A & S Appliance Repair

I emailed A and S Appliance on a Friday afternoon. I received an email right back to setup a date and time to come out. The owner also called me and we discussed the issue with our Whirlpool washer. The owner called me an hour prior to heading to my home (always appreciated). The owner arrived on time and explained the diagnostics the machine can do and then troubleshot the issue. It turns out the issue was a bad capacitor that controls the motor and is one of the few parts that can go bad that the diagnostics will not report. The part was ordered and the was replaced in a matter of minutes a day later. The price for two house calls was extremely reasonable. The owner does the work himself and has a great deal of experience and knowledge. In Florida, it's like finding gold when you finally find a service provider that is so knowledgeable, professional, personable and priced very reasonably. A and S Appliance Repair is gold in a sea of poor to mediocre repair service providers.

Called Wednesday morning when refrigerator stopped cooling. Arrived that afternoon to fix it. Unfortunately the part needed was not in his stock. He was able to provide a temporary fix until the part was to arrive Thursday. The part was accidentally sent to Jacksonville rather then Tampa and so repair was delayed until Friday. He came over Friday and installed the part and refilled the Freon. Great service, totally recomment A and S Appliance Repair.

Came on weekend and saved food that was thawing out, drove from Plant City quickly.

It was beyond repair so he only charged for the visit.

Art is knowledgeable, prompt, efficient, and personable. He diagnosed the issue with my dryer in our initial call and came prepared with the new parts. Art is easy with work with. He arrived as scheduled. Great experience overall. I would definitely call him on any other large appliance issues.

Arrived on time. Check out the entire dryer. Confirmed there were no issues with the unit. cleaned out around the motor and vents. Corrected crimping in the exhaust vent..

I called and he was able to make it out to my house within a few hours. He correctly guessed my problem before even getting to the house, and picked up the parts on the way. After looking over the washer, he confirmed what he was thinking, and found a few more items that he was also able to adjust to make it even run better. This was our first appliance repair not in warranty. I will definitely call him next time one goes out. Thanks again for saving us needing to replace the unit.

Art came out (on schedule) and inspected the problem. It was one of those scenario's where the problem wasn't happening while he was there. Art asked tons of questions so that he could diagnose the issue. His experience allowed him to accurately diagnose the problem without it happening in front of him. He ordered the part while he was at our house and scheduled his return. He returned on schedule and fixed the problem. The whole process went as well as could be expected. I'll definitely use Art again.

Outstanding. He inspected every inch of the machine and walked me through the process. He said the leak was likely caused by a build up of residue inside the door which prevented the door from sealing properly. He suggested a thorough cleaning using a Brillo pad and more frequent cleaning inside the rubber piece as well. He really seemed to enjoy the process of educating customers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Art Freeman for any type of appliance repair.

My experience with A & S repair was very good. I had a problem that could have easily been very costly for me but Art was very honest, helpful and professional which saved me from needlessly paying for a very costly repair. I will definitely call A & S repair again in the future for any appliance repairs that we may have.

It went perfect. He gave me a two hour window for arrival and he arrived early. He had a replacement part with him. Installed the new part, tested the dishwasher and away he went. Prompt, professional, congenial. will certainly call him again for any large appliance maintenance needs.

Art was courteous in explaining the problem, even cleaned the lint and shortened the lint tube to help prevent future heat build up and damage to the control unit again.

Great! A and S Appliance Repair is our "go to" for any appliance repairs we need now. This was about as painless as it could get to fix a malfunctioning freezer. We found A and S Appliance Repair on Angie's List and chose it because it was closest to us with stellar ratings. The owner (I assume), Art Freeman. initially said he would come out early the next day, and then called back about an hour later and said he was free, so he came over about 30 minutes later. That put him here a little after 5 in the afternoon (no emergency fee, though). My impression was that Art was positive, friendly, helpful, and professional. My husband had the most contact with him, though. When Art left, my husband said that I should go on Angie's List and give him the highest rating possible. Art is prompt and responsive, he's professional, he knows what he's doing, and his price is reasonable. Payment was quick and easy via Paypal. We joined Angie's List today to find someone good. I'm very happy with both A and S Appliance Repair and Angie's List.

I had to wait for the part to come in but Art called as promised and arrived right on time. I am very pleased with his work ethic and quality service. Had to recall Art to come back on the 3rd when the refrigerator stopped working again. Unfortunately, Art was on vacation and the person who he left to cover his calls could not come to my house until Monday. Another 3 day wait with no refrigerator. Art came again, filled it again with freon, checked everything out again. He said if the leak was in a coil in the door he could not fix it but if I had another problem to call him. Well, again it lost the cooling. So, I have bought a new refrigerator and a 5 year service agreement. It's getting delivered tomorrow. Art refunded the majority of the money I had paid him. He is a very honest and fair businessman.

Called A and S Appliance Repair spoke with Art and explained my problem. He asked my location and laughed as he had just left my area about 45mins ago. Offered to walk me through a quick test so he can determine probable cause of issue. He immediately determined the issue gave a rough estimate after I gave him model of the unit. I did some further testing and called him back and explained my findings. He gave options about part order and repair time. I asked home much for him just to come out then he said something was not expecting. He said send me your address and I will be there. Mind you this was a 4:15pm on a Friday afternoon and he had let my area now an hour ago. I was expecting him to push me off to Saturday or even Monday. Now no fridge for that long as you can guess is not good. Art got here in quick fashion and look over the fridge and saw the fan was the culprit after all. He was very professional with his assessment walking me through the entire process explaining each step of the way. He was even able to replace the part with a new one he had, so no waiting for parts delaying the process. Family and I were extremely grateful with his honesty and friendliness. I?ll definitely use him again for any future appliance repair.

Art was prompt in replying to initial contact and his service was a continuation of his great service. He ordered the part he thought most likely was at fault and placed that order. He set up an appointment for the repair based on when the part would arrive (next day) and was on time - completed the job in a timely manner. I will gladly use A & S again if needed.

Art showed on time. He checked the dishwasher and discovered the computer was also bad putting the repair for both the pump and the computer at over $400.00. He said he could do the repair if I wanted but if it was his decision he would replace the dishwasher. That was what we decided to do. Art lost out on labor income by recommending replacement but he thought that was the best option.

I contacted Art from the reviews off Angie's List. He said that we were a little outside his normal area, but to give him a call and he would help figure out what was wrong. He returned emails quickly and was upfront that we were not in his area but he would still try to help! Called yesterday and away we went, after a little confusion on my part, bad electrical diagram reading skills, i sent a email to him of the diagram I was looking at. A few minutes later he called me back and said "see the thermal limiter on the white wire? Thats your problem." It was, needed to get a new thermal limiter. I am putting it back together and it is all good. Great customer service, fast replies and a nice guy! My only disappointment, is that he does not come out to where I live!! I would have him service any of my appliances!

Art called to say he could be early. He showed up on time, fixed the refrigerator which had been leaking pretty bad and told us to call if we had any other problems. We were very happy with the timely service and the quality. Would definitely recommend him to others.
