One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating

I scheduled 6 month preventive service for today 9/6/24 between 8-noon. Just called at 12:30 & was told service has been canceled because no one answered my phone to confirm that the tech was on his way. I have been up since 7:30 am in my living room with the phone next to me. No one called me, they lied to me.I have zero recourse & will have to call another company to do the service & I'll have to pay them. I belonged to the "service club" and had paid $20 a month to insure this service for today would be free. Suffice to say I do not recommend ever using this company!

I was a little distressed about the charges they made, I pay an annual charge but that did not match with what they charged. You never know who you are getting from appointment to appointment.

I would never recommend to my enemy, One Hour Air Conditioning. They were trying to charge me for things I didn't even need. First of all, the air conditioner went out. It was the capacitor and I knew that. But later, a friend of mine who is retired said that thing only costs $20 wholesale and they charged $300 for it. Then they tried to sell me a $547 fan motor and I said no, just do that. But then I had another company come out and they said it wasn't the fan, it was the accumulator that drives the fluid system, you know, the 124A. They don't use freon any more. So a friend of mine who used to do commercial air conditioning and refrigeration, was telling me he now is going to do residential, so I had him look at it. He goes there's nothing wrong with your air conditioner at all - nowhere. Everything's working perfect, it's cooling correctly, it's cycling correctly, the right measurement of coolant is in the system, and there was not one single thing whatsoever wrong with mine. So basically the other two companies were trying to get me for $600 and $1,200. One Hour Air Conditioning is an F. I would never even recommend them to people I hate. This was work that didn't actually need to be done. There's a difference between somebody giving you a bad estimate or somebody that you don't like their work, or for work that absolutely does not need to be done, ever. That's ripping you off. So it's not that they did a bad job or you didn't really like their stuff; they're ripping you off. They're trying to charge you for something you don't need. It's a whole different ballgame than somebody doing bad work. That guy's a professional; he knows what he's telling you is a lie. They were fast; they did come out within an hour. Their name stands for itself - that's the best I can do.

They come every six months. They seem to know a lot about air conditioners. They are very customer service oriented. They come out quickly. I would highly recommend them. I like their responsiveness. They are very good at getting somebody out if you have problems. They are good at listening to what's going on. The people they send are great, friendly, professional and seem to be knowledgeable. They leave the house clean and don't leave a mess. It takes them about a half hour.
