Not well. Took them forever to get permitting, took forever to install, tons of excuses, and leaks all over the place. 2 years now never have fixed the problems. Promises, promises wish I could put them out of business. Nobody should have to deal with such aggravation and disappointment. I saved for a long time for this work. I have no idea how Gene can sleep at night.

This is my last response about this company. I don't have time to falsify information about a company. For the record the report to Angie's list was written before I had to replace the screen around my pool. I just bought the house and was unaware that it was a requirement by the county since the previous owners went for years without having the pool area screened. I was not fined and the screen was installed but not by your company. As far as calling your company and name calling that wasn't me. Defamation is not what has happened here and if your company has established themselves as being a reliable reputable company, then there should be no worries. Hopefully when I go to open each shutter it will open properly and in our last conversation I asked for the final sign off to be mailed. I have yet to receive it.

Shutters did fail inspection the first time around but the issue was resolved for the missing screws and within a week passed inspection. A permit was obtained for this job on July 31, 2013 and work was completed and passed inspection by October 2, 2013-I think two months is a reasonable amount of time for a shutter install for twenty windows as well as passed inspection--Yes, the owner was sick, he actually was in the hospital for back surgery, and out of commission for two weeks, it was at that time that the error was made on the color of the shutters, but was resolved, at no extra expense to the customer-So, please excuse us for that-We still managed to have job completed in a timely manner. I was in contact with the homeowner the whole time, advising her of the situation. It amazes me how nice people are until something doesn't go their way. As the person that answers the phone, I personally do not like receiving messages calling me names, and telling me I am unchristian like and a liar-because someone reported her to the building department, for no pool barrier, and she said it was us-The last I had spoken to her about her barrier was that she would sign up the pool screen after the shutters-I was very helpful with this customer, and friendly, and even inquired how her daughters graduation went. I also worked with her about her move from Miami up to Palm Beach County, trying to rearrange schedules to meet up with her. This is a customer that is upset because someone reported her with no barrier on her pool and she was caught and probably fined, and blames us for that. I am sorry she feels that she has to make unwarranted claims against our company, when we did everything in our power to install her shutters and try to keep a happy customer. As a company that has been around for over thirty years, and is in an industry that word of mouth carries the biggest praise, we try to keep all our customers happy, and do get many that call back for additional quotes for new screens, and other work. I have always been complimented on my phone skills, and tried to help everyone as best I could. I am sorry she feels the way she does. Defamation of character is a crime, and lying is no better, but in the end, God judges all!!!

They did very poor work. They were referred by a friend whose a contractor and we had everything installed on our brand new porch that we took a loan out on in May. They dropped most of the aluminum and scraped it and had a problem with it. They did pass the inspecting but we are in Florida so we didn't get our rain season until the middle of July. My husband told them it doesn't matter when they come to fix it just make sure they call if they are not going to come. We will be taking time off from work and they have three email addresses and three phone numbers. Six times they made appointments and never showed up and never called. When they did come out on their own when we weren't home and spray painted the aluminum and then sprayed it with accrue paint over white paint and got paint all over the screens. They were reported to consumer affairs and the better business bureau and since then they have made two more appointments that they didn't show up or call on.

The patio has passed inspection---We have taken care of all issues for the homeowner, as well as supplying them with extra screws. There is nothing structually wrong with this enclosure, and other then a few cosmetic issues everything has been done to completion. As far as three e-mails or six different phone numbers, we have no idea who the homeowner was trying to get in touch with, but we have been in constant communication with them from the beginning.

The patio leaked when it was put in. They kept coming back repeatedly, but they never resolved the issue. The leak is still there.

If we installed the screen three years ago as stated--we have not heard anything from the customer that there is a problem with the screen in a very long time--We are happy to come and and fix a problem if we know about it-but until the customer actually calls the office with a problem-how are we suppose to know.

For the past 6 months we have attempted to get an issue resolved where the aluminun screen rafters are filling up with water. The company's owner, Eugene Swinford, originally advised us that the enclosure needed to be resealed and it was covered under warranty. Several appointment have been scheduled, and they didn't show up providing an excuse that the community gate guard would not allow them entrance (even though they were on the authorized entry list). As I am 89 years old, I feel Mr. Swinford, is taking advantage of the elderly. My son called on my behalf and was told they would come out to repair the screen at 8am on 4/27/2010. They cancelled 15 minutes before the appointment. It was rescheduled for 8am on Friday, and they didn't show, nor did they call to cancel appointment. We however called to confirm appointment the day prior, and did not receive a call back. Screen ETC is highly UNTRUSTWORTHY.
Description of Work: Screens ETC installed a complete screen enclosure on 6/20/2006 which cost $23,384.00, as a result of prior damage cause by Hurricane Wilma. The contract states "Super Screen 10-YR Warranty".

May 13, 2010 Dear Sirs: The screen enclosure that was built for the member was installed in 2006. Our contract clearly states that a one year warranty is on our workmanship. The super screen that is installed has a limited ten year warranty. We have been out to his home on many occasions, some of which, we were not allowed access at his gate. At some point caulking was requested by the homeowner to seal the beams, this is not something that we do, being the water needs to drain. Not only was the caulking requested, but they themselves caulked areas of the screen as well. Since most homeowners assume they know more about the screen installation than our installers, the installers did what was requested of them. The ending result of that was the water had no where to drain. The Owner, President, Qualifier of Screens Etc., Inc., himself went out to the home on Friday May 7, 2010, and removed all the caulking that should not have been there in the first place. Since the screen enclosure is well over a year old, if not FOUR years, there is no warranty on the work, but knowing that the homeowners were older, and that we rely on word of mouth advertising, we have tried to make them happy. Sincerely, Eugene E. Swinford, President Cc: BBB, Angie’s list
