In my opinion, the front office staff and paralegals at Troiano & Roberts are unfriendly, unprofessional and unwilling to help people in need of legal services. I was recently married, and my new wife wanted to add me to the title of her house. I work across the street from the Troiano offices. They advertise as being Real Estate attorneys. I walked over there three times over a six week period attempting to make an appointment. The first two times someone named Debbie said she would call me back with the appointment. She never called me to set it up. The third time I walked over, I finally met her face-to-face in the front office. She wouldn't let me set an appointment because my wife wasn't there with me (what?!), she would not let me make an appointment for my wife to come in (what ?!!), and she just refused the work to modify the title (why?). I was speechless. She recommended I take it to William Sweat (another Real Estate attorney, about 10 minutes away). That is what my wife and I did. Within the hour we both drove to Mr. Sweat's office, established what we wanted to do, agreed on a price, and they did exactly what was necessary. His staff did it quickly, politely, andsmiled the whole time. That is all we wanted. To pay a legal expert to fix a small thing. I have not met any of the litigators in the Troiano offices so I cannot comment on their capabilities. I couldn't get past the front office staff.I would also mention that I wrote a nice letter to Mr. V. Troiano advising him of this issue (since his name is on the door--- not Debbie's), and (cynically) thanking him for having Debbie on his staff. Her advice sending me to Mr. Sweats office was very valuable, directing me to an attorney whose staff actually cares about people and generates revenue for the office. I thought it would generate an apology, but I never heard back from him, so I guess the attitude is endemic to the office. Or he never got it? -hmmm- Well, they may be fine litigators, but I will never know. I will never use them again. But that is just my opinion.
Description of Work: I went in the office three times to make an appointment. They took my name, and said 'Debbie' would call me back. She never did. I had to walk over there, meet with 'Debbie' in person just to get her attention. And she refused to help me. I could not believe it. I have owned a dozen homes and had more than one wife over the years, and I have never heard of an attorney turning down money or turning away business. And this was a one hour/$300 issue. Needless to day, no money changed hands. I did do as Debbie suggested, and went to Atty. William Sweat and had the service performed there. I suggest you do the same.
