PRESTIGE POOLS & SPAS

I called a number of pool companies on the list from Angie. Some got back while others didn't respond at all. Prestige did respond. I had to hear the typical sales pitch of how long they have been in business, what they can do for me, etc. I just wanted to get begin a design and get working on the pool. I was very upfront to tell the salesperson that I would be getting 3 quotes and I would give them the opportunity since my first impression with them was good. I had an issue with moving my AC unit outside in which I was told they had an experienced team to move them. An experienced team means you have a full time certified HVAC team to move my units? Well no, we have an electrician to move them. I am sorry, I work with HVAC guys, electricians and even the HVAC customers that I know well said I shouldn't have just an electrician move them. Plus, this company was going to move the units without going and making sure with the county that we could. Overall I had to get a variance to move them and I am having a professional HVAC company come out and do the move. I was fair, I let this company know that their price was way too high and I was told to "name my price" and they would beat anyone. Really? Why didn't you ask me my price in the first place knowing you were going to have 2 other companies bidding for the job?? I did go with the competitor and I am so happy I did. Prestige was at a tradeshow where I ran into the salesperson again. He wanted to know if I made my decision and why? I told hm that there were too many mistakes made and I felt as though he was just looking for a sale. The competitor has taken the steps, communication and care to walk me through each step of getting the correct permits and team to begin construction.

They always do a good job and I am very pleased with them. The staff is very courteous and professional. They are very good at returning phone calls. I haven't run into any problems since I have done business with them.
