Although the job was very slow getting started (6 months from start to finish for a single family shingle roof), once the work did start, they seemed to hit their groove. Everyone who came to my house - from sales, to foreman to workers - were pleasant and informative. Everything was explained and documented along the way and my property was left spotless once complete. Special shout out to Jessica and Adrian who kept me informed.

Garabar is a very professional company to deal with for the dreaded new roof. No one wants to do spend the money. Garabar people have made this a pleasant experience. Raphael Sierra gave me an excellent presentation and excellent follow through...he always returns my calls or texts promptly. My inside coordinator is Jessica Romero...and I only have good things to say about her role. The workers are polite and make certain that they leave my yard as clean as they found it. The main thing is that they gave me promises and they have kept them. They are always there to answer your questions in a polite manner. The pricing was competitive and the service is outstanding.

The reality of getting a new roof is a messy one, but Garabar did an amazing job keeping it to a minimum. Proficient, professional, and dependable. The communication from their office staff, and project coordinator Jess, was outstanding. She was organized, efficient and very professional.

I can't begin to express how happy we were with the services of Garabar for a total house and porch shingle roof replacement. Adrian our sales person was honest, provided all details, and having several estimates I felt very competitive with upgraded materials. Then Jessica in the office step by step communicated everything over the months of time it takes to get permits, etc. In fact, even the supervisor Chaz was awesome explaining all that was being done. One company was going to have two guys dedicated. Guess what? Garabar had 8-10 employed roofers working together on the tear off, etc. The experience, quality, communication I can't say enough positives. Expenses like a new roof or any construction is always a bit scary here in South Florida. You will make the right choice with Garabar. And, I am not in any way related to anyone ...laff. Just an awesome company and outcome. Looks great.

From start to finish this was the best experience I have had with a contractor. Adrian was so kind and courteous and answered all of my many questions when deciding on which style roof to choose. Jessica was so informative and walked me through each and every step of the process. I never had to wonder what was next. They must be very happy where they are working to both be so happy and good at their jobs.

My electrician Michael Sagmoe of Blue Phase Electric recommended Garabar after my roof leaks and early discussions with other companies, one of whom was disreputable and wanted me to file a fraudulent insurance claim. Clayton Hogg taught me so well that another company refused to talk to me because I asked too many questions. Both Clayton and Jessica Romero kept me up to date by phone, text, and email. The workers were extremely polite, and kind and left my property clean at the end of each day.

To my contact with Ms. Pisco, Produc�on-Project Coordinator, the en�re process was flawless. The roofing crew was professional, knowledgeable, dedicated and very proud of their work. I have never seen a company that places so much aten�on to details and making them perfect. I never had any issues with the crew, office personnel and anyone I had to contact at Garabar. We had quite a unique situation with our roof but Garabar was a very accommodating company. We had a great experience.

The service provided by Garabar was outstanding during the roof and gutters replacement process. The staff was attentive to my concerns and professional in dealing with me throughout the process. The prices quoted when signing the initial contract were identical to what I ended up paying when the job was completed. The quality of their work was outstanding, and they cost about the same as four other competitors that I consulted. I am glad I contracted them because of their workmanship. The property was cleaned thoroughly at the end of the day even when they had to return the next day. Adrian and Jessica from customer service were courteous throughout the process, always responded promptly to my texts and emails when I had a question. And they always gave me advance notice when they were going to be at the house early in the morning. Garabar comes highly recommended to those who want a job well done at competitive price.

Garabar just completed my roof replacement and I am very pleased with the results. I love that they have a hurricane warranty. Raphael was very helpful with the planning and Jessica greatly assisted during execution- I appreciated how she was easy to reach and very responsive. Garabar installed new roof and with that came new gutters. Water is leaking behind my gutters and the fascia board due to incorrect installation. Garabar will not return my calls or emails and still has not come out to repair their mistake. I have paid them in full. This is after they ruined my wood floors by not covering roof properly during removal of old roof and stonewalled me for 5 months before their GM finally got involved and filed an insurance claim, Very unprofessional and unresponsive.

We needed a expeditious roof repair during a busy season. Garabar's team including Raphael, were some of the most diligent professionals I've dealt with. I’m leaving a detailed review of Garabar’s re-roof of my house to help those who, like me, want to know about the small stuff. For everyone else, I’ll provide a summary. Garabar was as competent, professional, and reliable a contractor as I could have hoped to hire. I targeted my re-roof for the dry season to avoid inclement weather. Since it was completed, the rainy season has come and gone, and Garabar’s work has been problem-free. They kept in touch with me throughout the process, and always called, texted, or e-mailed me back within a reasonable length of time. I watched most of the work as it was being done, and was left in awe at how efficiently they operated and at how detail-oriented they were. Their crew was able to handle long-term problem areas around the fascia and near flashing that I doubted could be properly fixed. They treated me as if I were their only customer. Garabar isn’t just a roofer, they’re a general contractor, and they’re willing to use those additional skills. Some roofers are GC’s but don’t want to do anything other than roofing. But Garabar also took care of replacing stucco and painting the new stucco, as well as painting the new fascia. This was 2 fewer services I needed to worry about and bid out. BIDS: I got about six or seven bids, and Garabar’s bid was very competitive. They were especially fairly priced with add-on’s like fascia replacement and seam tape. And their warranty was equal or superior to the other bids. My estimator was Tom Hogg, who was involved and accessible throughout the entire project, and who never tried to sell me on anything. In fact, a few times he advised against a service that would have been more than I needed. He was as knowledgeable as if he owned the company. And I asked a LOT of questions…several dozen of them at various stages. Tom answered every single one of them knowledgably and without any sense that I was bothering him. And everything he told me turned out just as he said. PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS: The only delay in the re-roof process was the permitting, which is outside of Garabar’s control. They worked with the city on my behalf and did not worry me or involve me unless it was necessary. Garabar knew exactly what my city required, and every stage passed inspection smoothly. COMMUNICATION: One of my key worries was hiring a contractor who would collect my signed contract and leave me hanging for weeks, and then just show up unannounced at their convenience. That never happened with Garabar. This company has depth and many points of contact: Tom my estimator, my project co-ordinator Moncell (who was beyond outstanding and always a really friendly voice to speak with), and my project supervisor Steven (who was on site at every major stage and at any other times that were necessary). I was able to contact any of them when I needed. Also, if one of them was away from the office, there was always someone else in their respective departments available (and willing) to help me as needed. Some of the other incredible people on their staff who helped me (and who I want to recognize for excellent service and taking ownership when needed) included Jennifer, Dianna, Shelby, and Rute. CONSTRUCTION: The re-roof happened in stages. The first day was the “big day”. That’s when a dozen guys were on my roof in 90+ degree heat all day. They tore off the tile, removed the old roof layers down to the wood deck, re-nailed my deck to current code, and then applied the black paper. This process took about five hours for my average-sized house. Once the black paper was installed, my house was water proof. In fact, it rained later that night and I noticed no water intrusion. The crew also replaced rotted fascia very quickly and with attention to detail. The crew was experienced, and was very careful and accurate. Next the water barrier and ridge metals were applied, which took less than a day. Time between the black paper and water barrier was just a few days. We then got lucky with tile delivery, which happened shortly after the secondary barrier was installed. Another Garabar crew came out promptly just a few days later and installed the tile with generous amounts of high-quality expanding foam (note: in my case, code required that a couple of rows of tile be nailed in). Total time from tear-off to tile install was about two weeks. Garabar also coordinated with a stucco guy to cover replaced flashing prior to tile installation. The roof looks beautiful and there wasn’t a single “sloppy spot” anywhere. There was no damage to my property, and the crews cleaned up every night before they left. They saved some leftover tiles for me in case any tiles ever get stepped on and broken. FINAL DETAILS: A crew came out to take care of minor “punch out” items and to paint the fascia. I have double fascia that abuts the walls, and they caulked both between the two fascia boards and where the fascia meets the wall. I wanted to use a specific exterior paint on my fascia, and Garabar agreed to use the paint I supplied. Their fascia arrived on my property pre-primed with a water-based primer. The only thing Garabar doesn’t do is gutter installs. However, they work with a company that provided me with a competitive quote and that did an excellent job. That company installed the gutters as required by the new roof warranty. One thing that needed some attention was the gooseneck vents. For some reason, the manufacturer doesn’t believe in adding a little weather strip to prevent metal from clanking on metal during windy days. It’s best to install the weather stripping before the vent gets installed on the roof, but it’s easy enough to install afterwards as well (something that Garabar, no surprise, also helped me with). Having several roof leaks was a major stressor for me, but Garabar took that stress off of me and made it their responsibility. I really can’t say enough positive things about the company. I’ve already referred them already, and will continue to in the future.
