Gifford Roofing, LLC

Ron Gifford of Gifford Roofing was contracted by our home warranty company to provide an estimate for a roof leak repair. He scheduled and appointment for Wed. April 2, 2014 at 7:30 AM. Although, I waited at home all day, he never showed up. At 8:30 PM I finally reached Mr. Gifford and he said he "forgot our information at home". Over the next days, I left several messages in an attempt to reschedule. My calls were never returned. On Friday evening my husband finally reached Mr Gifford. He said he didn't get our messages as he "never checks his voicemail" - that's a quote. We rescheduled - at 8:00 AM the following morning. He did arrive did but not bring a ladder and had to borrow ours to inspect the roof. A roofer without a ladder? (Not sure what would have happened if we didn't have one...) When he was finished, he said he would contact the home warranty company on Monday with an estimate. Both my husband and I specifically asked him what we owed him for his inspection and if he wanted a check or cash. Mr. Gifford made it clear that we would pay him upon completion of the job. Imagine our SHOCK, when the home warranty company called Monday to say our claim had been SUSPENDED because we refused to pay Mr. Gifford! That was a complete lie! Additionally, his estimate was $1,200.00 for a $500 repair! Since then, I discovered Gifford Roofing has a "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau. It is my opinion that Gifford Roofing is unreliable and dishonest. Please beware of doing business with Gifford Roofing.
