Description of Work: Asked Doug Kelly to come out and give me an estimate to trim 7 Ligustrum trees by my pool. I had used Doug and his team of professionals for removal of several large trees in 2012 and had been very pleased. On this work, Doug came out for estimate as promised and gave me an excellent price and turnaround time. I did not end up having the work done because I received an unsolicited purchase offer on my home. I will definitely use Kelly's Tree service on my next development project.

Description of Work: Kelley's thinned out two Oak trees in our front yard. They came out and provided us an estimate the day after I called. Within a few days of our acceptance, they did the work. They did a great job! Their knowledge and professionalism was evidenced by the quality of work they did. I've learned over the years that YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Kelley's does great work at a fair price. We are very satisfied and will use them again.

Description of Work: I gave Kelleys an "A" for Quality and an "F" for price. My failing grade on price was due to the fact that I was charged $250 for the work done and an additional $250 for "Travel Charges." This happened even though in their AD on A-List they clearly say no travel charges will be applied. When I brought this to the attention of Angies List they assigned a A-List representative to address my complaint. David Woody, A-Lists Representative quickly and efficiently convinced Kelley`s Tree Service to refund the entire Travel charge to me. There is no doubt in my mind that had I not had the advantage of booking this service thru A-List I would not have received a refund. I notice that Kelley`s has not removed the "no travel charges" msg from their A-List AD but I do not know if future users might be charged for travel. I would recommend that if anyone decides to get a "quote" for Tree Service from Kelleys, I would highly recommend that they discuss the possibility of this travel charge in the estimate and get the estimate in writing. Finally I was told, after the service was performed, that Kelleys does NOT accept Credit Card payments for any bill over $500.00. This was also not on their A-List Ad nor was it told to me by Mr Kelley when he gave me an estimate.

Description of Work: I needed a topless, dead Queen Palm removed. The removal involved grinding the stump. During the estimate, they made sure their machinery could fit (fortunately there is an easement that accommodated the grinding machine). When the tree came down, it split, revealing an unknown bird nest with 4 baby birds that had been deep inside the tree. They assured me that they knew someone who could take care of them and carefully wrapped the birds in a dishtowel and put them in a shoe box to transport. I was so relieved and I really appreciate their taking care of the birds. The estimate and the final cost were the same. I will definite call Kelley's when it is time to remove another dying palm.

Description of Work: Mr. Kelley provided an inspection of the job to be done and gave an estimate, as per Tree Sugeon guidelines his recommendation regarding the pruning of four trees and hauling and cleaning the property of all debree was $300.00 this the was his standard charge.

Description of Work: We wanted to prepare our trees for hurricane season so all of our trees of various ages had to be thinned and lifted.

Description of Work: Kelley's worked to clear two and a half acres of severely overgrown landscape.They did a great job of getting rid of the non-native species of plants, trees,and overgrowth.There was a lot of cutting, chopping, grinding and hauling done to open up the property.Though a small crew they worked tirelessly and were very polite and courteous.

Description of Work: My job: At first I called Doug to get a quotation to remove 3 medium sized Avocado trees, 6 large Orange Jasmine shrubs and some other small shrubs on a foreclosed property my Wife and I purchased as our first home. He quoted $600 which I thought was a fair price. The property was surrounded by 15 - 18 foot Ficus trees that I intended to trim myself to 6 feet and asked Doug while he was on the property how much extra to do the trimming for me. He quoted an additional $600 and initially I said no, but later decided to have him and his son Rick do it. I am so glad that I paid the extra $600! He arrived on the property with a small bobcat type tractor, 4 workers (one of which was his son) two large trucks similar to dump trucks size, huge chipper and stump grinder. When I saw all the professional equipment and tools felt I made a good choice. 6 hours later after watching them grind several 10 foot high piles of Ficus trimmings knew that I was lucky to have said yes. They did an amazing job and worked extremely hard, best of all Rick, Doug's son worked just has hard too setting the example for the rest of the creww. Doug came back several times to check on the progress. No subcontractors, no day labor and they had the tools to do the job right.
