Well, most of the time it's both but here in Lake Worth, what makes the job part more joyful is having local businesses owned and operated by people I know and I know I can rely on. The Guthrie family at Potty Doctor is one of those. Last week the porcelain throne starting acting out, not performing it's function the way it was designed to. I called the Potty Doctor Plumbing Service right here in Lake Worth, Florida on North Dixie Highway to share my latest joy, i mean job, with them. I gave a run down of the symptoms, water on the floor around the base etc. Chip Guthrie promised to have a truck and man dispatched within the hour. Twenty minutes later, the "Doctor" arrived and within the hour the problem was solved. Now, I'm fairly handy with home maintenance and I really do enjoy taking things apart when they don't work. As it turned out, this was one of those problems, that even if I had known what to do and how to do it, I didn't have the right kind of tools to do it with. So I was feeling very grateful and very smart to have called in the "Doctor" for a housecall. I must tell you all that when it came time to pay, I was a little shocked. Description of Work: I called before 8;00 in the morning to get help with a leaking and overflowing toilet. Having someone available to answer the phone 24/7 (a real live someone!) is a great service! Potty Doctor came in less than 20 minutes. He identified the problem, non-biodegradable baby wipes clogging up the line and cleared the drain from the roof top all the way through the line. The "Doctor" was prompt, professional and kind and did not make me feel as silly as I should have for letting this happen in the first place! Within an hour, all was well.

Description of Work: The plumber came immediately after I called with a stopped up kitchen sink. When he arrived he put down drop cloths and went to work in the kitchen. When that didn't solve the problem, he proceeded to the roof with a different tool. Then back inside to finish up with yet a different tool. He was not going to quit until he fixed the problem. We had an ongoing issue with our dishwasher not performing and told him about this while he was working. Through all our back and forth conversation he came to the conclusion of what all was going on and was able to fix the problem with the sink and the dishwasher. We were so happy! He said this job was a little more stubborn than usual. What I liked id that was not to be deterred from getting to the bottom of and solving the issue.
