Jeff and his guys came by and reviewed the job. He told me that they would tear out and haul away the old ceiling the next day. Then he explained to me what would be done each day until the project was completed. They were on time everyday. They even removed all the tarps covering my Tv and stereo equipment for the weekend , so I could watch the football games and entertain.

I was seriously considering buying a house that needed work and had come down in price, and wanted to find a general contractor who could not only look it over and tell me what was wrong, but who could give me real prices for repairs, and could then do quality work in a timely way for a reasonable price. I wanted a realistic idea of how do-able it was before putting in a contract. Reading the reviews of contractors here, Jeff's company was the one that stood out with consistently high marks, rave reviews, great service, and good prices. So I put in a call on a Tuesday, and Jeff was friendly, professional, and said he was free toward the end of the week to meet me at the house, which was fine. But even better, he called me the next morning when his schedule had an opening and said he could meet me there within the hour if I were free, which I was. I was actually glad to have him come sooner, since the price had dropped substantially, and I was concerned that someone else might snap it up. He met me when he said he would, went through the house and was able to point out the flaws, and gave good estimates and advice. He didn't charge me for the estimate, and wouldn't even take money for gas or for his time. I ultimately decided against buying the house because of some serious structural issues, but would call him again when I do find the right house -- and use him to do the work. He was friendly, easy to deal with, professional, and prompt at returning calls and communicating. I look forward to working with him in the future.

Jeff was responsive to my initial questions about the drywall special. He took time to come and examine the damage, so I asked him to quote a bathroom project and whole house painting. I was quite anxious about finding a reliable contractor for my first remodeling project and relied heavily on his great Angie's List rating. His quotes seemed reasonable and he was patient and responsive as I struggled with freeing my time to schedule three days for the drywall and bathroom work. Once scheduled, the project moved rapidly. He was very prompt and employed two excellent workers. Matthew was skilled with tile and Justin with assisting and painting. I was amazed how quickly they worked; clearly their experience as a team made them so efficient. Their cheerful banter was a "plus." They graciously worked around unexpected problems (wrong toilet and late tile delivery by my big-box supplier). To my amazement, the bulk of the work was completed the first day. It was beautiful workmanship. The painting was wrapped up before noon the next morning. All debris were removed, floors were left clean, carpet was protected, hardware reinstalled. The only surprises were good ones... some supplies provided no-charge, their flexibility, and good natures. Final payment was exactly as quoted. I told each they were welcome in my home any time and I hoped to work with them again in the future. It was the BEST experience, far exceeding my expectations. Their high rating and recognitions are well-deserved. Now, please excuse me while I go into the bathroom for the umpteenth time to gaze at the sublime transformation.

I called CBC after another contractor left the job unfinished. Jeff Cohen the owner arranged to help me out although he was not my original contractor. He and another man came out on a Saturday and installed the tile. He also gave me connections to get the rest of the work done that had also been left unfinished (electrical). For a smaller job, I was impressed with his ability to help me out, no matter how busy they were. The tile is beautiful, they left my house very clean and are a pleasure to work with. Since they came to my rescue and did this small job, I will definitely call them for larger jobs when they arise.

If you need a drywaller look no further. These are your guys! Jason (their dedicated drywaller) did an outstanding job on my 1911 home. He made my old out of square, out of plumb, uneven walled house look new. He is a true master of his craft. He is professional, shows up when he says he will and works hard.

The entire experience was excellent starting from the first phone call. I really feel like they went out of their way to understand the problem and fix it as soon as they could. They did great work, were friendly and professional and everyone involved went out of their way to interact with my kids.

Jeff was excellent to deal with. Responsive, timely and professional which was such a nice surprise for a contractor. The work was done perfectly and he had excellent ideas for other renovations I need to do.

Jeff was very good to deal with from start to finish. He returned my original call quickly, came out on a holiday weekend to give us the estimate, and was very good natured about a delay in scheduling, on our side. He was very friendly and professional, and the pride in his work came through clearly. I would hire him again without hesitation.

They did a great job. Jeff Cohn looked at the damage, quickly figured out the correct, safe solution (insert temporary roof supports, replace undersized beam with proper size, no patchwork or posts in the middle of garage). When Jeff found out the headroom under the larger beam would be reduced by 4 inches, he called us and waited on the phone while I went out and made sure that was OK. The carpenters came about 1/2 hour before the scheduled time and did a neat and thorough job. They took care of all details, such as making sure the overhead doors worked properly after re-attaching tracks to the new beam. They neatly restored and reinforced a large built-in shelf they cut through to install the 20-foot beam in the finished building. They cleaned up thoroughly and were done in less than 1 day. Jeff called afterwards to be sure we were satisfied.

Jeff and his team did a great job with my double/home. I had a ton of drywall/paster work to do and they couldn't have done a better job. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on their house. I was more than happy to hand over the check for almost $5k. Thanks again Jeff! Mike Ray

The house was heavily damaged by a storm in May that completely destroyed the roof and much of the second floor. The flooding that resulted also damaged the master bedroom, the ceiling and walls of which were cracked by the impact. Jeff and Jason came to evaluate the job and provide an estimate. Jason returned and began by tearing out the damaged ceiling. He discovered that the joint between walls and ceiling was bridged by a metal mesh beneath the plaster; he had to cut it out and smooth it over. He then laid fiberglass insulation in what had been the empty space between the ceiling and the upstairs floor, and replaced the old plaster ceiling with drywall. He also smoothed the rough finish on the plaster walls, taping and filling so that all joints were invisible. We provided him with sample paint chips in the colors we wanted used, and he obtained the paint, then painted the ceiling, walls, and trim, leaving the room cleaner than when he found it. He was on the job at 8:00 AM every day, taking only a short break for lunch. I will be using Cleveland's Best Construction for additional work.

He was terrific. He showed up when he said he would, did the work right away and came back and touched it up so it was done to his satisfaction (which was a very high level). I would hire him again for work in my house in a minute.

Jeff did major work on my house after a terrible ice storm in 2009. He installed snow birds to prevent future damage to gutter and roof. Many of the snow birds were damaged during this past winter. I contacted Jeff and told him what had happened. He assured me that he would take care of it as soon as the weather permitted. Without any further reminder calls, he showed up one day and replaced the damaged snow birds and added several others at no additional charge. Now that's what I call excellent prompt service! He does quality work and backs up his work. I would highly recommend him and would use him again in the future.

Jeff Cohen and Cleveland?s Best did an outstanding remodeling job for our home. We are happy to give them our highest recommendation. Jeff took on our job with less than 1 week?s notice, and went beyond what was expected by rearranging his schedule to complete all items within our one week time constraint. We had to leave town in 1 week, and instead of pushing jobs out over 2-3 weeks, he made the extra effort to finish everything in time before we had to leave. He and Eric, his helper, were very friendly and professional. He provided an estimate upfront with very fair prices that did not change through the course of the work. The completed jobs looked wonderful, and were done with very high quality craftsmanship. In our opinion, what separates Jeff Cohen from others the most is the outstanding service he provides. He was very friendly to be around, and readily answered all our questions. He responded to calls quickly, notified us daily when he would be by, and always arrived promptly. He was also exceptionally helpful by providing us the names and contacts for other reputable professionals who helped us handle other projects around our home. He and Eric even did a couple of small tasks such as replacing a piece of fallen siding free of charge. Perhaps most memorably, Jeff won over our 6 year old daughter by bringing donuts by for breakfast on several occasions. He left a lasting impression on her and us! We highly recommend Jeff Cohen and Cleveland?s Best to our friends and others in need of home repairs and remodeling, and we will definitely call on him in the future to help us with our needs again!

Jeff did an excellent job. He went extra mile to paint areas that were not in the initial job description.

Jeff met with us ( I think it was the same day I called, or maybe the next) and talked over what we wanted done in our bathroom. He gave us an estimate promptly, and told us that it might be about 10 weeks before he could get to us if we decided on him. Once we made our decision to have him do the job (about a week) he sent us a contract by email to look over. I talked to him the day after replying with any questions we had, which he answered for me. He let us know what materials we needed to get . All were things we needed to pick out ourselves so it was no problem. Jeff then let us know he could start the work the next monday. We were pleasantly surprised that he could fit us in so quickly . He had his electrician in the next day to put in the new outlet, that was done in about 20 minutes. He and his plumber ,and tile guy were there at 7:45 on monday and had the whole bath done except for the grout by 5pm that day. Jeff came back the next morning and finished the grout. It looks great, and everything now works!! All the men were friendly and professional, and very tolerant of my husband who watched most of the day. :) Jeff is a great guy and did an awesome job for us. Doesn't hurt that he is also very funny! We are exceptionally pleased with the work that was done for us and would highly recommend Cleveland's Best Construction LLC. They are on the top of our list for any work on our home!!!

Returned my phone call promptly. Jeff was able to fit me into an opening in his schedule the next day. Arrived 5 minutes early! He was courteous and professional. Took him about 20-25 minutes to repair. Cleaned up afterwards. Charged me less than I expected. Will definitely use him again -- and recommend him to others.

He was very prompt and responsive in handling the small issues that came up during his work. He was extremely professional and tried to be as helpful as possible. The kitchen remodeling work took far less time than we had anticipated, and even less time than he had estimated before he started! We strongly recommend him, and will likely use him again.

Overall it went very good with this company his prices are not very high like other companies. I will use this company to do my work.

Fantasitic! I would recommend Cleveland's best to everyone. it was so non-invasive, clean. jeff Cohn is a really nice guy who is efficient, tidy and does excellent work. He was very accommodating and used our plumber, Bill Conti who is also a member of Angie's list. Jeff also told us where to pick up the tile and flooring and made sure we got his contractor discount. When I couldn't pick up the paint in time, he drove over to get it. He also discovered the color wasn't right on the bullnose and rather than put it up he ordered the correct bullnose had it delivered the next day, returned the defiective bullnose and made sure we were reimbursed for it. Jeff really goes the extra mile while doing a top notch job. He is a real gem.

As always, Jeff's response was prompt with the bid and he began work actually one week earlier than originally planned. It took only 3 days to complete, and would have been less except the layers had to dry. His subs know their crafts, are friendly and easy to work with, cleaning up every day. Jeff returned immediately when we found one spot that needed touch up. During his work I asked him about another, unrelated repair project, looking for references to call. He told me how to repair it myself and gave me the list of materials I would need. However, the next day I found that instead, he had repaired the problem for me, at no extra cost.

It went extremely well overall. I am very satisfied with my new lights. They look great. I would definitely highly recommend Cleveland's Best if you need any electrical work. They were very professional and efficient.

I originally contacted Jeff because I needed some electrical work done in rather short notice (I was going out of town). Jeff kept in constant communication with me and was able to get the work done the same week!!
