Terminix - Tampa -Termite & Pest Control

We have been using them for about 10 years now. They do fine and they show up on time. The technicians are fine and they do what they need to do.

I have Terminix. I have never had any problems with Terminix, I never have any bugs. They come every 3 months. I've had Terminix since I moved to Florida. I have 3 house's, 2 rental house's, and I use Terminix on everyone of them. They are good. They do a nice job, the man always cleans up. He takes down any bees nest's, he gets rid of everything.

Originally called to purchase a pest control service as soon as possible for an older home we had just purchased. While customer service on the phone was good the actual communication with the technician lacked and caused unneeded frustration. I was supposed to receive a call to schedule an appointment on two separate instances and while service technicians came out for each instance I was never called and an appointment was never made. Needless to say I was not home in either incident. They couldn't really explain why I was not getting called but I wasn't waiting around for a 3rd time. I can't review the actual service because I couldn't get any communication at all as to when they would be out. Decided to go with a local company.

Terrible... To date this policy is a complete sham and I don't know that they have even been treating the house or how would it get that bad.

I purchased a home approximately 6 months ago. It was tented 3 years ago and has damage from a previous infestation. I called terminix to inquire about prevention strategies. They stated I needed to have an inspection (at no cost) after which, options would be disused. The termite inspector (sales representative actually) arrived on time. The inspector stated that I had an active infestation and that I had to treat for drywood and subterranean termites. He gave a presentation that involved pictures of termites and recommended doing treatment as quickly as possible cost: $2,528.00. I told the representative I would need to think about it and get a second opinion at which time he reminded me that "while you're waiting, the termites are eating". I called (and paid this time) for another company to perform a termite inspection. They found no evidence of any active infestation. The free inspection terminix provides seems to be more of a sales pitch than an actual evaluation. I would recommend getting an independent inspection from an honest company before signing any papers with terminix.

Can't comment on the work and knowledge of the service guy because he never contacted us to cancel or to let us know that he was running behind. He just didn't keep his appointment time and didn't feel the need to contact us. A company is only as good as their people....didn't leave a favorable impression but a bitter taste in our mouth. Will not use again.

Terminix has been treating my house for termites for the past 7 years. Everytime we call to set up an appointment, someone has to call us back, which happens about 50% of the time. I generally have to call 1-2 times just to set up an appointment, it is extremely frustrating. Twice they have sent out someone to do an 'inspection', when the were supposed to come out and 'treat' a specific area, well? taking time off work is next to impossible for me - so you could imagine my disappointment when they arrive just to walk around my house to chit-chat. To this day, we still have termites. I am canceling my service with them today, because yet again, no one has called me back and it has been a week. The Positive: the service employees they send out are always polite, efficient and professional.

The price just keeps on going up. You got to push them up for them to come out. I don't like the tone and their price kept going up and I said I would try somebody else. I like that the job was done and it was good. They have good service but the cost factor; they're needed to watch.

Tented my home. They left my garage entry door open. I was away during this time but my home alarm is monitored by my iphone. I contacted them ( with great difficulty) and two days later, they closed my door. They lost my house keys and after 6 weeks had to get my locks changed. They never turned my AC units back on as stipulated at time of payment. They damaged my roof / chimney caps. All very badly mangled. After months of Better business bureau dealings, they agreed to replace them. Well, they hammered them straighter and tried to pass them off as "new", but I refused them. ( they looked so bad). They they came back with new ones and had their Terminix employees go up and install them. At the first rain after installation, I had flood down my chimney. Now I am told I need over $3000 chimney chase replacement. I believe they use "fear" to sell their product. I believe they are out to make a buck and are very unprofessional, reckless and unethical. I would NOT use they EVER again. Please beware of them and use someone else.

It took 2 days longer than promised, and they didn't advise us when it was safe to move back into the home. We ended up staying an extra day in a motel.

The pros: 1. They inspected and found drywood termites and recommended tenting. 2. They were very responsive to my requests for reschedule of service. 3. Very courteous on the phone. 4. Reasonably priced annual contract renewal. The cons: 1. When you call you cannot get answers immediately. Takes 1-3 days for somebody to call you back from the correct department. 2. I was visited several days in advance by a courteous employee who dropped off nylon bags for bagging foodstuffs. I was informed I could return to my house on a Saturday - no time given. 3. I was told I would have to trench around my house for the sand snakes they use to hold the tent. This service is normally provided by other exterminators as part of overall service. Oh, I'm 69 years of age. 4. They dug several holes for dirt to secure what appears to be areas of sand snakes. They did NOT refill them. 5. On the day I returned (Saturday) I found my house plastered with 'do not enter - poison gas'. Called the 800 number and was told I was not on the 'list' til later in the day (nobody told me that). I left my cell number for contact with a request to call when I could return. 6. At 5 p.m. I called the 800 number and they conferenced with a tech who said he called earlier. HE CALLED THE HOUSE I COULD NOT ENTER! 7. When I pressed the garage opener the garage door would not open. Entered through front door and released the electronic lock. Tried again and the door jammed. They had secured the door with a bolt that goes through the roller frame. I NEVER use that and did not think to look. When I released the bolt the door now sticks and makes a racket - aka service call to fix. 8. When you go on-line to their website to do a 'contact us on a service or concern' you get an automatic acceptance of telemarketing calls - NOT! Conclusion: If you need your house tented, call somebody else.

I agreed to the services provided including rat exclusion, attic sanitizing, insulation removal/replacement, the same day I discovered the rats in the attic. After signing the contracts, I made a call for a second opinion and realized I'd made a mistake in getting services I really didn't need. The sales staff worked with me to reduce costs and I cancelled the insulation replacement part of the contract. This service is not cheap, I will not use Terminix again if I have a rat problem. I do use them for exterior pest/bug control and have the termite bond, I'm happy with those products.

Supposedly did our quarterly treatment but we have been having more bug issues over the last year. When they came my wife was leaving to drop my son at baseball practice which is 2 minutes away, when she got back within 5 minutes he was already gone and there is no way the service was performed. And now I wonder how often this has been going on.

It didn't go well at all. It was several years back and I just had a lot of trouble with them. I had 2 different contracts: 1 is for the house termites and another 1 was for the outside and that outside was really expensive, they get hammered me to redid that one and I didn't want to. They never ask me about the inside one and when I realize of having been there I said no because we will have insurance on that and by saying that, they already came but I had termites in my house. It was a mess and they didn't cover it. The price is very expensive.

I did some research around the technique that they use and followed up on it. It turned out that they were accurate. I have been using them for my home service for years and now for termite. By just judging them by their veracity of their research and their technique it looked like they were prepared to do so. Their knowledge and skill level was impressive. They are fairly able to work around my schedule which is of pretty good.

The experience with them is good. They are always on time, they come and do the job.

We.ve been using Twerminix for years for termite and pest prevention / elimination. Excellent results.

We have no serious bug problem of any sort in our house. We had one problem where they said they were going to have to come in the house so my husband took of from work. Then they canceled the appointment so it was a waste of my husband's time. I complained to the company and no one higher up apologized. I do not have a termite contract with them.

The Terminix Inspector was on time, professional, courteous and answered all my questions. This is also true of the Terminix Service Professionals.

Terminix has been my termite prevention service for many years. I have never had an active termite problem so cannot comment on the execution of their guarantee in the case of and active infestation. My only issue with them arose as a result of selling the residence. I had purchased an annual agreement in March and sold the home in May. I called to cancel and was told my request for a prorated refund would be forwarded to the corporate offices. I received a call from a person in their finance office saying they did not provide refunds. I found this unacceptable and escalated but had great difficulty in getting through to the local office where the decision would have to be made. Just this week I was finally contacted by Steve, a manager in the local office who apologized for the delay and agreed to provide me with a pro-rated refund. I consider this a closed case now and am satisfied with the result.

I have been using Terminix for years. They come out every 6 months and they send a card or I receive phone call to let me know when they are coming. They are very professional and I will continue to use them.

They were to come out every year to my home, because it needed some tenting. I have a pool with a cage around it and they told me that it was my responsibility to take that down; I was not able to. So they cancelled my membership with them and I have been with them for 10 years.

What I like about them is the results of their service. If you want to get rid of bugs, get Terminix. You get what you pay for.
