I moved into my home less than a month ago (9/23). I found a dead termite around two weeks (on 10/9) after moving into the home. During the walkthrough of my home the Lennar representatives informed my wife and I that the home is covered for up to the first year for termites through a company called Home Team Pest Defense. My wife and I placed a work order through Lennar’s website to solve this termite issue. On 10/22 a representative from Home Team Pest Defense arrived and asked if I had evidence of the termites. I informed him that it almost two weeks ago and while I have a picture of the termite, I did not realize they wanted a sample. The representative called said he called his boss, Robert Rodriguez, and that his boss said they would not provide me with any service due to not having any proof of what type of termite it is. In the past I have had numerous pest control companies come to spray for termites or other pests and never have they refused to provide me with service if I could not produce the pest. Every day people hire companies to prevent damage caused by termites and other pests. This company refused to to provide any treatment at all. When we spoke I could sense an attitude of not caring at all about my issue. The representative did not even check my home at first. The rep said he won’t do anything, said goodbye , and then came back after he said his boss suggested he look around the home. This company couldn’t even do the bare minimum until I said that I was not happy with the how his company treats clients. When asked, the representative explained a very elaborate story as to why they need to identify the type of termite so that they can determine where the termite comes from and in turn not provide service unless it falls under a strict criteria. I have never heard such a complicated reason to simply provide treatment for pests. The one year service is provided by Lennar and not free. Save your money and choose a company that cares about the clients.

I thought they were expensive for the services they provided and we seemed to have had a different tech every time. When my house watcher discovered some "droppings" we called for an inspection and were told we had dry wood termites (not covered). That they refer all this time of work to Orkin and the house had to be tented. We called another company from your list and they came out and told us it was localized and they inspected every inch of the house. We fired Home Team promptly.

They don't come into the house. We get a little thing stuck in the door so I'm not necessarily home when they're here. Their technician that comes, Moe, I know well and he has been very responsive to a number of issues that we've had. They're terrific. I like their responsiveness in making sure that the issue is resolved to our satisfaction. We had a fruit rat that was getting into the garage and so Moe, our technician was very good about coming back and setting traps because it gnawed through something that we put up to keep it out. We have been using them for 8-10 years now.

Stanley from Home Team Pest Defense explained the system and service to be conducted. The property was empty and he took his time to identify any specific treatment areas and addressed the issues on the spot. He then walked the property (1+ acre) and addressed and treated any exterior issues. He conducted the system treatment of the Taexx system and scheduled quarterly visits going forward. Stanley was very informative and made sure to explain everything to my wife and I. He spent nearly two hours at our property and left us feeling more than comfortable with the service received. We appreciated his professionalism and customer service and look forward to working with him going forward.

The cost of the contract is about $400 a year. It is like $120 per treatment. They are very good.

The cost of service was about $90 a treatment.

They came out a couple of months ago. I don't recall the price, but it was reasonable. We looked on Angie's list and found them. They sprayed inside and outside. They were on time and professional.

They service our house even when we are away. Their service is superior. They are polite and very competent. They are a very good value for the money. We have been very happy with their service.

Their service is good and they are very responsive. They come on their scheduled date and I don't have to be there during that time. They will leave a note and I can always call to reschedule.

Excellent as always- we always get the same service tech who knows exactly what todo- they are prompt- always call ahead-we have always been very pleased.

We just bought a house, and used to use this company in our old town. We got four estimates including one from them. Their estimate was about 1/2 the cost of the next closest bid. When the service people came out, they did a complete inspection of the property and did a really great initial service. Looking around the house 3 days later, I see thousands of dead ants and other bugs that we were providing room and board to without our knowledge. Definitely worth the money, and we'll be using them for our regular pest and termite service.

They are very professional and they do a great job. The technicians are knowledgeable. The customer service is good and the follow-up is great.

If there are any issues or problems they'll come out and take care of it for no additional cost. I do like them and think there are worth recommending. I've been using them for 2 years and its always the same person who comes out, which I like.

They always call before they show up and also call after to check in and make sure everything’s okay.

They are excellent. They are punctual and scheduling is not a problem. The technician has been coming here for a number of years now and he is the best. They are not cheap but they do a very good job. If you have an issue they will come back. They come three times a year. If I have an issue they will be there. I usually don't have many issues because they are very good. They do everything on the outside and don't have to come inside. I will continue to use them.

They're great! I have recommended them to others. They are punctual and they follow up with us. They are a fabulous company.

Excellent! The ant and spider problem was taken care of immediately. Courteous, professional, and nice to my pets! No hidden fees or sales pressure. I would highly recommend this company.

We have used Home Team for several years, on the few occasions that we have had ants, they came quickly and addressed the issue to our satisfaction. We have the "tubes in the wall" so they just come and spray the perimeter and hook up to our port on the outside of the house and inject the pest control.

I have a contract with them. They automatically come every three months, and I don’t even see them. They hook an outlet on the side of the house and pump pesticides. It’s a system. They leave the bill on the door after they are done. They are very nice, very friendly, very professional, and do a good job. Even if they are in the neighbor’s house they greet us. I am happy with them.

This is a very professional organization. Our exterminator calls before he comes each time and always asks if we have specific problems. If not, he inspects and treats and also removes any cobwebs and wasps nests within reach. He then explains exactly what he did and provides a detailed service report. I would definitely recommend Home Team Pest Defense.

The people that they have come out are very professional. They knock at the door to tell us they are here and to see if we have any particular problems. If they find anything, they let you know. If anything comes back before the next spray they will send someone out to take care of it.

I like them because I have no bugs in my house, and they are always very knowledgeable about what's going on in the area and what to spray for. They always give a time frame to come, and sometimes they are late, I think it's something they can work on.

Home Team Pest Defense sends out well trained pest control technicians to take care of the service or any problems. They are very good about coming out quickly if I have any problems.
