Hagwood Construction & Restoration

Two months ago (~February time frame) we had a storm come through and the window leaked in the exact same area. I called Hagwood Construction and received no response.

The quality of work was acceptable, but communication, respect, punctuality, and overall experience was awful. We gave our first down payment in August, and just paid the final payment today..Feb. 13. According to Jeff, our job would take 2-3 days at most. Times were scheduled for work, and no one showed up or called. It was very frustrating, and would never recommend his company.

My father was a contractor who specialized in trim work. I never thought I'd find another contractor as skilled and especially as motivated as Jeff. This man works nonstop to get the job done. He took a unusually small job as a favor to me. Holy cow! I cannot believe the work this man did! It's incredible! He worked throughout the night for two nights to get the job done in a hurry for us. If you need ANY build outs, remodels, etc, do yourself a favor and call Jeff. You will NOT be disappointed! Quality craftsmanship at its best!!!

Overall it was a big mistake to hire an inexperienced person. Multiple mistakes reading and communicating details of plans to sub-contractors. Little first-hand supervision and he did not check the work of sub-contractors as required by contract. Painting has to be completed/redone, tile work has to be repaired, doors were never adjusted after installation. Did not followup with sub-contractors who did not complete work. Did not complete trim work he personally committed to do. Failed to meet contract deadlines.
