As a business owner away from my office I rely heavily on my laptop to remotely log into my HQ and do my job. I called Guardian after reading the reviews on Angie's List. The owner Glen answered the phone and tried to talk me through some possible solutions. It became evident he needed to make a visit. Glen showed up exactly on time and spent some time trying to fix the problem. It was obvious i needed a new hard drive so he took the laptop to his place of business. Not only did I get it back when he promised, but he managed to save a lot of my files and all my pictures.

Description of Work: I installed a "scam" on my computer by accident and it plus other problems slowed it. Our first encounter with Glen Hart was several years ago before we got Angie's List. I picked him out of the Yellow Book pages. Since then he has provided outstanding service for us--even going out and buying us a new router one time. For this current service he took over an hour scanning and removing junk. He also fixed the printer connection which didn't work because of changing to another provider. He did all this remotely while I watched in fascination. We certainly trust him with our passwords.

Description of Work: Glen Hart has assisted me with computer issues for probably two years, off and on. I don't even remember how I got his name. When I retired an old Dell and needed help with its installation and the transfer of its data to the new Dell, Glen came and worked carefully and with total patience on the multitude of tasks involved in such a monumental job. I was in awe of his capabilities and never worried about possibly losing any files. During the times he has assisted me, he has cleaned out contamination - viruses, etc. - and given me instructions remotely, via LogMeIn (a wonderful program!). His tutorials are great... as a retired career educator (41 years) I know a great instructor when I meet one. Glen is a blessing. We have worked together on site and remotely, as I said. Aside from his allergy to cats (I have 2), it's been clear sailing. Thank goodness for allergy medication! By the way, one day, after we'd finished with the computer, I complained of needing help with two new TVs and I was amazed at his abilities with them as well! I think he's a whiz with anything electronic... I've recommended Glen to two local friends. One of them, not a computer whiz either, absolutely raved about him and thanked me profusely. FYI, he provides a thank-you discount when we, his clients, vouch for him to others. Glen is a great guy, a whiz at what he does. At this most recent appointment, 8/15/12, I was at home and Glen was in his office. I use a headset on my phone and we had a fine session.

He is superior in trouble shooting and also a rare teacher in giving self-help ideas for fixing problems. One time he even drove to Office Depot and got us a new router rather than coming back after we got the part. We recommend him highly for his professional qualities and fair pricing.
