Description of Work: I called on a Sunday evening because my dishwasher was leaking water all over my floor. I left a message and Art called back a short time later. He had me check inside to see if there was dripping from the valve, and he diagnosed the problem immediately. He told me to turn off the water under the kitchen sink. He made an appointment to come the next afternoon, and got the parts needed in advance to replace the faulty valve as well as the pulley system in the door that was already broken. He was on time, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. The dishwasher works great!!

Description of Work: Our refrigerator was not working. Art diagnosed the problem very quickly and replaced the computer board in the back of the refrigerator. We were pleased with the courteous and prompt service. He explained why our situation was a common problem with refrigerators backed into a cubby hole. Thanks to his advice we will now keep adequate space behind the refrigerator.

Description of Work: My dryer was over-heating. He replaced the unit after he was sure it was that and nothing else.

Description of Work: Art came out to repair my washer, which was not draining or spinning. He was very knowledgeable and his price was reasonable. In fact, instead of taking us for all he could get, he actually gave us an option that saved us a ton of money and fixed the problem. From here on out I'll be calling him for all of my large appliance repair needs.

Description of Work: A & S is rated well on Angie's List and I needed the problem with my clothes dryer diagnosed and repaired (or replaced). Art Freeman, the owner, returned my call promptly, asked some questions about the problem, the type of dryer, and set an appointment for him to come to my house. Art arrived when he said he would, was professionally friendly, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. First time after the repair that I used the dryer, it stopped working. I called Art and he came back to check the dryer. A simple fix....no charge and my dryer is working well. Art will be my first call with any appliance problems.

Description of Work: We called Al because our freezer stopped working. Al arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed our problem. He told us approximately what it would cost. We also had stopped using our ice maker, because it was leaking and we thought it had something to do with the water line. Al advised it was the icemaker itself, so we asked him to order a new one for us. While there, we also asked him to look at our Advantium oven....we had been having some problems with it as well. He advised he thought it was the "computer" in it, and ordered us a new one. I was not able to be home when he did the repair, but felt totally comfortable having him in our home when we were not there. We came home to find our freezer, icemaker and Advantium all working! The cost was less than we expected. We are now having a problem with our dishwasher and have called Al again. (Yeah, all of these appliances are the same vintage, so go figure they would all stop working at the same time!). We would highly recommend A & S to anyone - we think Al not only knows what he is doing, but he is honest and prompt.

Description of Work: I live in Colorado, the refrigerator which needed repair is Florida. It's not easy lining up repair people from afar. Art was great, he was pleasant to work with and did the job at a very reasonable price and when scheduled. The only thing that was a bit tricky was the payment. He doesn't invoice, so the job needed to be paid on the spot. My renters did not mind paying him and I sent them a check immediately. All worked out. Would definitely use him again for any large appliance. Jerry

Description of Work: I had a broken dryer. No heat, and no advancing of the timer switch. One call was all it took! ART asked several diagnostic questions on that first call to rule out any simple fix I could do myself. After he determined that I had done all I could, i.e.: flip breakers, etc. we set up an appointment for the next morning. He was on time, professional, friendly and went right to work. He arranged to get the parts I needed (a switch and a heating element) and installed them the next day. All in all my experience was A+++. ART claims he is also a handyman for more than just appliances. A jack of all trades when it comes to home repair. I will absolutely keep him in mind for future work around my home.
