Leather Medic

Description of Work: Provider repaired a fine leather chair that had been discolored with marking pen ink which had been spread by an attempt to wash it off. The company's representative matched the leather color and painted over the damaged area. He then dried the paint he had applied.

Description of Work: Dyed my Lazyboy recliner the same white color that it originally was. The work was done in three days, and upon completion my wife and I were very pleased with the appearance of the recliner and ready to give all "A's" to Bob and Leather Medic. The problem is that only one week after the work was done the same green stains bled through and it was as if the chair had never been re-dyed. I called Bob to report the problem and was told that he never warranties stains caused by sun-screen (which he believes this is). He now is taking the position that he told me, in advance, about the prospect of the color bleeding through. The truth is that as he was leaving with the recliner, he quickly mentioned that sometimes the stains can eventually bleed through and sometimes the leather can crack. In fact there are cracks on the arms of the recliner caused by the dye, but I can live with that. Bob made it sound like he explained the risk to me before accepting the work. However, any mention of the bleed through possibility was glossed over and mentioned only after the contract was made and Bob was taking away the recliner to do the work. I never would have agreed to spend $500 if I was told that the recliner would show the stain I was having covered only one week later. Even if this occurred one year later, at least I would have felt that I got something for my money. Bottom line people is :DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
