This posting is a factual statement regarding Timothy Huff DBA Huff Enterprises. Mr. Huff and I entered into a contract for work to be performed on a duplex I own. Mr. Huff requested 1/2 payment up front on each scope of work (written contract) that we had. He also continued to ask for two other advanced payments due to financial issues he was going through. A trusting person, I provided the requested advances. Mr. Huff promised a specific ending date and the ending date passed by approximately two months. After not showing for work for a week Mr. Huff quit. He was overpaid for the amount of work performed and much of the work performed was below normal standards resulting in having to hire another company to fix a number of things he did. Mr. Huff was informed he was overpaid and a refund was requested. Mr. Huff refused. I had to resort to pursuing the issue in small claims court. On Jan 10th the judge ruled in my favor. To date Mr. Huff owes me in excess of $3,200 and, to date, has still not paid. Judgment can be verified by going to http://www.polkcountyclerk.net/ and searching Civil Records online. Enter case #2012SC-003206-0000-00. (plus photo of judgment is attached) Issues with work performed: After laying 1.5 rooms of tile 17 tiles easily popped up. 3 of the windows he installed leaked. Plumbing for bath shower was incorrectly installed. Electrical connections in attic had no electrical tape or wire connectors (they were held together with painters tape). The finish on the drywall was horrific. The list goes on. Additionally I had to get the Florida Licensing agency involved as Mr. Huff presented myself as having a license. He is NOT licensed and was not licensed when he worked for me. ***Mr. Huff is attempting to deny these allegations and is stating the judgment is for an individual "Timothy Ray Huff" and not for Huff Enterprises LLC. I am updating this post to include a copy of one of the contracts we had which reflect the work performed was indeed performed by Huff Enterprises and Timothy Ray Huff.
