I met with what I though was the owner at the first job site and was shown a portfolio of beautiful refinishing projects. Larry Galiano explained he would use a two part epoxy to level and correct the overall appearance of a carport pad that had been sectionally added on to over the years. The pad measured about 14 x 20, spread over an area of four different sections. He assured me the finished project would have a uniform smooth finish and replicate that of a newly poured surface. Completion time was to be three days. PROJECT NUMBER ONE: His first attempt ended up with the appearance and texture of a stucco wall, which was totally unacceptable. After 22 days, three attempts and $1,500.00 later I ended up with a finished project that was worse than what I started with. I now had a somewhat level pad with multiple low spots that retain water and dirt. Two weeks after completion, when I didn't think matters could get worse, the finish began to crack and is now beginning to break apart. PROJECT NUMBER TWO: What was to be a simple, straight forward concrete pad ended up being nothing short of another $1,500.00 disaster. This pad also covers an area of 14 x 20. Why it was poured on a day with 80% chance of rain is beyond comprehension. Larry ordered a mix that was to set up quickly in order to beat the rain. This might have worked in a perfect world, but for one person to float a 14 x 20 area using a quick set formula is a recipe for disaster. And that it was! Another pad that has multiple high and low spots that had to be commercially ground, a 20' long trough from rain running off the roof, a pitted finished because the mix couldn't' be floated fast enough, a freshly painted exterior wall that had dried concrete from one end to the other and stains on the driveway from wet concrete that was not rinsed off in a timely manner and was left to dry. The finish project was so bad it had to be painted to gain color uniformity because of the number of low spots and pitted areas that were filled in with another two part filling agent.. I would not recommend Nutec Construction and Development to anyone for any reason!iveness
