial email and replied back, immediately, estimating the job cost, given the size of our hallway, and anticipating completion within the coupon's stipulated timeframe. In less than two days (which could've been the very next day, as Jeff offered, if not for our own scheduling constraints), Jeff and his coworker arrived at my door, right on time (as opposed to too early, which I'd mentioned we hated). The duo was neat/clean, professional, efficient, and thorough from start to finish, allowing me to inspect the work, before leaving my house 'n' hallway...now drywalled and looking much better than the team found it, in just under 2 hours. Better still, not only did Jeff make good on his original cost/time estimation, staying within the limits of the $99 coupon, we'd purchased, but he also went above and beyond (for us, brand new customers and dedicated, long-time Angie's List members) by WAIVING THE COST OF PARTS for our job! In today's tough economy, especially, it would've been SO easy for Jeff make a little more off our small job and charge us -- charge me, in particular (as the 'woman of the house,' who knows nothing about drywall (nor cares to), standing with blank check, in hand) -- for even the 'reasonable' and expected cost of materials. But Jeff cared more about offering us good service at a MORE than fair price, in exchange for a customer that will call him, again, and refer him to our friends and fellow AL members. I purchased this company's big deal through Angie's list. They scheduled an appointment three days after my first phone call. But the next day they called and asked if they could come by earlier! We set a time, and they came on time and made repairs to our basement ceiling which had been damaged last year while insulation had been installed. They did a great job, the parts of the ceiling that felt loose before are secure now. They got the job done quickly and were both professional and friendly.

Jeff, the owner of Cleveland's Best Construction, assisted us in design, sent us to quality suppliers to select materials, and monitored the work on a daily basis. We were very pleased with the individual attention we received and the quality of the work. We wanted the work to be done to a high standard and Jeff really delivered. This was a big job and I had some doubts that the smooth plastered walls that I envisioned could be achieved given the depth of the heavy texture on the existing walls. Jeff and his crew were very professional from the onset. They took the necessary time to evaluate the job and assured me that they could achieve the desired end result before beginning work on the project. Jeff's team showed up every day at the stated time and kept the work area as neat as possible for the duration of the project. It was apparent throughout the project that his team was very skilled and took pride in their work. Shortly after the project was completed, I discovered some cracking in one of the newly plastered walls. Jeff answered my call right away, assured me he would fix the problem, and came back in a few days to repair the imperfections. My living room looks amazing and the new walls are better than I had envisioned. I will definitely be using Jeff again in the future and highly recommend Cleveland's Best Construction.

Amazing service. Jeff's crew wonderful to work with. Careful and clean, every single day of the project. Most amazing: they repaired, at no charge, a portion of exterior brick/mortar that a prior contractor had damaged! No additional charge. They did everything the contract agreement called for...and more than I expected.

Jeff and his partner showed up at the exact hour he said he would, dispelling the old jokes about service people. The work they did was excellent in quality, and they cleaned up all dusts from the work. Not only did they repair the plaster, but also applied a base coat of paint once the new plaster was dry.

Overall, I would recommend Jeff and his team to anyone. They showed up on time and worked efficiently with an eye for perfection. Jeff was straight forward on how much the labor would cost and allowed me to buy my own materials. My three seasons room looks gorgeous and I could not be happier.

Great! I couldn't be happier with the results. After a contractor abandoned this job a few years ago, I have been trying to find someone to finish it. Everyone I called said the job was too small, not worth their time. Cleveland's Best showed up on time, were friendly and professional. The work is quality. And I have my rooms back, best of all.

I had contacted Jeff because I had purchased the Angie's List Coupon. Jeff and his helper, Nick, came to repair (dry wall and patching) damaged walls and ceilings. They arrived on time and were very particular about covering and/or removing shoes. They did a quick assessment and got right to work fixing the problem areas. I discussed some concerns I had about the walls/wallpaper in my master bathroom. We discussed my options and I decided to have the paper stripped and have the walls painted. Jeff also agreed to install a new light fixture and bathroom extractor fan. The walls under the paper had evidently not been sized and getting the paper off at least one of the walls was very difficult. Much of that wall had to be patched. While they were stripping the paper they found that one area of the ceiling/wall was wet and found that water had backed up from the skylight during the bad weather. They removed the damaged wallboard then went on the roof and sealed around the skylight in the area that they believed to have been the source of the leak. They patched the wallboard and painted the bathroom ceiling and walls. Jeff only charged me $75 above his original estimate for the extra work that he had to do replacing the wet wallboard and patching the skylight. I thought this was very reasonable considering the extra time they had to spend and the fact that they had to go out on the roof in the cold weather. I was very happy with all the work that Jeff and Nick did and I wouldn't hesitate to contact them in the future when I have more projects that I want to do.

This was an Angie's List "Big Deal" - 4 hours of general carpentry work for $99. I received far more than my money's worth. We needed an attic access door installed. Jeff returned my first call promptly. After I described the job, we set up an appointment to look at the work site. He was on-time and thorough in his evaluation of the work to be done. On the start day for the work, Jeff and his assistant, Nick arrived on-time. They consulted with me throughout the process to to make sure that they were doing the work in accordance with my specifications. The results were terrific, as the door is well-integrated with the rest of the room. Jeff offered to do some extra plastering to fix the water-damaged ceiling in our living room. And, he did that extra work at no extra charge! Cleveland's Best Construction was just that for us.

They were punctual and courteous to me, my wife, my daughter, and dog. The business owner -- Jeff -- also stopped by to check in on progress and see if he could get any additional materials while the workers were at the house. They did a great job of cleaning up and left the work area looking spotless.

We just joined Angie's list and I asked my husband to find some prospects for fixing the small hole in the bathroom plaster so we could repaint the room. He found several prospects, including Jeff Cohn, whose ratings on the list were great and who was offering a $99 Big Deal for 4 hours' worth of work. We figured we could have a few other small things done at the same time because the hole was pretty small--what a deal! I contacted Jeff and he got right back to me but explained that so many people had bought the deal that he was ending it because he was already committed for two months and didn't want to make any customers unhappy by waiting so long. Disappointing but understandable. Then he called back and said he would be in the area and could stop by. I was expecting to get an estimate; instead he patched the hole AT NO CHARGE because he didn't want us to be disappointed for not getting in on the Big Deal. How could the service have been any better?! I did not meet Jeff personally, but I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

The dry wall appeared to me to be above just peeling off the paint because it has gotten into the dry wall. I saw Angie's special on dry wall work and decided to take advantage of it as I expected the dry wall to be replaced. Even if it was less than 4 hours worth of work it still was a good value. I called Jeff Cohn of Cleveland's Best Construction and as I suspected, he had a high volume of work requests with Angie's special. Jeff was very courteous. I believe he was disappointed that I didn't have other work for his company as well but that did not deter him from being helpful after I told him my problem. I told him I was in no hurry and then I flagged my calendar to call him in a couple weeks. In about a week he called back with an appointment for one of his west side crew to come out and do the work. They came out on time (in fact a bit early) and assessed the situation. It turns out the dry wall was not as damaged as I had thought so new dry wall was not required, They replastered, sanded and put a sealant on to protect from further water damage. They did a wonderful job, it looks like new again. They were courteous, meticulous, and cleaned up every scrap of the mess that had been made. I would definitely call Jeff again for work and also recommend him to anyone who needs this type of service.
