Southern Sky Painting

We had worked with Southern Sky on smaller jobs twice before, both times with outstanding results. This time we needed to have the exterior of our house painted. Southern Sky did a fantastic job. They arrived when they said they would, prepared everything very carefully, did a wonderful job with all of the surfaces, and cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished. The entire job took three days. Their crew was friendly and accommodating. We definitely will continue go to Southern Sky whenever we need painting.

Awesome service. They called me back within MINUTES of submitting the request for quote. We didn’t hire them only because the HOA painted the fence before we could get Southern Sky to do it for us. Excellently!!! I love it! It looks better than I imagined it would. Suggestions were made that I appreciated. I took a picture of the house and sent it to all of my friends locally and around the country. The responses were "Beautiful!", Gorgeous!" After meetings I attend are adjourned, I rave about the wonderful job done by Southern Sky and give out their number.

I had a great team of workers led by Adriano. It was a pleasure to have him in my home. His entire crew love their job. If you love attention to detail, like I do.. you will not be sorry you used this company to put new life into your home. My home looked like it was back in the 80s....now its up-to-date!

The workers were professional and neat. They cleaned up so well there was little for us to do upon the completion of the job. We are completely satisfied and intend to hire Southern Sky again. I should also mention that the company's owner and staff were very responsive to any questions or needs.

Southern Sky did a great job painting our ceilings. The previous paint job was at least 15+ years ago and there were a few water marks, cracks, and peeling paint around the AC vents. Ken and Daniel arrived on time and were very friendly. My mom is pretty much housebound so I was worried how she would take to having strangers in the house, and concerned that she would be in the way. But they were both very courteous and made sure to get her bedroom painted first so she would have a place to hang out while they finished the rest of the house. This was very much appreciated. They were both very detailed and clean. Southern Sky's price was very competitive with some other estimates I received, but I chose them based on their reviews here on Angie's List. I wasn't disappointed and they're highly recommended.

They came out, looked at the job and then emailed me a proposal. It was rain very heavy the day we scheduled the painting, so I call an they were able to give me another day later that week. The painter was very professional, explained everything he was going to do, answered all my questions, did a great job and cleaned up nicely. I woud definitely hire them again!

Everything went smoothly with booking the job up until the "final walkthrough." The gentleman who came over two (2) days before beginning the work rudely stated the walls were in the "worst condition he's ever seen." We live in a gated community in central Boca Raton, not Lantana. I find that impossible to believe. He also said he refused to affiliate his name with this job. I'm sorry that a 3,000 sq ft home in central Boca is beneath you. The walls had already been painted prior to the previous owners listing the home, we wanted another paint job before moving in. I would not recommend these folks to paint a dog house, let alone my house. It's apparent another larger job came their way and our project wasn't financially advantageous. Unprofessional doesn't even scratch the surface.

The project started off well. The furst crew who removed the poporn were awesome. From there on, it wasn't so pleasant. There was knowdown on my leather couch and chair. None of the furniture was put back. There was dust everywhere as well as wallpaper pieces. They took and used one of my husbands long screwdrivers for something to with paint because it had paint all over it and was left on my dining room table cloth, therefore leaving paint on that too. There were areas that weren't painted and areas of imperfections. Light fixtures and smoke detectors weren't replaceed as well as hidden! It took us a few days to find where they had placed them. Sherry was apologetic and sent people to try and correct things, however, there were missed appointments by them and date resceduling numerous times. I wasted several days off only to be stood up. Each time, Sherry was very apologetic and polite, but that really didnt help much when things kept fslling througb the cracks. A business should not be run like this! Things did finally end up getting fixed. We ended up settling the bill for less than the original contract and chose not to let them paint the interior.

Excellent service--professional crew especially the foreman Adriano, who was a masterful painter- responsive, on time within budget. I recommend them highly and as an interior designer myself I am very discriminating.

Very professional. They worked favorably with me on contract terms, then showed up on time and performed great work, despite having some difficult materials to work with for the doors in particular. Everything looks great.

Southern Sky Painting was responsive, reasonable and professional. As weather was an issue at the time, the work had to be delayed for a week, a time we would be out of town. Nonetheless, they scheduled and performed the work while we were gone. When we returned, we found the trellis neat, clean and looking spiffy (or as spiffy as a trellis can look). We are grateful that they were able to do the work in our absence and invoice us for payment upon our return. Very happy with their work and will use them again!

EXCELLENT, the guys were on time and got the job done in less than 2 days. The painting team was lead by Adriano who was great, did everything I asked. The guys kept the place clean while painting and cleaned after as well.

They were very good. I liked them very much.They were friendly, efficient, competent, and professional. The whole thing stood out to me. They had a sizable crew. They were efficient with their billing. Their quote was a very fair price. The painters were professional, they did a fine job. I think they did it in one day, which it was an occupied unit, so it saved the stress of the tenants and a lot of stress from having people come back. So, I think it was done in one day. It was just a good job and everyone was happy.

It went very well. I inspected areas and asked if they could touch up areas and try to fix some minor mistakes (a paint dropping that needed to be sanded; missed patching; another coat of paint). Minor things given the job assignment. They listened to my concerns and addressed them professionally. I do think the tape repair could have been better; however, I think it may require cutting out the area and starting from scratch. That would have been way too expensive. They did do a good job. I'm of the opinion that there's no such thing as a perfect paint job. Things inevitably get missed or minor mistakes happen. You rely on steady hands and an observant eye. Jim and his son were responsive to my requests and were professional. On day two they had to deal with listening to my two toddlers and never seemed frustrated or annoyed. The drywall staff did a great job. Bob, the owner, let me know ahead of time that the knockdown would not match exactly. Well, it looks very good and seamless to me. Bob visited me all three days to see how things were going. He asked that I check the place before they finish up to make sure the work I wanted done was done. The customer service provided by Sherry was great. I called several times and she was responsive and patient with my duplicative questions. I'm sure I'll be using Southern Sky in the future.

From start to finish all went smoothly. Prompt appointment, quick turnaround time to receive our estimate. Painters were careful, cleaning up daily. House looks great!!!!!!

The person that came out to my house to provide the quote just wasn't very -- I don't know if it wasn't personable or detailed -- it was a couple of different things. But it wasn't a good experience as the other companies that came out. Their cost was average. The quote was in line with all the other quotes. I believe he was right on time.

It was great. Best investment for the next 10 years.
